This is 2023 and I am re-watching The Pretender. I find myself going back to the old shows because all the new ones are CRAP. The Pretender had excellent writers, good actors and was suitable for the whole family. There have been other shows with similar story lines but lacking the humor and "justice" this one has. Two similar shows in the past that I enjoyed were "The Fugitive" and "The Immortal" with Christopher George. This show had the same qualities but was less intense. The hero was always on the run, evading and outsmarting the bad guys. No blood, sex, gore and most important NO WOKE. Happy viewing.

We watched the first 7 episodes for free and now they want money to continue. What happened? That shouldn't even be legal. They should have to warn you up front, at least, that you are only going to get a taste of the show on your subscription.

I agree with all the reviewers who gave it a one. The writer of this movie must just hate people who live in trailer courts and wanted to be mean to them. It was absolutely disgusting through and through and then to top it off there was no ending. Sadistic, vile and no story. Why why why. I now hate McConaughey.

I was happy to find a movie that wasn't full of vulgarities, political correctness and indecencies. Trouble is, it was an awful movie in every other respect. Poorly written, acted, directed and everything else.

I looked forward to anything "STARGATE". Until I saw this. It was terrible. Once again Hollywood had to inject their foul, disgusting political correctness in it and that, of course, destroyed it. People, they won't stop doing this until you speak up and stop watching trash.

How can you be given 1) gorgeous scenery, 2) a spinoff of one of the greatest shows of all time and 3) a decent budget and still screw it up? Hollywood Political Correctness and wokeism that's how. I made it about 15 minutes into the first episode and quit - forever.

We really enjoyed this version of "Reacher", the best yet. Not a lot of trashy language and "wokeness", just a good ol' crime show that has everything from romance to justice. Getting ready to watch it again. The Star, Alan Ritchson, was amazing. An actually believable hero for once. I hope there are many more shows like this in the future. I had just about given up hope for degenerate Hollywood.

How can a teenage girl fight professional hit men and actually win? Oh yeah, in a stupid movie. The father couldn't barely hurt the hitman, but the girl did and actually killed him? Seriously? Also she recorded the congress woman admitting to crimes. But she was held with a knife to the neck and then all that is admissible in court because anyone would of said what the girl wanted to hear. Really stupid movie. Seriously what is going on with all these stupid unrealistic movies recently?

I've decided not to watch anything Netflix recommends and possibly anything made in the last 10 years.

Perhaps my favorite movie of all time. It has it all: Romance, humor, fun, sadness and a little action. Great acting by great actors. Good morals without being preachy. Definitely one of a kind.

I agree with all the negative reviews I've read thus far but want to add: "I hate it when writers have young children using foul language. It's very offensive, not necessary and degrades the children actors."

I didn't know anything about it before I watched it. I'm getting ready to watch it again in order to digest all the implications. I was surprised to see it was 4 years old. I thought it was made yesterday as a result of the riots and the virus going on today. Yes, it's a "B" movie, but only because Hollywood elites will not allow a film such as this to be made. It had to be really difficult to find enough "outsiders" to even complete this project, so I give them an "A" for their efforts. I, for one, am sick and tired of Hollywood elite politically correct movies where they use a checklist in order to be sure to include every Liberal talking point in every movie, even when it doesn't fit. If you like Chuck Norris movies like "Invasion USA" and movies like "Red Dawn" then you will like this. I'm encouraging my friends to watch it.

Compared to most of the garbage movies out there today this was a work of greatness. Not really, but I said compared to most others. Finally, a pro-American story filled with actual heroes. I don't even care if it wasn't factual. It was entertaining and that's why I watch movies in the first place. It had human interest, lots of action, heroism, patriotism, humor and just basically a good story. I had about given up hope that movie producers could actually make a good pro American war picture. Now to pray for more like this.

I enjoyed season one and couldn't wait for season 2. However, the degenerate, immoral, politically correct crowd got a hold of season 2 and ruined it. I didn't even get passed the first episode. The story was unbelievable and stupid and unbelievably stupid and I'll never understand why today's writers think we want to hear the F word continually throughout the show. They are like little boys who just found out they can get away with cussing and so go around swearing all the time. Grow up!

I fast forwarded to see if the shaky camera affect was throughout. It was. So I turned it off.

Extremely dark and depressing and pointless. Makes you wonder why anyone would want to go to Africa. No good guys. No one to root for. Terrible ending.

I saw a couple of clips of this on Youtube while searching for more information about Amanda Tapping, who I loved on Stargate. Boy, I wish I had never found these film clips - they were utterly horrible. My image of Ms. Tapping was destroyed. Watching this even ruined my opinion of Samantha Carter. I can never enjoy another Stargate episode. Ms. Tapping was vulgar, foul-mouthed and disgusting. Not to mention this had to be the most boring movie ever. Four people "Stuck" on an elevator for the whole movie. Why, oh why, oh why did you do this Ms. Tapping. Another actress falls into the garbage dump.

To quote a popular TV series: "Look away, Look away, Look away. This movie will wreck your evening, your whole life, your day. Look away" I can't believe anyone would make such a stupid, nonsensical movie. Incredibily dumb. Add a double dose of Political Correctness and it is unwatchable. Look Away.
