Review of Four Frightened People

I thought I may have found something rare and special here but, turned out to be especially silly. De Mille was always good at involving the masses with sprawling stories but his technical effects were too often poor. This is no exception - here he wastes a fine cast also. The DVD release must be the shortened vers as the amount of unexplained action is laughable i.e; Lovely Colbert, lost in the jungle, dressed in vine leaves one moment turns up in a Leopard skin, fully tailored, costume the next! The print transfer is very good but when I think of so many other far better movies that turned up with poor transfers it's extremely disappointing.
