Brilliant. Rosamund Pike was mesmerizing. The direction of the entire film was magnificent. And cinematography was outstanding. I can't vouch for the historical accuracy because I haven't read much about Mme Curie but I never gave it a thought while viewing/

There are very few movies I'll watch more than once but this one of those rare ones that I never get tired of watching. Autumn's performance is spectacular as she evolves from confused and angry to embracing the situation whole-heartedly.

A quirky little movie that held my attention for the entire length of the film. I'm not sure that the comic relief provided by the bumbling cop was necessary but it didn't detract from the film too much. I will say that the invention of the trombone killing machine (fiction) shows that someone associated with the movie was a bit twisted.

A story that shows all of the brutality of hockey in the 50's and 60's. As a kid, I just saw heroes playing a game but this movie shows the reality. Players were treated as property and could be traded any time to anywhere. Wives were left to take care of the family often without any help from the player. Owners treated the players as little better than slaves. Excellent performances from all but extra credit to Georgina, Mark and Kevin. The story was a bit unsettling as we see the gritty existence of the hockey player. They barely made enough money to make ends meet and the tension that existed in the Sawchuk household likely reflected an unspoken truth.
