Exclusive: Lisa Rinna is back as Agent Billie Reed in Peacock‘s Days of Our Lives limited series Beyond Salem, and there’s a slew of new and returning characters she’ll be interacting with—some more closely than others.
Monday’s premiere sets up Billie’s role as an Isa agent searching for six precious jewels that formed a priceless artifact known as the Alamanian Peacock. After they were stolen 30 years ago, the gems are suddenly resurfacing all over the globe.
“It’s a little bit like the Maltese Falcon except that we’re looking for the Alamanian Peacock,” Rinna said of the mystery weaving through Beyond Salem. “There’s a lot of wink-wink in this with bringing back past characters. I mean, it’s the funniest thing that Billie is working for the Isa. There’s a lot of tongue and cheek and I think the audience is in for a great ride.

“Days of Our Lives” has been on the air since 1965, but now there’s even more “Days” in our lives. On August 1, the NBC soap launched an online digital series exclusively on the “Days of Our Lives” mobile app.
The new “Days” spinoff begins with an eight-episode series “Chad and Abby in Paris,” which explores the supercouple’s experiences in France, where they landed after departing from Salem earlier this year. They’ll be returning to Salem on “Days” proper this fall. In addition to Billy Flynn and Kate Mansi in the title roles, the online episodes will reintroduce “Days” favorites Austin (Austin Peck) and Carrie (Christie Clark) as well as a brand new character, Juliet (Rachele Schank).

Long-running soap opera “Days of Our Lives” is launching a new digital offshoot scripted series that will debut on Thursday on The Dool app.
“Days of Our Lives: The Digital Series” will star Billy Flynn and Kate Mansi as Chad and Abigail from the broadcast series. A popular couple on the show, they left the fictional town of Salem — where the series is set — to reconnect in Paris and have been off the broadcast show for several months.
The eight-episode digital series will follow the two and see what they’ve been up to in Paris before their return to Salem on the broadcast show this fall. Austin Peck’s Austin Reed will appear on the show as well, along with a new character, Juliet (Rachele Schank).

Photo Credit: Sue Coflin/Max PhotosIn 2017 an original play written by As the World Turns alum Trent Dawson, "The F," was produced at Manhatten Rep. in New York City. The play struck a chord with theatre-goers and is now being made into a film.
"The F" follows a real-time argument between Josh and Amanda. In this dark comedy, a New York subway platform becomes the stage for two lovers to battle about the truth: Did he or didn’t he? Who’s perception is real and who is delusional? A strange commuter seems to have the answers to their problems, but will either of them listen to her?
Dawson brought together a number of his former Atwt co-stars to perform "The F" live on stage at a benefit for the film on Friday, June 22. (Click here to support "The F" via the film's GoFundMe page.)

The 2015 edition offers another expansive selection, bookended by two films that aren’t on any radars just yet. Sbiff will open with "Desert Dancer," producer Richard Raymond’s directorial debut. Starring Reece Ritchie and Frieda Pinto, the drama follows a group of friends who wave off the harsh political climate of Iran’s 2009 presidential election in favor of forming a dance team, picking up moves from Michael Jackson, Gene Kelly and Rudolf Nureyev thanks to the magic of YouTube. The festival will close with "McFarland, USA," starring Kevin Costner and Maria Bello. Telling the 1987 true story of a Latino high school’s underdog cross-country team,...
