I honestly feel like Jennifer Lopez purposefully ranks certain scores to ensure a specific outcome. I don't know if she does this on purpose, but I've noticed a trend where she and the other judges will praise a contestant verbally, without much criticism, but then J-Lo will give them a 90, while the other two give them like 94. She'll also do this the other way around where Ne-Yo and Derek give a contestant a lower score, but then J-Lo will give them like a 98. It feels biased and super unfair. After the results of this past season, i think I'm going to stop watching this show. That is unless they implement some kind of audience vote at some point to make it fair.
