Eric Kripke’s The Boys has forever changed the superhero genre as it featured an unorthodox take that was immediately appreciated by the fans. The popularity stemmed from deviating from the original concept of how superheroes should be noble and save the day. However, Kripke defenestrates that notion as he makes the heroes become villains. As a result, the show became an instant hit and the new favorite show of the viewers.

Even though it’s not the guest stars who make the show, but the regular cast, there is some magic about one-episode characters played by someone the audience knows and loves. Just like every major procedural on TV that has been running long enough, NCIS had its fair share of actors, hosts and even political figures joining the team.
Here are 8 biggest names who have joined the NCIS family throughout the years, and where exactly in the show you can find them.
Troian Bellisario
Best known for her portrayal of Spencer Hastings in Pretty Little Liars, Bellisario appeared in two episodes of NCIS as Agent McGee's sister, Sarah. Her appearance on the show before her big break is easy to explain, as Troian is the daughter of Donald P. Bellisario, the mastermind behind both Jag and NCIS.

Gotham Knights only managed to last 13 episodes before being cancelled by The CW, but given the poor reviews and ratings, there wasn't too much of an outcry from DC fans.
A group of Batman's sidekicks protecting Gotham City in the wake of his death is a cool premise, but ditching the costumes gave the series a mid-2000s feel which alienated a lot of comic book readers from the start.
We've previously heard rumblings that Jensen Ackles was being eyed to play Batman. Now, showrunners James Stoteraux and Chad Fiveash have confirmed they were given the green light to include the Dark Knight in at least one episode.
However, they had someone different in mind to don the cape and cowl.
Talking on The Showrunner Whisperer (via Multiverse of Color), Stoteraux explained, "There was a scene from The Dark Knight Returns that we wanted to do. It was Robin’s...

Supernatural, by the CW, was one of a kind. As a long-running series, the show had the unique opportunity to flesh out characters and the overarching plot throughout 15 seasons.
The CW show amassed a loyal fanbase over the years, partly due to the stories they got a chance to tell. There was a certain novelty to the show, and the creators rarely veered off this path throughout its run.
Erick Kripke, the show’s creator, utilized the seasons to the best of their abilities, telling the stories that he wanted to. The 22-episode seasons also allowed him and his team to push the limits of their creative boundaries, and they delivered each time. Moreover, he was not above using his love for The X-Files on the show, and Kripke delivered one of its best episodes ever.

A new horror podcast is on its way from iHeartPodcasts, Aaron Mahnke’s production banner Grim & Mild and creator/writer Carlos Foglia. The scripted audio thriller Consumed, inspired by Mahnke’s novel of the same name, will consist of 12 episodes with the first two set to premiere on January 31.
The series follows struggling journalist Sarah Simmons who finds herself stranded in a small, idyllic town for a weekend after her unexpected vacation turns into a nightmare. Steeped in history and filled with legends and lore about the woods near the centuries old cemetery, the residents of Danville, New Hampshire soon learn that the past is not always meant to be forgotten. Their tranquil lives will be forever changed, while the hope of a future without terror rests on the shoulders of a stranger who may hold the keys to the past.
Rachel Rosenbloom stars as Sarah Simmons, an aspiring but out-of-work journalist compelled to investigate a string of mysterious deaths in Danville. Arturo Castro portrays Gordon Morales, a fish-out-of-water intellectual librarian who teams up with Sarah to re-examine the dark history of this small town.
Ruth Connell portrays Sheriff Max Allen, an overqualified police officer who has found herself the head cop in this normally sleepy town that has just seen its first murder in decades. Genevieve Padalecki portrays Rema Brooder, the matriarch of one of the town’s founding families who will do the unthinkable to keep her family safe.
Misha Collins reprising his role as Professor Jeremy Bradshaw, a professor of folklore straddling the line between skeptic and believer, from the podcast Bridgewater.

A swarm of Supernatural fans joined the picket line at Warner Bros. in Los Angeles on Thursday to catch a glimpse of series creator Eric Kripke as well as the cast and other writers who had reunited in solidarity with the ongoing WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes.
Other familiar faces included executive producer Rob Singer and star Misha Collins. The Winchesters stars Meg Donnelly and Drake Rodger also showed up to support.
“It’s a little overwhelming. It’s very humbling, and it’s very insane,” Kripke told Deadline from the picket line as he observed the masses trying to get photos, autographs and even glimpses of the creatives behind their favorite show. “The Supernatural fandom is a majestic and terrifying force…I have to say, I sort of expected this madness, but it doesn’t change how insane it is.”

In a critical ruling, the Supreme Court struck down affirmative action programs at Harvard and the University of North Carolina on Thursday, upsetting a 45-year precedent and putting an end to the systematic consideration of race in college admissions.
Ruling that the programs at both schools violated the Equal Protection Clause of the Constitution, the court voted 6-3 in the Unc case and 6-2 in the Harvard case, in which Justice Ketanji Brown was recused.
The decision could have serious implications on the college admissions process, with the NAACP calling it a “willful ignorance of our reality.” The effects of the ruling could stretch as far as race-conscious workplace programs.
Weighing in on “The View” Thursday morning, Whoopi Goldberg denounced the Supreme Court decision.
“The 14th Amendment is supposed to promise equal protection,” Goldberg said. “But if everyone was actually treated equally, we wouldn’t have had to put in affirmative action.

American superhero show ‘Gotham Knights’ ended its run after Season 1, as The CW network decided not to renew the show for Season 2. Actor Misha Collins, who was playing District Attorney Harvey Dent in the series, had slowly begun transforming into his villain alter ego Two-Face, finally turning into him during the season finale.
However, as the show got scrapped after that moment, Collins said that he had hoped to further explore the character.
While the actor had earlier expressed his disappointment over the cancellation of the show on social media, speaking to Deadline, he said: “Well, as the series winds up, we’re really just getting introduced to the Two Face character, and it would have been rich and rewarding to have explored him devolving down the road and the inevitable fights to bring Harvey back, which would, of course, have involved a tremendous amount of inner turmoil.”

Spoiler Alert! This post contains details from the series finale of The CW’s Gotham Knights.
Gotham Knights ended its one-season run on The CW on Tuesday, as the network bids farewell to many of its scripted series.
The episode, titled “Night of the Owls,” opens with the crew in quite the predicament as they try to explain to Gotham Pd how they’ve once again been set up by the Court of Owls. Meanwhile, Rebecca (Lauren Stamile) is holding Harvey (Misha Collins) hostage inside Wayne Tower with his daughter Duela (Olivia Rose Keegan) strapped to a bomb. If Harvey unleashes Two Face, then Rebecca promises to disarm the bomb.
While he’s being questioned, Turner (Oscar Hayes) gets quite the shocker: Batman didn’t kill his parents in cold blood. In fact, he was defending himself from the couple, who were hired to murder him. In a (somewhat) fortunate turn of events,...

Gotham Knights co-creator Natalie Abrams didn’t want to leave without saying goodbye.
On the night of the drama’s series finale on the CW, Abrams — who created the DC Comics-based drama with Chad Fiveash and James Patrick Stoteraux — posted a heartfelt message Tuesday for her beloved “BatBrats” who were about to see their show end after one season.
The series from DC, Warner Bros. TV and Greg Berlanti Prods. was a respectable ratings performer but was canceled to make way for the network’s new (see: cheaper) business model.
“Gotham Knights is coming to an end,” Abrams said on Twitter. “It’s taken a while to accept this fact, to grieve the loss of something so unique and ethereal as this first project. From the moment I pitched Greg Berlanti the two sentences that would become this oddball underdog of a show, it no longer belonged to me.

Los Angeles, June 20 (Ians) Actor Misha Collins, who plays Gotham District Attorney Harvey Dent in the superhero show ‘Gotham Knights’, has expressed disappointment over the cancellation of the series. Misha lamented not being able to further explore his “villain arc”.
The District Attorney was later poised to be Two-Face who is one of Batman’s most iconic villains. Last week was a good one for the NHL’s Golden Knights, who won the Stanley Cup, but not for The CW’s Gotham Knights, which was canceled after its freshman season. Today Misha Collins, who starred as the dashing, idealistic District Attorney and Gotham City mayoral candidate Harvey Dent, took to social media to reflect on the superhero series and thank its Bat Brat fans.
“I’m incredibly bummed, and selfishly disappointed to not be able to fully explore my ‘villain arc,'” he wrote on Instagram (see the post below), “but I’m proud of the show we made and so grateful to have been able to work with such a smart, caring, good group of people.”
Said “villain arc” was to be Dent’s transformation into the horribly disfigured and shunned Batman adversary Two-Face.

Gotham Knights‘ Misha Collins has broken his silence regarding The CW series’ recent cancellation. The actor, who plays Gotham City’s district attorney Harvey Dent, admitted to feeling “incredibly bummed” in a lengthy tweet sent Monday afternoon.

“Gotham Knights” will not be returning to The CW.
After just one season, the finale of which airs June 27, the DC series cancellation news comes alongside renewal announcements for “All American: Homecoming” and “Superman & Lois.”
Focusing on Batman’s adopted son after the Dark Knight’s death, the show shares a premise with a video game dropped last year, though the two are unrelated. The heroes of Gotham attempt to maintain justice after the Caped Crusader’s untimely demise.

The CW has canceled Gotham Knights after one season.
The DC Comics-based drama was one of three scripted series whose fate had been left in limbo along with Superman & Lois and All American: Homecoming, which both are being renewed. A total of four existing CW dramas will make it to next season, along with previously renewed All American and Walker.
Gotham Knights has been a respectable ratings performer and, under different circumstances, could’ve made it to a second season but, with the business model of the CW changing under its new ownership, only a handful of highly rated (by CW standards) existing scripted series could make the cut.
“We love all those shows, and they all do very well for us in different ways” the CW’s Entertainment President Brad Schwartz said last month about Superman & Lois, All American: Homecoming and Gotham Knights.

It’s the game almost every TV show fandom has played at some point: Who from one show we love play on another show we love? And since Misha Collins is always down for some fun, we decided to ask Gotham Knights‘ resident Harvey Dent to do the mashing up and give us his picks for a Supernatural–Gotham Knights casting session. But be warned, he jokes before unfurling his choices: “This is not something that is safe for you to do at home, but we can it here in the safety of this studio.” Up first is a doozy… Jensen Ackles would play Batman. And he nearly did! “This is actually a conversation that we had. … We almost worked it out so that [he] would play Batman on our show in a flashback,” confirms Collins, quickly taking a swipe at his ex-costar’s “long-standing fantasy” to play a superhero. “Obviously...

Saving the late Batman’s city — and managing a secret evil side — is far from kid’s play, so it’s nice to know that Misha Collins is at least getting a bit of a break when it comes to his viewing habits… and partners. “[It’s] all shows I am watching with my children because my children are vegetables who just zone out on television,” joked the Gotham Knights star when he sat down with us in our New York offices. However, given the Collins tots’ excellent taste in TV, we can’t really judge them for it… even if Collins calls himself a bad parent for allowing certain titles to slip in. “We like to watch a few things together… One of them is Curb Your Enthusiasm. It’s inappropriate for children their age,” he notes before listing a couple more shows, including Disney+‘s The Mandalorian, “which we all just love,...

[Warning: The below contains spoilers for Gotham Knights, Season 1 Episode 5, “More Money, More Problems.”] Misha Collins just can’t make up his mind! One might even say he’s of two minds at once. Which is exactly why he wound up playing Gotham Knights‘ Harvey “Two-Face” Dent. The Supernatural fan fave recently sat down with us to chat about his new CW series and admitted outright that he wasn’t looking to sign on to another show so soon after wrapping Spn. His mind, he says, was made up. And then he heard about Harvey. “I had a call with the producers and writers and they explained to me what their plan was for not only for the show but also the arc of my character over the course of the first season,” he recalls. “And I was like ‘Ugh, this is annoying because I really want to do this!’ It was too good to turn down.

“Gotham Knights” has arrived on The CW, but this time, there’s no Batman in Gotham.
In fact, the Bat is dead, and it’s unclear who killed him. But of course, plenty of people are going to put their minds to solving the case of Gotham’s most reclusive billionaire and dark knight. But it might just be some of the city’s youngest — and criminally active — residents that are able to piece it together.

The CW’s Gotham Knights wasted no time throwing us into a shocking mystery, one that will see the scions of Batman’s most notorious foes — and no less than Bruce Wayne’s adopted son — attempt to clear their names.

“Gotham Knights” has arrived on The CW, introducing not only the adopted son of Batman, but the children of some of his most famous rogues. That includes Duela, who is apparently the Joker’s daughter — but is that actually her true identity? Well, Misha Collins won’t confirm or deny.
Here’s the situation: Duela (Olivia Rose Keegan) is a crafty, maybe crazy young thief, who we meet in the first episode of the new series. She’s flanked by Harper (Fallon Smythe) and Cullen (Tyler Dichiara), and together, the three of them are paid to break into Wayne Tower and steal a very specific gun. But, as it turns out, they were hired to do that job as a means of framing them for the murder of Bruce Wayne, who is, of course, exposed to be Batman.

Spoiler Alert! This post contains details from the series premiere of The CW‘s Gotham Knights.
The CW’s Gotham Knights premiered Monday and, with it, Misha Collins made his return to the network, about three years after the end of his 12-season run on Supernatural.
In Gotham Knights, Collins plays Harvey Dent, Gotham’s charismatic, hard-charging District Attorney. With a rigid sense of right and wrong, Harvey’s idealism and single-minded quest for justice will ironically and tragically transform him into one of Gotham’s most feared supervillains, Two-Face.
The series picks up in the aftermath of Bruce Wayne’s murder, with his rebellious adopted son forging an unlikely alliance with the children of Batman’s enemies when they are all framed for killing the Caped Crusader. In the season premiere, Dent is still the straight-laced Da, who is desperately trying to solve Wayne’s murder and take care of his son.

The Batman is dead. Long live … his previously unseen adopted son?
That’s the premise behind “Gotham Knights,” the CW’s latest (and last?) DC Comics-based TV series, potentially putting the pin in a remarkable 18-year run encompassing everything from “Smallville” to the expansive “Arrowverse” and the still-airing (for now) “Superman & Lois.” If this is indeed the end, it feels like a sad, destined-to-be-ignored footnote rather than a triumphant farewell.
Of course, the Dark Knight has always been a particularly sparkly gem in the DC crown, which probably accounts for why his solo exploits remain the dominion of feature films, leaving various television offerings to dig and scrape in the corners and crevices of the Batman mythos for storytelling opportunities. Just in the last 10 years we’ve gotten Batman’s city before Batman (Fox’s “Gotham”), Batman’s butler before Batman (Starz/HBO Max’s “Pennyworth”), Batman’s...

There is no Batman in Gotham Knights, unless you count a brief wide shot of Bruce Wayne in his office and a closer one of his bloodied corpse on the sidewalk. That is, indeed, the whole point of Gotham Knights: The series is set in the panicked aftermath of the Caped Crusader’s death, as his adopted son Turner (Oscar Morgan) tries to catch his dad’s killer and in the process emerges as a hero in his own right.
But even in his absence, Batman casts a long shadow — one Gotham Knights struggles to get out from under in the six hourlong episodes sent to critics. It’s Batman’s work that links nearly all the characters, Batman’s death that finally brings them all together, Batman’s history they’re made to sift through and Batman’s legacy they work to live up to. Harvey Dent, better known as Two-Face, has always been one of Batman’s most formidable foes — but what happens when you take the Bat out of the equation before Harvey even transforms into his villainous self? Well, according to “Gotham Knights” star Misha Collins, it actually makes some elements a bit easier.
Collins is making the jump from the world of the supernatural to a world of superheroes on Tuesday night, with the premiere of The CW’s new series. In it, he plays Harvey Dent, Gotham’s white knight of a District Attorney. Of course, we all know how his story progresses. But, in this series, Batman is dead within the first 10 minutes of the episode.
So, how do you play one of Batman’s fiercest villains, with no Batman to face off against?
“I think it actually works very well for creating a new series,” Collins told TheWrap ahead of the premiere.

For many years, Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles' Sam and Dean Winchester singlehandedly led "Supernatural" as the monster-killing brother duo everyone wanted in their lives. They had many friends and allies come and go — but the two remained the show's leading stars, and everything else revolved around them.
When Misha Collins' Castiel walked in, the show felt truly complete — the actor's performance as the serious yet charming angel and his ability to put the brothers in their place made "Supernatural" a lot more fun. Castiel went on to become a staple of the show, a breakout character, if you will, and remained loved for over a decade. He frequently came across as a character who lacked foresight; he was often clueless, and he didn't understand sarcasm ... or what Sam and Dean were up to most of the time. Castiel slowly adapted to life on Earth, evolving into an irreplaceable member of the Winchester family.
