Barnaby Jones: Forfeit by Death (1974)
Exciting!
Always good to see Sheree North and on this Barnaby Jones, she was good as always along with the regular QM actress Lynne Marta.
Troll 2 (1990)
No where near as bad as others say,
I am a major fan of B movies, you know, poor acting and directing. I have always been a Troll fan even though it is really corny, but good. After many years I finally watched Troll 2. I first went to IMDb to see the poor ratings, but now with the Internet, I could watch the movie Online for free (and legal). I was surprised that the movie was Actually enjoyable to me, in a funny way. I am sure that the producer knew that this was probably below a B movie. Either way. I liked it. If you do not like it, just ignore it' it is not hard to ignore things you do not like, you have a remote! But if you must watch it, all 94 minutes of it. Drink a beer or maybe a six pak!
A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors (1987)
Slick!
I have read some other readers comments on this & they say the movie is like a fantasy, well I guess they have never dreamed. I mean come on, when you wake up a 2:30am from that wild dream, think about it; I'll bet it also was a fantasy. This is by far the best of all the freddy movies (BUT I have not seen Freddy VS Jason yet).
8.5/10
The Dead Zone (1983)
Fantastic
This movie is great! It has been running on the starz super pack lately. I have not seen this movie until a week ago and it is one of my all time favorites already. I was watching it with five other people and we all talked about it for half an hour after the movie ended. This is twenty years old!! I now see why the sci-fi channel has a series based on this. I like all the Stephen King books/movies (even maximum overdrive) but this one is tops. 10/10
Looker (1981)
High tech for 1981
It seems that people watch this movie only to give it a below par ratings. Well I liked this picture and the three others that were with me also liked it too. For 1981 I would consider it pretty high tech but for today a little dated, but when I watch any movie I always want to know when it was made so I won't judge it by contemporary standards. We all liked it and I will give it a solid 8/10.
Big Girls Don't Cry... They Get Even (1991)
Enjoyable
I watched this movie with my two daughters which are thirteen and eleven years old. They both really liked the movie (so did I). I have never even heard of this movie till I seen it on starz family channel. I would give it a 8/10
Fallen Angel (1981)
Tense to watch
I actually watched this movie at school of all places! It was in 1983 and I guess the school board wanted all young people to know about this disturbing topic. This movie is very tense for me to watch, I have a twelve year old daughter myself. This was a well made TV movie that I will give a solid 8/10.
Defiance (1980)
Decent Jan Michael Vicent flick
I seen this movie way back in probably 1981 & liked it. I happened to see the last twenty minutes of it on TV a few weeks ago. I decided to buy the VHS tape. All in all I still liked it. Filmed in the older & trashy area of New York City helped the overall feel of the movie. I am a little bias of the movie since I have always been a Jan Michael Vincent fan. I give it a 7/10
The Wraith (1986)
Wonderful!
This is my second favorite movie behind maximum overdrive! It just so happens that both movies are from 1986. The Wraith has great cars, great music, great racing action & decent actors. Too bad that most viewers of this movie will see it cut up on TV, but if you hurry, you can get it on VHS or DVD like I did.
Maximum Overdrive (1986)
Real good
My favorite movie ever and I don't like AD/DC! This movie gets such a bad rap cause we expect so much more from King! He actually had fun making this "moron" movie, about as much fun as I had watching this movie. I am a major fan of B movies & this is the best one.
Midnight's Child (1992)
I liked it!
I do not under stand all the bad talk about this movie; I mean come on! this was not intended as a hollywood block buster, it was made for lifetime TV. If you actually watch the movie closely or more than once, you will see that it is really kinda eerie. I watched this movie the very first time it was aired on october 1992 and have watched every rerun on lifetime since. I give it a solid 8 of 10
Children of the Corn (1984)
Great!
I have seen this movie an un told amount of times. I really don't know what it is. Maybe the cool music or maybe that no movies has ever quite been like this movie before. I must be popular since they have made at least 5 sequels. I would rank it in the top 5 of my favorite movies of all time.
Troll (1986)
Not that bad!!
It seems that hardly anyone likes this movie! When I first seen it in 1987 I really liked it. I already knew before I saw it that it was a fantasy & was prepared. It is not a scary/horror flick. I actually got more laughs than scares! I have always liked fantasy movies and this one did not let me down at all; I bought the video! I am sure that most persons that rated this movie bad dislike all fantasy movies, so why did they watch it in the first place? I would give it 3 out of four stars.
Brainstorm (1983)
Good!
I first seen this movie in 1984. I really did not pay much attention to it then. I for some reason bought the movie in 1998 & was really entertained! It was from 1983, but I have read that most of it was filmed in 1981. I can really relate to this movie now though. I would say that it gets a solid 8 out of ten. Most younger persons really do not remember the real cold war. 1983 was at it's height.
The Net (1995)
Sandra's ok to me!
I really like Sandra Bullock in all acting, but the net was the best! I don't care if the virus screens were a little fake, I liked it and bought it! I have seen it 10 times and are ready for more.
