Don't know what to say anymore...
24 July 2022
Warning: Spoilers
As above. I have come to the conclusion that I'm not going to watch a Netflix original anymore. Even if they appear good, they won't be.

This is basically a family film wrapped up in mild explosions etc, aiming for the Jason Bourne crowd. That film was timeless. This isn't.

What you can expect from a Netflix film (over everything else including a plot is). Diversity. So we have the boss in charge that is black (check) we have the female in her feministic girl power position (check). I was waiting patiently for the third in the formula, that is the Asian element...it wasn't happening...but wait...yep they go to Bangkok (check).

So as with any Netflix film you always have the 3 above formulas. Even if it was a western in 1920s you'd have the 3. I was just waiting for some woke scene in it somewhere to appease another crowd.

Ridiculous.

Warning: Spoilers
Big no for me...

Started watching it then as soon as I saw the Tesla I basically lost all interest. Lol having a Tesla in any remote American town would be a no no as where would you charge it? And 2) it's like a million miles from town to town.

Then as it's a Netflix movie the gore is toned down. Lastly once again as it's a Netflix movie you'll have literally all ethnicities in the movie even though not all towns have all ethnicities. Lmao.

Started off well...then?
15 January 2022
Warning: Spoilers
As I said it started off well but during the last third it became a bit silly to say the least.

When the 3 of them were in the woods, the Dark Angel character (or whatever her name was) could have easily took out Tom Berengers character easily and without being noticed. She was under the grass for heaven's sake.

Then when she is captured she could if easily made a run for it but she didn't. She sits there waiting to be arrested.

Once arrested she says "I want complete immunity" and they undo her cuffs and let her bargain with the other guy.

Adding insult to injury he says "I like my steak cooked" and she says something like "I'm Japanese we have it raw"...what the hell?

Switched off after this as she was a brutal assassin that somehow became a big softy?

Cliche ridden.

Just hilarious how these movies set in the olden days whereby a woman meets a strange man on a train, he talks to her and before you know it they're married. Cheese fest.

2 FBI idiots.
22 November 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Bit silly really when you consider all the 2 FBI agents had to do was take the money, go back to their boss and tell him that they found nothing. That's it...the case would have been dropped, Liam Neesons character would of been classified a liar (don't forget there's no trace on the money so even Liam can't prove it was in lock up). The 2 FBI agents would have been rich...

...No. What they do is put the money in the car, the. Meet up with Tom in the hotel. Then threaten him at gun point (why?). Tom resists and lo and behold the chief captain turns up at the door. So now, it's beginning to escalate...what do they do? Yep they kill the boss man. Don't know why I continued watching but I did. It wasn't bad but just not realistic.

It's ok.
15 May 2021
Warning: Spoilers
It's not a bad movie at all.

Actually watching it a little way through it actually seemed more 'Rocky' than the 'Creed' movies imo.

The only downsides were once again the division they were in. Neither looked particularly heavyweight whatsoever. Everything just seemed so rushed, like there wasn't much training scenes or back history of the characters.

First thing I noticed was Michael Clarke Duncan's character taking on the rookie. I mean from my instincts he didn't look that great. He had no stand out talent ie rocky had the strong left and had no real interest to be a boxer yet he decide to train him as "he had something" ??

I won't mention the ease at getting a title shot so quick but I will mention how it was good to see a power upper cut and knockouts in Jadens early fights but the main fight was so boring. All you ever saw were little jabs here and there. And grabbing and boring stuff. In rocky you'd have the money shot. Rocky would take a use then pow he'd hit a nice left hook stunning the opponent. But this fight had none of that.

Some bits were good some bad. Ok film.

It was MJs fault yeh?...lol.
19 April 2021
Warning: Spoilers
5.7 on imdb yet there's no reviews listed? Hmm.

Starting watching this and got the feeling it was going to be an docu-info to the legend. Starts off ok with his vast fame and what he achieved but there's still so many little digs at MJ here and there I don't like...

You have the has-been Mica Paris saying that he used bleach on his skin and the shrink at the begining saying the same. Although the shrink did pay tribute (sort of) he kept dropping "he was POSSIBLY the best entertainer in the world..." Or at the end "the only person to blame ultimately was the user MJ..."

...Oh please don't spare us this nonsense. Built him up to knock him down. It's an ok docu but too much emphasis on it being his fault.

Warning: Spoilers
Lol... Just scroll through the reviews. 1/10 CONSTANTLY yet this somehow makes 7/10? How does that work IMDB?

The most envied and hated personality tries to have his legacy tarnished by a 'factual' movie? You kidding me? How did this win an award for facts if he was cleared?

So hang on I will go back into my youth now and make up anybody. Oh actually I met Winston Churchill. Oh ok so now I will sue him...wins award. That's how easy it can be.

Typical clichés
20 March 2021
Warning: Spoilers
**Sigh** Read the reviews and they all said it wasn't as clichéd as most 'horror' movies. But it is...don't even know how I made it to 42 mins. Actually I know why, cos one reviewer said there's a horrible death in it...so I'm persevering.

It's annoying. Why do people make bad decisions like this. The Josh actor seems to have his head screwed on (he was trying to be organised etc) but he gets mocked for being boring etc. Then they struggle with getting home but after finding a waterfall they're all happy again? If it was me I wouldn't trust anyone and I would be doing something more productive than wanting to smoke weed and get drunk...

Crap.

10 March 2021
Why has this got such a low rating? Mind you I don't trust this rating system at all. Actually most of the reviewers don't even know what they're watching tbh...

Anyway it's not just "another exorcism movie". And anyway, they're barely released nowadays so how can that even be a relevant comment? It's filmed well, the lead up and how she reacts and the actual possession etc.

I really enjoy these movies but unfortunately not a market for them anymore. What were ppl expecting in a possession movie? Lmao that's like saying 'i laughed' when watching a comedy...forget the reviews that are negative. This is a strong movie.

Was it Charlie? No it was Croker...silly me it was Mr Bridger.
3 March 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Seriously overrated movie. This movie made careers of some of these 'actors'. I say actors but the acting in this was atrocious. You can't even say it's a generation thing either as I'm no puppy to the world.

It doesn't go anywhere. I kid you not "Charlie" must of been said at least 100 times before 15 minutes. As did "Croker" and "Mr Bridger". My God the dialogue was amazing. Yes Mr Bridger ok Charlie you know what your doing? Yes Mr Bridger. But Charlie who are they? They're the drivers Mr Bridger...

A lot of reviewers on here mock current movies and the bad acting but this is horrendous.

Wanted to like this as I love gangster movies, but casting Tom Hardy? He is seriously overrated as an actor sorry. He has literally one character, one face, one attitude. It's all the same every movie...but people adore him? Why?

Greenland (2020)
5/10
Completely and utterly believable. 🤔
7 February 2021
Warning: Spoilers
It's literally ok...but I have got to point out all the absolute dreadful parts of this film. Some of the other critics made me lol with their comments but they're so true.

First things first, I don't believe for a second this could ever happen at such short notice like that. Those Meteors would have been noticed months and months or even years before that. Then Greenland became the chosen place. Why? If you assumed 75% of the earth would be wiped out how did you know Greenland would be the safest place even though you havent got the technology to spot meteors?

Literally as soon as they got picked his name appears on the main TV...wth? Ok so yeh that WOULDNT cause you to get you ass kicked long before you got on board. Then as the kid was trying to get his insulin it dawned on me; why they taking a sick kid...as soon as I thought that up comes a new sub plot of trying to get the kid somewhere safe. Zzzz.

So after being modern day superheros of our time (I mean look at all the things they avoided/survived from) Butler's character stops a plane and has a joke about his friggin weight? Then the plane crashed and the kid said in a joke way "I'm not flying again" lol I'm.being serious.

Lastly to sum up...Greenland is small. Far too small to have countless planes landing there. But guess what there was plenty of room. You got all the 'elite' of the world just being overrun by the under achievers of the world and erm, this isn't going to cause mass riots when they want to get to there new homes?

Im still shocked 900 degree winds going speed of light didn't manage to flatten the Eiffel tower. Or as it seems the wind managed to avoid 2 birds at the end. Oh wait those birds were part of the 25% that would be unaffected. Just remembered.

Predictable in the extreme...
6 February 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Omg. Like omg I lasted 20 mins or so. This is an awful awful film. Every single thing about this movie you just wouldn't do in that situation. It's just ridiculous. Can't anyone create a tense horror movie these days without a cliche? I mean that in itself would make it scarier surely...

I switched off when they got to the diner. I have no idea what happens later but you can clearly see the situation they created for themselves and how it will be perceived etc.

WHY try and warn that family? Why? Do you not realise how life works they'll ALWAYS see YOU as crazy if you hang out a window and scream THAT GUY IS CRAZY! oh and guess what? They crash. Well DOH.

Then, they stumble across the car where the family have been murdered. But wait you got to look at the situation you're in...there's no sign of the murderer. YOU now have your prints all in the car, alongside a motive (you need the car). The guy will obviously die so they'll be no witness. Can they not see if they got help they'll be chief suspects?

Then the diner..."I need paper towels" oh and then the waitress assumes these are crazy so immassumimg the cops got called...oh God such a crap film.

Darry! Darry! 2 annoying lead characters.
6 February 2021
Warning: Spoilers
How has this got such a high rating on here?

Darry! The 2 lead characters are probably the single most annoying actors in the entire world. Darry! The things they do and say you just never would do in real life and this situation. Darry!

Darry! So first of all they get run off the road. Then it happens again and guess what? They decide to go back and see if the dead bodies thrown in the sewer are still alive...wouldn't happen. Then he climbs in the chute. All this time the girl is still over reacting. Darry! She then waits on highway? How does that help?

Then Darry (think that was his name- I mean I would never know), goes into shock and doesn't talk (of course) and the girl still screaming at him. They go into the diner and most ppl would just make a call to police then stay with people. But no, they cause a scene forcing them to not be welcome (of course). Darry! Some lady phones to try and help them on the phone then they insult her...

Darry then comes clean about what he saw and the girl doesn't believe him. I mean why would she? She just see a creature throw dead bodies down a chute - he must be lying. Darry! Then they all leave a perfectly safe diner at night. Obviously cops get killed but wait, they still need to find a phone (whilst most police will be sending backup if no officers will answer their radio) Darry!

After all of this people still think the psychic lady is weird after everything that has just happened...Darry!

Oh and the guys name is Darry it must have been screamed like 50million times.

Rubbish.
5 February 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Nope, I tried. I really did. Having remembered that I could never really get past the halfway mark in this film so I thought I would revisit it. I got to 55 minutes (I'm so proud of myself).

Why the rave reviews? I guess it was the reviewers at the time so overwhelmed with this whole green screen newness that they thought this was going to be the future of battle films or something?

This movie...oh God where do you start? It's horrific. Set Infront of a green screen the whole film. A horrible filter colour on the camera. Then the woeful acting and dialogue. Then lastly I think I counted at least 5 different accents the actors had - coupled with Persians being black? Hmm

They tried to infuse comedy and sarcasm into the dialogue which just didn't connect. Omg Leonidas scene with the camp 8ft Xerxes is the moment I switched off. Xerxes had a Spanish accent the whole time. Then Leonidas TURNS HIS BACK to him and said some rubbish thing about something "well you clearly don't know our women" lol. It was like something from a carry on film.

Switched off. Rubbish. Always was rubbish, always will be rubbish.

Not good.
30 January 2021
Warning: Spoilers
OMG I tried to give this movie a chance. But I got bored. It got so annoying. Why cant Americans make good hard hitting movies? Saving private Ryan was amazing yet realistically brutal, this (as always) is cartoonist.

Where do I start? The aliens...you don't get to see much of them but they haven't outgrown the 'Predator' costumes. Why can't aliens ever look fairly normal? And why after traveling light years away want to land on a planet that watches daytime TV and eats takeout food? We have NOTHING to offer them.

Anyway you get the supremely typecast bad girl (Rodriguez) then the shamed ex Lieutenant that has to prove himself. Then you have the young leader that has to die to save the platoon...hmm really? Then and more importantly so, the first aliens were so hard to kill, yet later ppl in the street can kill them with a handgun. Then you have soldiers dying left right and centre but wait, little kids just don't seem to get hit. Just enough for a family heart to heart though.

Lastly it's the WOO HOOs and hi fives after every alien kill. Why? You're supposed to be focused marines.

Really liked it.
29 January 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Just watched this and really liked it. Like ppl have said for a modern horror to be good it must have something good going for it and it really did. Having the most random gore scenes just make it even more believable.

Just a couple of scenes I believe in real life the person would act different. First one, the girl was holding a knife about to cut her friends eye...why not just kill the Dominic guy there and then? Same with the injection thing. Could have stabbed him with it. Both times they were huddled together.

Lastly the ending...the Dominic character had no motive to kill that last group at the end. They did nothing to him. Yes, you could say the daughter of the guy that wanted to kill him is a motive, but it isnt as Dominic WANTED to be killed. Oh and after 10 years he still had blood on his face with white vest and red shirt...hmm.

Still a good film.

Not good. Boring and not believable.
16 January 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Writing this review as I'm watching it as I'm so bored. Forgot the 'plot' long ago...

Opens with a rogue drone pilot completely ignoring a direct order (would never happen), and the way he randomly did it just seems so unbelievable. Cue little to no remorse coupled with acting that was bad, just made this character completely unlikable from the beginning and it didn't change. Such a cockey immature fool. Should have done to prison.

Then you (hahahah) have a semi human (was it can't remember) robot/soldier with foul language and a temper and it was just laughable. Was just waiting for a racist remark and yes, it didn't let me down...he mentions something about being a black robot. Omg okaaay.

After this point must have been halfway through I have no idea what it's about. It's not engaging, acting is poor. Either it's wooden or its overacting.

Just don't watch it. You'll lose brain cells.

Original movie. Will offend lots.
28 December 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Just shows you how human beings are. How selfish they are. The whole world rejects religion throughout their lives yet when on a death bed they're now destined for 'heaven' or somewhere nice. Even after living a life of all sorts we are all assumed to go to heaven after we die. We no. It's literally because the soul can detect death is coming yet we can't control the outcome and it finally dawn's on them that they're going to be judged so out comes the 'God forgive me' talk.

I'm not overly religious but I know why the good people seem to die younger than they should, it's because the lord is pleased with them and wants them in Heaven. This movie of people killing themselves to get to the afterlife, which, let's face it with humans and their track record, will end up ruining something beautiful once again.

How can you expect to go somewhere else if you kill yourself first? Omg people are dumb. I can see the movie touches on these themes and because religion is sort of intertwined I'm surprised it got such a high rating (as I said earlier anything with religious tones will be met with a umm and arr from everybody).

Good movie. Original.

Boring...
28 December 2020
Warning: Spoilers
This had a great idea. Wow people killing themselves and actually in quite disturbing ways (cue Bullocks sister and the woman that tried to help her).

But then it gets so boring. Melodramatic self reflection scenes zzzz. Bullock is getting annoying these days with her scowling acting face and having all these strong feministic roles. Malkovich was annoying too. Wasn't it his goddamn house? I would of told everyone to get lost...they were dictating to him in his own home.

Then the fast forward scenes then flashback bit nothing really happens. They'll be another little whingy self reflection scene and zzzz gone back to sleep.

Could of done soooo much with this story but nothing.

US Version light years better than UK version.
22 December 2020
Warning: Spoilers
So I'm from UK. I originally bought this back in 2003. I recently revisited it as it was on Netflix and (surprisingly) the US version is on Prime. Have been binge watching them all.

Firstly I just want to say although the first series of the UK version is simply hilarious, the second series isn't even close. It's more darker and whereas I could recognise the jokes I wasn't really laughing as I realised I didn't really care about the characters.

The US version is literally a monster and I can definitely understand why. The first 7 series with Steve Carell can never ever be topped. The last 2 seasons (which were seriously dull and poor) I put on a par with the UK version. They have soooo much in common. You have the Andy character wanting to be a big star/Brent did too and coupled to the occasional titters and not actually laughing they are so alike.

The US versions had so many more characters that were funny in their own right. Dwight was hilarious (better than Gareth). Kevin (much better than Keith), Jim was a better character than Tim (Tim in series 2 was downright nasty and not funny at all) and lastly Pam was much more human and engaging than Dawn.

That's my honest opinion. The US took a great idea and made it what it should have been. Forget the stupid comments about British humour and US humour- it's all rubbish. Funny is funny and the US one had me howling in laughter. The UK version was just cringy.

YES We know it's scripted. Enough already.
17 December 2020
Warning: Spoilers
OMG I'm getting so tired of all the "scripted" comments. Do people never tire of being stupid? Of course it's scripted. All comedy sketches are...very few comedy shows use improv. My God people.

Regarding this episode I do think they have lost their ideas now. Yes cinemography was glorious but it just felt tired. I do think the way the trio are going they'll soon get forgotten about. There will soon be something else that'll steer them away from viewing this. The general public are fickle so unless you're in their face 24/7 you WILL be forgotten about.

Why not still do the normal shows and incorporate these in every other show. I mean, the fact they're focusing on these shows now mean that they must still enjoy the adventures...but it didn't appear that way.

All I kept saying was poor RS. Such a shame such a good car was ruined. The Bentley was neither here nor there. Was 6 years old so it didn't matter. Lol.

Awful. Horrendous nonsense.
16 December 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Decided to watch this film straight after watching the first matrix (as they were free on prime). What can I say? It's awful omg. How did it get such a high rating? I'm sure it done so well at box office literally due to the strength of the first...

It's just cheesy. In every way. Zion used to be a few people fighting for what they believe. In this one you have elaborate sets, costumes that are straight out of the post apocalyptic closets. Too many speeches. You somehow have some huge committee now that makes all the decisions for Zion. Where were they in the first one then? Farrrrr too much filler with acters/actresses trying to act/overact and it's deeply boring.

You have will Smith's wife (has she literally only one facial expression?) The scowled I hate you look. Zzzz. I'm literally writing this as I'm watching it laughing my ass off how bad this is. I'm tempted to watch the third installment just for the comedy.

Overacting. Zzzz. Speeches. Zzzz. Committee...zzzz.

Rubbish pro feminism nonsense.
14 December 2020
Warning: Spoilers
I gave the reviews a read. I then watched 15 minutes and then I looked at the cast list. The latter in itself just made me switch this off. It's like a who's who of all the 'celebrities' I despise. The Kardashians and the Jenner's are an excellent example.

Coupled with the fact this is just so pro feminism and politically correct (like I think they have every race/creed in this movie) which obviously there to not offend anyone...yawn. ironically the fact it's an all female movie BEING CRIMINALS surely doesn't advance feminism does it? Hahaha it takes it backwards.

Don't care about plot or anything but Sandra Bullock has lost her glorious looks omg she looks like Michael Jackson circa 1993.
