Christopher Walken made a guest appearance on this week’s “Saturday Night Live,” which just so happened to include Foo Fighters as the musical guest. Fans of the hilarious way Walken introduced Foo Fighters on “SNL” in 2003 were curious to see if the actor would give it another go, and indeed he did — Walken introduced Foo Fighters on this week’s show. Only this time, he put the emphasis on “Foo” instead of “Fighters.”
For the uninitiated, Walken introduced the band as Foo Fighters – with emphasis on the Fighters – in 2003, and the clip eventually went viral for the actor’s unique delivery. As it turns out, this was all Dave Grohl’s doing.
Recounting the event in a 2017 interview, Grohl remembered Walken asking the band how to pronounce their name.

Foo Fighters will give their fans goosebumps of the cinematic kind in February, when the horror comedy “Studio 666,” starring the band, hits theaters.
The film, which is released in the U.S. on Friday, February 25, 2022, was directed by Bj McDonnell (of 2019’s “Slayer: The Repentless Killogy” fame), from a story by Foo frontman Dave Grohl, with a screenplay by Jeff Buhler and Rebecca Hughes. “Studio 666” was acquired by Open Road Films Acquires for worldwide rights, and produced by Roswell Films’ and Therapy Studios’ John Ramsay and James A. Last night's telecast of Saturday Night Live, with Kevin Hart in his third time hosting, Alec Baldwin in a Christmas-themed Donald Trump skit and musical guest Foo Fighters, drew a 4.6 household Live+Same Day rating in the metered markets and a 2.0 in adults 18-49 in the markets with local people meters. It’s the last “Saturday Night Live” of 2017, and you’d think NBC’s perennial sketch show would go out with the bang. Getting Kevin Hart to host and the Foo Fighters as the musical guest is pretty much a case of busting out the big guns, after all.
Unfortunately, this episode of “Saturday Night Live” can barely be considered an extravaganza, and the holiday aspects of it aren’t even memorable or strong enough to use “it’s a holiday episode!” as an excuse.
So, what happened?

It will most certainly be the wedding party to top all wedding parties, but who will Prince Harry and Meghan Markle choose to sing at their wedding reception next spring?
One thing we know for sure is that the royal groom-to-be has no shortage of choices. He recently convinced both Bruce Springsteen and Bryan Adams to sing at the closing ceremony of the Invictus Games in September, showing his appreciation by bowing down to them both.

There’s still one more week to go before “Saturday Night Live” breaks for the holidays, but the show is still ramping up the yuletide cheer. In addition, like other “SNL” episodes with an experienced host at the helm, the tone this week felt more driven by their skill set than that of first-timers. And when it comes to this week’s host… well, it’s a very specific sort of tone.
Host: James Franco
Let’s be honest: James Franco is always at his best when he’s committing to a clear sort of character. It’s something we’re seeing right now with his performance as Tommy Wiseau in “The Disaster Artist,” and something we’ve seen before as he embodied known figures like James Dean or the dual roles of “The Deuce.”

The nominees are in for the 60th Annual Grammy Awards, and music's biggest night will feature some of your favorite artists ...though some were snubbed.
Singer-songwriter Andra Day announced the four major categories -- Best New Artist, Record Of The Year, Song Of The Year, and Album Of The Year -- on Tuesday's CBS This Morning.
As far as snubs go, Ed Sheeran was only nominated for Best Pop Solo Performance for his track, "Shape of You," to the shock of many of his fans. Lady Gaga and Kesha also received minimal nominations, despite the popularity of their albums.
However, Jay-Z and Kendrick Lamar earned quite a few Grammy nods, as well as Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee's "Despacito" song that features Justin Bieber.

William John Paul “Liam” Gallagher. Even his name sounds like a supergroup—some kind of Frankenstein’s amalgam that fuses a continuum of British rock, glass-shattering volume, and a semi-lethal Twitter account. Onstage at New York City’s McKittrick Hotel last July for his first American performance as a solo artist, he assumes his trademark position, arms clasped behind his parka-covered torso, crouched in a perpetual stare-down with an audience. James Corden is an award-winning host, but something tells us he secretly wants to be in a rock band. During The Late Late Show on Wednesday night, James took a ride around town with the Foo Fighters for his latest segment of Carpool Karaoke. Not only did the session bring things "full circle" for the band - bassist Nate Parker played through a karaoke machine during his first jam session with lead singer David Grohl - but the host also got to live out his wildest fantasies by performing front and center for a group in a guitar shop. Catch all the fun above!

The greatest band on the planet just piled into one SUV for a rocking “Carpool Karaoke.” Joining James Corden’s Southern California commute to work, the members of Foo Fighters talked travel arrangements, being a bit starstruck by each other, and of course, that (legendary) time frontman Dave Grohl broke his leg mid-concert and kept playing. It’s way grosser to hear Grohl share the details of that incident, but he swore it was “the best show we’ve ever had.” Also Read: Watch Rick Astley and Foo Fighters Mashup 'Never Gonna Give You Up' and 'Smells Like Teen Spirit' (Video) Later,...

Prolific producer Dick Wolf will next tackle the FBI, but not as part of his ever-expanding #OneChicago universe and not as a project for longtime distributor NBC.
Instead, it is CBS that has granted a 13-episode series production commitment to F.B.I. (working title, annoying periods included), a one-hour drama about the inner workings of the bureau’s New York office, to air during the 2018-19 season.
Wolf will executive-produce alongside Craig Turk (The Good Wife), Arthur W. Forney and Peter Jankowski, with Turk penning the first episode and serving as showrunner.

The growing trend for film-makers to discuss their work with the audience after a screening is ruining the cinemagoing experience. Please make it stop!
There is a disease in the heart of cinema, and that disease is the Q&A. More cinemas are putting them on than ever, partly as a response to the rise of online streaming, in order to “add value” to their offering – and audiences are lapping it up. Q&As with directors and cast sell out in minutes to people consumed with a burning impulse to ask why there are no nice characters in the movie, or what it was like to film all those hot scenes. Why? Who would willingly put themselves through this hell? When will we wake from this nightmare?
Imagine if other art forms enacted the same depressing, bathetic rituals as film-makers do with the Q&A. If, at the end of a gig,...
