Currency
Seventeen days ago bank accounts across America froze. Javier, a Cuban immigrant, and his daughter Carolina run their one-light towns only gas station when the Green-out hits. After a cascading malfunction crashes electronic banking records across America, the family realizes that they have what everyone in town will desperately need if money doesnt come back: food and gasoline.
For a time cash is king, but as money runs out and people lose faith that their bank accounts will ever return, electric utilities, factories, and telecommunications begin to go offline. Javier struggles to keep his little store open, but as the situation escalates, the family finds that they have very different ideas about what to do with their newfound wealth, how to charge for what they have, or what it means to exist in a world where the concept of currency is rapidly fading.
