Anyuta
'Anyuta' is an expressionistic adaptation of Anton Chekhov's short story, which follows a young woman during her rapid descent into spinsterhood. Despite her caring personality and her dedication to her roommates (and possible suitors), Anyuta must silently confront the reality that her dreams are withering away with age and that, due to warped social perspectives as well as to her customary silence, she may never be seen as the complete, fragile human being that she is. See Chekhov's work as it's never been seen before in this digital revisiting of the antique perspective-challenging techniques of German Expressionism.
