The Wilgus Stories
The movie triptych of three short stories by Kentucky Poet-Laureate, Gurney Norman. Three definitive moments from the life of Norman's beloved character, Wilgus Collier, a boy growing into manhood in the 1960's coal fields. Named one of the "Ten Best Films You'll Never See," in "The Village Voice," films from the triptych were selected for screening at Sundance, the Berlin Film Festival, SXSW, the New York Film Festival, Locarno, Rotterdam and others. Featuring tour de force performances by Ned Beatty and Frank Hoyt Taylor ("Junebug," "Obselidia").
