Fate/Grand Order: First Order (2016)
Just play the game.
I've been playing the Fate/Grand Order mobile game for almost a year now*, and I honestly enjoy it a lot. I've had my eye on this anime since I started getting into the Fate series about a year and a half ago*, and just today* I decided to watch it.
Fate/Grand Order: First Order is based entirely off of the first story section in the game: Singularity F ("World 1", if you will). The anime started off promising, but then it started to feel rushed, and then there were some plot holes, and then it ended on a cliffhanger that was basically telling you, "Wanna know what happens next? Get the game."
In the end, this entire anime just felt like an advertisement promoting the Fate/Grand Order mobile game. (And this is the part where I start promoting the game) I'm just going to tell you right now, the mobile game is much, MUCH better than this in terms of both story & enjoyment. So, as the title of this review suggests, if you want Fate/Grand Order at it's full potential, just play the game.

It (2017)
Not flawless, but still an enjoyable thrill ride
(I have a pretty high tolerance to horror, so I wrote this review assuming you can handle something like Paranormal Activity (2007)) Here's my biggest complaint about this movie: I feel that It (2017) could have been scarier.
To me, this movie tries WAY too hard to be scary, and you can tell. For example: this movie relies too heavily on jumpscares, so after you've memorized all of them, the film isn't really scary anymore. They also added creepy children voices singing a nursery rhyme in the background every now and then in an attempt to build up the atmosphere (which I feel could have been executed a little better).
There is 1 scene at the beginning of the movie that I thought was scary, and that was Georgie's death. I know I said I have a pretty high tolerance to horror, but the death of innocent people under the age of 20 (in movies) always disturbs me. The build up was brilliant, even though Georgie's reaction to seeing Pennywise wasn't very realistic (realistic as in a 6 year old probably would've been sprinting away in fear in real life, so I'm not saying the acting was bad). But even this scene wasn't flawless; if I had my arm bitten off, I would probably have a more severe reaction than Georgie.
Putting all that aside, I would say this is a good gateway horror movie for anyone wanting to get into horror. And I would even recommend this movie to horror fans (even though there are several horror movies WAAAY scarier than this).
Overall, I like this movie. The story is entertaining, the acting is great and convincing (98.8% of the time), the special effects and the soundtrack are good, and the main characters are likable and sympathetic (to me at least).
