Queen & Slim (2019)
Good Story, Acting, and Writing. Overpowered by the BLM message.
I loved the story, if I suspend my critical thoughts and ignore the "ACAB" messages and decide to just look at the story as a whole and how well the acting was, I'd give it an 8-9 out of 10. However no matter how much I look past it they're constantly shoving the 'all police bad' mentality, they could have done the story without it and it would be all the better for it, and if you really needed to input that message into the story I get it, just don't make it so that's the only reason why you made the movie. Bravo to the dialouge, bravo to the wonderful main actors Daniel Kaluuya and Jodie Turner-Smith, big reverse bravo to the forced message throughout the wonderfully crafted story.
Mr. Robot: 405 Method Not Allowed (2019)
One of the greatest episodes of television this decade, and perhaps ever.
This is the best episode of Mr. Robot yet, and up there with breaking bad with levels of creativity and suspense. The fact that there were two lines in the episode but still managing to keep your attention and waiting for every second during a commercial break to see what's going to happen next. Absolutely genius episode from Sam Esmail and I just don't understand how he was able to do it with what seems like immense simplicity. One of the greatest episodes of television this decade, and in my opinion, of all time.
Mac and Me (1988)
not enough mcdonalds
I would've enjoyed more mcdonalds or cocacola product placement, it would have make the movie 10x better. next time mcdonalds decides to make a movie I hope that they don't make the same mistake, movie would be a 10/10 if they dedicated more time to mcdonalds or coca-cola. ty
American Horror Story: Fire and Reign (2018)
WE DONT NEED ANY MORE BACKSTORY OMG
Still not as disappointing as last weeks episode, but why are you giving us even more backstory and leaving the last episode to conclude this mess they've made?
It's looking more and more like season 9 is going to be the first to continue off of another season. If they don't do that what they've done with the second half of season 8 is completely unbearable. I hate the fact that they just drag on the mess they made from last episode. They explain nothing. This episode was just some more backstory that they're going to reverse.
Are they going to address how season 5 ends while apocalypse is happening? Probably not. They better justify this with season 9 or a 3 hour last episode that isn't backstory. Pretty Frustrating. I recommend watching it only for the useful info, the 5 minutes that actually was useful.
American Horror Story: Sojourn (2018)
Useless Filler
Do not watch this episode if you want to be able to still have respect for this episodes director and writer.
Seriously what were they thinking when they decided that this episode needed to be an hour long, there was nothing but learning the origins of the robot and Ms. Venables or whatever her name is (she's dead anyway it doesn't matter). The whole thing about how he found a Satanist meeting is ridiculous, they better explain why Satan didn't come, otherwise he deserved to die in that useless circle he made. Seriously the character development with Michael was ruined with this episode.
Even the plot loopholes in season 3 and 5 are more unforgivable than this trash of an episode. The season could've done without this episode, I'm sure if I never watched this episode and watched the finale I would understand what all of the bs that happened in this episode was.
This is by far worse than any other episode from ahs, every other episode in this season was absolutely amazing. Jumping through hoops plot, waste of time, inconvenient filler, this could have been done in 10 minutes without the filler and only the needed info and then we could go back to the actual story. Completely useless. Why would we need any filler episode with a 10 episode season. this episode aggravated me.
