Single woman finds herself in strange situations, mainly centered around her "spreadsheet", a database of her sexual conquests since getting divorced. A tad strange that an Australian-made comedy would choose a British actress for the lead role, but no matter. Any fan of drama series Wentworth will be delighted at the fact that half of the cast seemingly appear throughout the series. The supporting cast are funny, the children are thankfully unannoying and funny. The shenanigans are mostly those which a lot of viewers may be able to identify with, and will see the funny side. Those giving low scores might want to watch the episode where she helps a lover get their head out of their a*s as I'm assuming they could use the assistance.

Not as bad as i thought

When i went to see this i really didn't know what to expect. I hadnt seen the original but I'm also aware that remakes are seldom any good. This film starts well with the opening car wreck. Nicolas Cage portrays a fairly average but often believable character throughout this movie. For people who haven't seen this movie, you may well enjoy this as you don't really see the end coming by cage being tricked by all the women. The only quibble i had was that in the trailer it shows cage with his head in a tank full of bees, which was supposed to be part of cages 'pre burning' routine but only surfaced in the form of sound in the final cut. I have since watched the original and didn't spoil my enjoyment of either film. There are many differences, not least in the form of hippies vs women and there is no nudity in this film and possibly the lack of britt ecklund, but all in all i came out of this having got my moneys worth. I would point out that any men with feminist girlfriends as mine is, will probably enjoy this as they did hard candy.
