This film was a masterpiece up until the beach scene which should have been the end in my opinion. If not the beach scene, then maybe the one where he played the song over the phone. The present day characters and storyline were wildly unnecessary, awkward and somewhat cringeworthy if I may say. I mean you don't expect much to happen today especially after so many years of no contact. We didn't need 40 year old Birdy to explain himself, that was quite obvious, and this is what films are supposed to do anyway - have the viewers guess why a certain character does certain things. I would gladly watch it again but up to the aforementioned parts.

Bloody me I did not expect this sad ending! Especially not the way they have reacted. I don't know if it's in the Australian culture! I still don't understand the title but it certainly took me a while to like Josh's character. One thing I definitely did not like was when they got tested for HIV the day after! The virus is supposed to show in your system up to 6 months according to my readings! The other was the way Josh treated Geoffrey in the first season. Although Geoffrey might have been kind of too much in his way, I'll give him that! But anyway it was a very good show overall. I really liked the way mental illness was represented! Good job! The writing is very good!

I watched it last night and have been in a very sad mood all day. Even though things seemed to have worked out for Patrick and Richie, I just cannot shake this feeling for some reason. Maybe I just needed more of this realistic show. Looking definitely was not referring (just) to their sexual adventures, these guys were definitely looking for fulfillment and I am glad they seemed to have worked it out. I loved Patrick's confrontation with Brady regarding what gay should be like. Piece of advice: If any of you out there has found your Richie, don't you dare let them go.
