Omg, it's finally happened.
Adam Sandler fans are getting a Happy Gilmore 2, nearly 30 years in the making.
The sequel of the 1996 hit comedy is a dual project between Netflix and Happy Madison Productions, Sandler's company.
Sandler hooked a generation of viewers with his crass, blue-collar character infiltrating one of the most white-collar sports.
With his anger management issues and working-class mannerisms, we felt like he was one of us. And we couldn't help but root for him to win.
Happy Gilmore couldn't cut it as a hockey player, but it turned out he was hellah good at golf -- with a custom hockey stick golf club.
And fans loved him, turning golf into a spectator sport that drew all the wrong crowds.
At least, that's how Shooter McGavin -- played by Christopher McDonald -- felt. He tried so hard to earn that gold jacket, only to lose it to a scuzzy amateur golfer wannabe.

Goldberg replied, “First of all, it’s all the weight I’ve lost. I’ve lost almost two people. I am doing that wonderful shot that works for folks who need some help, and it’s been really good for me.”
Clarkson soon disclosed her personal experience with weight loss and stated that she, too, had shed a significant amount of weight recently. She clarified, “Mine is a different one than people assume, but I ended up having to do that too because my bloodwork got so bad.”
She elaborated, “My doctor chased me for two years,...

The Willennium may have started nearly a quarter of a century ago, but Will Smith has been dominating on screen since the early 1990s. The Academy Award-winning star has been a blockbuster juggernaut with a commanding presence on screen, dabbling in anything and everything. Serious fare like "Concussion," edgy superhero stories like "Hancock" and "Suicide Squad," action-packed dramas like "Enemy of the State," sci-fi thrillers like "I, Robot," musicals like "Aladdin," and plenty of goofy nonsense like "Shark Tale" and "Wild Wild West" have all let Big Willy Style flex his acting muscles and show that he truly is a jack of all trades. From his humble beginnings in the ensemble piece "Where the Day Takes You" to the recently announced "Bad Boys: Ride or Die," Smith is one of Hollywood's most prolific and profitable performers. And fortunately, he's also one of the best. It's time to get jiggy wit'...

Adam Sandler is one of the most prolific comedy actors working in Hollywood right now. The actor has his particular brand of comedy, with his gruff voice, loud humor, and the inclusion of Kevin James in many of his films. Though the actor has proved his acting chops in more dramatic roles such as Punch-Drunk Love and Uncut Gems, his comedic roles are still classics.
One of his breakthrough comedies was the sports comedy Happy Gilmore. The film follows the story of an ice hockey player who competes in a local golf tournament. The film was a huge commercial hit, putting Sandler on the map as a bonafide comedy star. His co-star Christopher McDonald mentioned that Sandler had shown him a copy of a sequel for the film.

Before Alan Ritchson was Jack Reacher, he was Kevin “Thad” Castle, the Blue Mountain State football team captain in the cult TV comedy series. I’m not at all familiar with the series, but according to Deadline, Blue Mountain State is eyeing a comeback as a sequel series is being shopped.
Alan Ritchson would reprise his role for the Blue Mountain State sequel series, with Darin Brooks and Chris Romano also expected to return as Alex Moran and Sammy Cacciatore, respectively. The original series premiered on Spike TV (remember that?) in 2010 and aired for three seasons before it was cancelled. It followed three incoming freshmen attending Midwestern college football powerhouse Blue Mountain State who must quickly adapt to college life and juggle football, girls, classes, and nonstop hazing. Over the years, the series has gathered a cult following, even spawning a Kickstarter-funded follow-up movie, Blue Mountain State: The Rise of Thadland.

Besides its banters and humor, The King of Queens cast contributed to the show’s success. Although a relatively unknown actor at the time, it’s hard to imagine someone else doing justice to Doug Heffernan’s character as Kevin James did. The King of Queens originally aired from September 21, 1998, to May 14, 2007. The show revolved around a Dink couple, Doug Heffernan and Carrie Heffernan. Carrie’s father, Arthur Spooner, also lived with the middle-class couple. While these three were the show’s main characters, the episodes also included friends and co-workers. With the show’s finale airing on...

Kevin James: Irregardless is a brand-new stand-up special by the titular actor and comic, produced by Amazon Studios. The standup special was released on January 23, 2024, and it was directed by Kevin himself. This one-hour set is all about Kevin and his family and the issues faced by his kids, who are from the current generation and seem to live a different kind of existence.
The sixty-minute set on his family includes his four children and his lawfully wedded wife, as well as the issues he faces while communicating with them. The show began with a goofy dance of his, which was to prove a point about his age and health. There is a stretched-out set on him being pre-diabetic, and his physician could have requested him to begin a strict diet. Sadly, the entire gag felt like a rant on how physicians should come clean instead of creating fear...

Be it solely for the memes or because you're one of the many moviegoers who genuinely enjoys the film, "Paul Blart: Mall Cop" was a bonafide hit that started a franchise and, though it may not be how we generally think of him, asserted James as a butts-in-seats movie star.

All My Children actor Alex Musser, 50, died from a shotgun wound to his chest due to suicide, the San Diego County Medical Examiner has concluded.
The actor’s fiancée, Paige Press, who discovered Musser’s body, first shared the news of his death after he died Friday night at their home in Del Mar, California.
According to a statement from the local medical examiner, Press discovered Musser “seated and slumped forward on the bathroom floor. She noted a firearm near him and an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound to the chest and called 911. Paramedics and law enforcement responded and confirmed the death.”
Musser’s death is not regarded as a homicide as there were no other contributing factors to his death besides the self-inflicted gunshot wound.
“Rip to the love of my life,” Press wrote in a series of Instagram posts, which also included photos of them throughout their time as a couple.

Will Smith talked about the sequel to I Am Legend and shared much insight into his state of mind, past and future on Saturday while appearing at the third Red Sea International Film Festival.
The actor, who said he used to think he would become a scientist because he always enjoyed figuring things out, used that as a segue to poke a bit of fun at himself while appearing at the event, held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. “I love puzzles, I love problems. Yeah, so I started making my own problems. Life is going too well.”
That was read in the room as a reference to the 2022 Academy Awards ceremony, where he won the best actor Oscar for his role in King Richard, but infamously slapped host Chris Rock onstage after a joke about Jada Pinkett Smith’s shaved head. Controversy ensued, and Smith apologized and expressed his regret.

Sony’s Spider-Man Universe films, an attempt to take villains and supporting characters they have pre-mcu rights to and make them A Thing, have had at best mixed success. But since the first “Madame Web” trailer dropped, fans have latched onto star Dakota Johnson’s delivery of a line describing the movie’s villain, Ezekiel Sims.
“He was in the Amazon with my mom, when she was researching spiders, right before she died,” Johnson’s Cassandra Webb intones as part of a number of voiceover lines that don’t seem to draw much emotion from the actress. And yes, “Webb” is her character’s last name even before developing precog powers allowing her to see events before they transpire — and change them.
The text has been joined with the bashful Kevin James meme:
What am I, some kind of researcher in the Amazon with your mom when she was researching spiders right before she died?...

The news that multiple Oscar nominee Michelle Williams was the reader for the audiobook of Britney Spears’ memoir “The Woman in Me” was too delightful for “Saturday Night Live” to pass up. In a pre-taped sketch for the Nov. 11 episode hosted by Timothée Chalamet, Chloe Fineman as Spears introduced a cavalcade of celebrities auditioning to be the reader of Britney’s book.
Fineman was everywhere in the sketch: She also played idiosyncratic actress and model Julia Fox, and a manic, borderline illiterate version of Chalamet, while the actor himself played Martin Scorsese (who recently directed Chalamet in a perfume commercial for Blue de Chanel).
Other highlights included Sarah Sherman as comedian John Mulaney, referencing his most recent stand-up special, “Baby J,” about his drug addiction (but in a funny way); Molly Kearney as actor Kevin James, but instead of reading from the memoir, Kearney just recreates the ubiquitous meme of...

Since the early days of his career on "Saturday Night Live," Adam Sandler has established himself as one of Hollywood's most prolific actors, producers, and filmmakers - not to mention comedians! Adam's versatile approach to comedy along with his recurring collaborations with friends on screen draw audiences to his movies and keep viewers coming back for more. The "Hustle" star is known for bringing his fellow actor and comedian friends to star in his film projects, like Kevin James, Chris Rock, Rob Schneider, and David Spade. But he notably incorporates his family - especially his wife, Jackie Sandler - into his movies as well.
Recently, Jackie played a particularly big role in Adam's latest Netflix movie "You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah," which also stars their daughters, Sadie and Sunny. She also voices a character in Adam's upcoming animated feature, "Leo," which also includes their two daughters.

Last month, a smirking Kevin James broke the internet. Over the past few days, an image of Eric Stonestreet is going for second place on the podium. A promotional image of Stonestreet embodying his hilarious character Cameron ‘“Cam” Tucker in the award-winning ABC sitcom Modern Family has begun to circulate on X, formerly known as Twitter. The photo of Stonestreet’s Cam, clad in a checkered lilac button-down shirt with the sleeves slightly rolled up, his hands clasped in front of him, giving a slight leg tilt, and pushing forth an anxious smile,...

The comedy starring Leah Remini and Kevin James lasted nine seasons from 1998 through 2007, and the two leading stars look back fondly on their time on the CBS comedy series.
Remini and James took to social media to pay tribute to the show on its 25th anniversary on Thursday.
"25 years ago today, we aired," James wrote in a caption on Instagram.
