Jesse Stone: Lost in Paradise (2015)
Interesting police drama
I am writing comments on the series.
Parker created an interesting police character for some one had no police experience. It stereotyped detectives as alcoholic yet still be able to function logically.
Tom Selleck is a good actor but he was way too old as Jesse Stone. He looked 70s. It was almost sickening to watch his relation with women more than 40 years younger. He acted like a child molester.
Why did he use a Colt 45? LAPD detectives used 9 MM Beretta or Glock. He almost ran out of ammos in the ship battle with assailant.
It was also ridiculous for Jesse to linger with his ex wife.
Why did they put that stupid dog in the show?
Also it was sloppy to leave that Hasty character in the air.
May be some production will make more Jesse Stone in the future with a younger actor.
Blue Bloods (2010)
It was a good show compared to other crime dramas
The stories were OK considered that they had to solve the cases in an hour.
Selleck was undoubtly the anchor of the show. However, he was too old (should be in his 60s) and showed his age, it was time to wrap it up. He was way too old (should be in his 40s) in Jesse Stone series. It was sickening to see him romanced with woman as much as 50 years younger.
I could never stand 2 characters:
Errin's daughter, I was glad she was long gone.
EX-commissioner; He was way to old to act, or too young for Frank, well Frank should be in his 60s.
Marisa Ramirez I love that character, she had proven to be a tough cop.
I also liked Abigail - her acting was super.
The Rookie: Pilot (2018)
Entertaining
I guess it was tough to detail the boring daily work of LAPD. The one thing that bothered me was why the sergeant had a goatee? Was it another exception for black actor? LAPD only allowed mustache for patrol officers and detectives.
