Drabet (2005)
Boring
YAWN YAWN YAWN! Ask any so called intellectual movie-critic, and he or she will say that this movie is oh so great. They will say that this movie deals with the dark side of man, with moral dilemmas! That might be true, but at the same time this movie has been seen many times before in Danish movies. Make up something new! Per Fly has been said to be a genius. Yeah well, if a genius is a person who can copy, then he is. The existential themes of this movie is not something new, Kierkegaard and the Sartre (just to mention a few) have written about this a long time ago. And what is up with Charlotte Fich! She is a Drama Queen in this movie. I understand the role she plays, I just don't believe in it. She overdoes it!
À la folie... pas du tout (2002)
"You can't stop loving it"
This movie is actually very good. Angélique (Audrey Tautou) is a young woman, who is in love with Doctor Garrec... But actually he doesn't even know her! But in Angélique's imagination they are in love. She is obsessed by him, and she keeps sending him love poems, flowers etc.
Doctor Garrec is confused: his wife thinks he has a secret lover, but he keeps telling her that he doesn't know this person at all! You may think this is "an ordinary love story" - but it really isn't! It's an amazing thriller. Something you have never seen before.
Audrey Tautou acts very well. You really believe in "Angélique"... Even though she is this crazy person, you can't stop loving her. She got something in her eyes, that just makes the smile happy... No, you can't stop loving her - and the movie too !
A Cinderella Story (2004)
typical Teen Drama
This movie was okay, I didn't fell asleep or anything, but let's face it: Haven't we seen this before? During the last couple of years many movies like this one has been released. Teen dramas with the simple plot Boy meets girl, boy loosed girl, boy gets girl back - with a bunch of weird persons on the side! The mean High School girls, the geek, and the the wonderful friends surrounding the main-character.
This movie is a typical teen movie, and nothing more. Hillary Duff is not a good actor, at least I don't think so.And what is up with her singing? Four songs on the soundtrack?
Chad Michael Murray is great (and cute) and therefore it ends with a total of 4 stars.
La bicyclette bleue (2000)
Ecxellent movie for the "love story" fans
Laetitia Casta acts fantastic! She is very convincing as the spoiled but strong Lea. The plot is brilliant: She finds herself in a situation where she has to choose between two men. The loyal but oh so boring Laurent, the man she can't have and the straightforward Don Juan named Francois, who does his very best to seduce her. WOW what a contrast. It may sound trivial, but it really isn't. The difference between this movie and other "triangle-dramas" is the brilliant acting! (laetitia Casta) It is without a doubt that the writer is inspired by "Gone With The Wind" but that is not a minus. Let's face it: "Gone with the Wind" was a great story, and it can handle a "remake". Especially a very good one. If you get a kick out of a great love story, then watch this one!
