A waste of time
17 April 2012
Warning: Spoilers
Total nonsense. Weak plot, bad acting. The movie is just an empty box, somebody forgot to fill it. Acting is at amateurs level, except for Kelly McGillis of course. I'm an horror movies addicted, so i've watched this movie just to add another notch on my belt, but really it was no fun and not scary at all. At the end of the movie the girl goes looking for Lee down the basement, and this is so unreal. They were packing their stuff before leaving and the girl thinks Lee was going to play hide and seek?

C'mon, that tells me a lack of ideas on how ending the movie and not just that...

good acting poor story
23 May 2009
Warning: Spoilers
i've seen this movie today. Basically it's a movie against the women, i wonder how it is possible no one noticed it. The Antichrist is the woman as a human being. The place called Eden referring to the religious meaning. The movie puts the woman in a bad spot, she's the crazy one, who tries to kill the man that tries to help her. A lot of gore/splatter scenes that are not necessary, just for the pleasure to shock the audience, or maybe, to keep the audience attention away from a very poor script, often boring. There's also a (not so hidden) final message from the epilogue. Look, you just killed one, there are still millions around you! I give two out of ten just for Willem Dafoe and Charlotte Gainsbourg's good acting. The closing credits list stunt doubles, body doubles and special-effects artists. Oh, and please, the talking fox! ah ah ah!

Big disappointment
4 November 2006
Warning: Spoilers
I had big expectations on this movie, but they've been betrayed. 9/11 tragic facts can't be reduced on two guys and their families. Sappy and superficial script, useless movie, big disappoint from the director of JFK and Natural Born Killers. Almost pathetic the scene with Jesus holding a bottle of water in his hands(i'm catholic but this is propaganda to me). The subject deserves more than this. If there aren't good ideas don't make movies only for the box office, please. I know the script is taken from the real life of those people, but to show it to us in that way means making it almost corny, and that's not right. To me the choice of making a movie in that way is a complete failure.
