David Tripet
- Production Manager
- Producer
- Additional Crew
After graduating from the NYC School of Visual Arts earning a BFA in
Film, David moved out to California. Over the years he was given the
nickname "Doctor" for his calm ability to solve issues between Talent
on set, Production, the Bond companies and the Studio. He always made
sure projects were done on time and on budget but still having a
creative edge so the studio marketing department had something to sink
their teeth into. He was an Acquisitions executive for many years at
Trimark Pictures before getting involved with development, production
and post production. "The joy of working at a smaller studio
environment was being able to wear many hats and to creatively fix
problems when they arose as there was not always a budget luxury to
fall back onto." He has been on both sides of the table when it comes
to pitching projects and understands what the creative people want and
the needs of the studio so that a picture can be interesting to any
audience on any platform and still make a profit. He has a gut feeling
when casting and was one of the executives that gave both Jennifer
Aniston (Leprechaun) and Angelina Jolie (Cyborg 2) -- their first
feature starring roles. In 1995 he signed a Co-Production deal with
LIVE Entertainment (now part of Lionsgate) and produced three films
with them: The Arrival (with Charlie Sheen), Dead Men Can't Dance (with
Michael Biehn) and the horror classic Wishmaster (Presented by Wes
Craven) which spawned a few sequels. Since 2020 he is mentoring first time writers to prepare their feature scripts for review by agents as well as the studios.
