Silver Spoons (1982)
Funny how actors can affect your opinion
I used to love this show but Ricky Schroeder turned into a bigoted POS. I give it 5 stars because of Jason Bateman's excellent acting, as well as the rest of the cast. I will never watch any show with Ricky Schroeder again. I won't watch any Mel Gibson, Will Smith, Kirstie Allen, Tom Cruose, James Wood, or Randy Quaid movies again. I refuse to put money into their pockets. Silver Spoons was a good show for the time. It is just too bad that the supposed star of the show (he wasn't, Jason Bateman stole the show) turned into such a sorry excuse of a human being. I am glad Jason Bateman was the one who did so well in his career.
Ginny & Georgia (2021)
Those who are bashing the Ginny character...
I do not understand those bashing the Ginny character. You obviously forgot your teen years and never knew anyone from a dysfunctional family. The show does not whitewash people's lives. I do not understand why it is addicting, but it is, and this is coming from someone over 60.
Each of the actors do a great job with their characters. As in real life, each person has their flaws. I was happy to see Jennifer Robertson in the series. I enjoyed her in Schitt's Creek, and she is equally good in Ginny & Georgia.
I am glad my daughter recommended this. Because of the negative reviews, I was not going to add it to my list.
Edie & Pen (1996)
A fun film
I don't get those that rated this poorly. The cast was great. I have always liked Stockard Channing, Jennifer Tilly, and Scott Glenn so it was great to see the three of them together. The cameos were great. So many wonderful actors.
Stockard Channing has proven she can portray a sophisticated woman or a party girl. In this movie, she does a little of both.
Jennifer Tilly did a great job with her role. She is wild and lovable.
Scott Glenn has proven he can play a wide variety of roles. When I saw him in Urban Cowboy, I hated his character. His character in Silverado was stern, smart, and funny. In this film, he is a regular man living life.
I have watched this film several times over the years and love it. It is one of my comfort movies.
Dog Gone (2023)
Don't listen to those knocking this film
First off, I must say, Rob Lowe has gotten better looking with age. I do not understand the reviews talking about the son being annoying. What reality do you live in? I thought the character reflected many young people who graduate from college and feel lost. The love for his dog was heartwarming. I really enjoyed this movie. Knowing that it is a true story, it restores my faith in humanity. So many good people helped the family.
I think all of the actors did an excellent job. I am totally in love with Gonk. It saddens me that some people are so jaded they could not find the beauty of this story.

Charlie Minn is a horrible director and person
This was clearly just an exploitation of a horrific event and Charlie trying to bash first responders. I would love to know where he got some of the video and why he felt the need to show some of the scenes. How horrific for the families. Charlie obviously does not understand the meaning of sensitivity nor compassion. And let me be clear because it is obvious Charlie doesn't believe in honesty, the first responders did an EXCELLENT job with the chaos they were dealing with. People were calling in saying there were multiple shooters and there were shooters at the mall next door. I live in El Paso and remember this day very clearly. Thank God I watched this for free but I should sue Charlie for my wasted time.
Conspiracy (2008)
Do not listen to the negative ratings
Val Kilmer, Gary Cole, and the rest of the cast do an excellent job. The fact that some reviewers are upset about the point speaks volumes about them. Blaming the nudity is laughable. Unfortunately, the hatred of immigrants is very real and this movie shows the good and bad in people. Val Kilmer has always been one of my favorite actors so I do not know how I missed this movie when it first came out. The only reason I liked Top Gun was because of Anthony Edwards and him. The quietness and strength of his character are admirable. I also love Gary Cole in everything he does and think of his Office Space character while at work. His character is very different in this, and he is very believable.
Always Be My Maybe (2019)
Great movie with a great cast
Loved everything about this movie. It does what a movie is supposed to do and that is to FEEL. I laughed, and I cried. And it has a strong message if you pay attention.
Live in Front of a Studio Audience: Norman Lear's 'All in the Family' and 'The Jeffersons' (2019)
Excellent live show!
I wish armchair critics would remember that all of these cast members m, except for Ms. Gibbs, are not to original people so why would you expect the same performance? Everyone did a great job and made me reminisce about my childhood. Thank you to them all and thank you to Mr. Lear for being the voice of truth and reason.
Same Kind of Different as Me (2017)
A wonderful movie based on a true story
I really do not understand the negative comments on those offended by the spiritual aspect of this movie. This is how this woman was and how her family is. You sure show a lot of hatred for something you do not believe in.
For the record, Renee Zellweger did not have a facelift. Do some research. Our faces chance as we age, especially when we lose weight. The whole cast did a wonderful job.
I do not believe in organized religion but I believe in God and Jesus and everyone's right to their own beliefs. But I would never trash a wonderful movie based on my own biase and hatred.
