Mulholland Dr. (2001)
A great movie, but a really weird one!!
This movie by David Lynch is somewhat really weird. It has a good plot capable of keeping the audience looking to the screen, but it fails in the end by not really expose the whole story as it should be exposed. It has a great sound ambience, and really good storyline but in the end it disapoints you by not answering the questions of the story...it also has the problem of raising more questions indeed. Well it's film worth seeing but not really necessary.
Cradle of Fear (2001)
This is one film only for the fans...
Well i've bought the DVD issue of this film and i'm proud to say that i'm not disappointed by the ?? i've spent in this film. This is a film for the fans of black metal band Cradle Of Filth (like me) and for the horror/gore movies. I suppose the band fans (or mostly) won't be disappointed by this film, but the gore fans will say that is somewhat a bad movie, well it really is not a "WOW" movie but more like a "oh" movie. I mean it's a film that has a mediocre script and a few actors that just don't fit in the role. For the positive side of things we have Dani Filth as The Man, a satanic adept of a serial killer?? that executes is orders of vengeance while Kemper (the killer) is in prison. The plot is divided in 4 stories somewhat interrelated by the killings and the killer :). Finally i think it's a movie worth seeing by those that just love all the blood and black metal music.
Shadow Hours (2000)
This film teaches us to reject temptations...
I especially like this one movie. It completely got me on the screen. It's a story about a ex-alcoholic/drug addict that works in a gas station by night. He has a wife and is starting a new life, but a guy starts to approach him and making him offers of lusty and desirable things. We then enter the world of this rich guy, a world of music clubs, girls, drugs and much more. A really entertaining night world, that can easily temptate anyone.
This film is also somewhat well directed for the kind of film that is. It's a film worth seeing for everyone i think.
Cube (1997)
You'll love this one!!!!
This is a big, awesome, great movie. It's original and disturbing. It gives you a perspective of how relations evolve in a closed space like for example...a cube. The concept of this movie is also very original. 6 people were put in a gigantic cube with lots of rooms, some of those booby trapped, and they have to escape. They don's know how they got there, they don't know why they got there, basically the only thing they know it's that they need to get out of there because they have no food nor water and in a few days will die. A great movie about relationships without the feeling of "deja-vu". Sometimes you need to see a film that is simple in all its aspects. Has no complex plot or sudden turn-overs to the story, sometimes you just want to se a movie. More simple than 6 ordinary persons and a closed set it's difficult, but this one is very very good.
