Young Sheldon’s final season brought a lot of completely new events into young Sheldon Cooper’s life, securing his independent future after leaving for California and also contributing to The Big Bang Theory’s storyline. Recounting Sheldon’s earlier years as a child and then a teenager, the show took a much closer look at all the atmosphere he grew up in, highlighting some major twists that will later on find their explanation in the words and actions of The Big Bang Theory’s Sheldon.
Though the original show doesn’t really dwell on the character’s relationships with his family and especially with his mother, since Sheldon has lost his father at a young age, The Big Bang Theory still proves that the seemingly aloof quirky character has in fact pretty much deep feelings that he was just trying to conceal, and Young Sheldon serves as yet another proof for it.

When The Big Bang Theory first aired, its target audience was about the same age as the main characters. Ten seasons passed, the fans of the show have matured along with the characters. The writers of Tbbt, Chuck Lorre and Steven Molaro, along with the CBS network, decided that the audience would watch the spin-off about Sheldon's childhood in Texas in the 1980s along with the main show. And the audience did watch.
In the last episode of Young Sheldon, the main character goes to Caltech. One of the teachers asks him if he is lost, to which Sheldon replies: "No. I'm exactly where I'm supposed to be." You could say the same thing about the end of the show.

Young Sheldon’s seven-season-long television run is over after the show’s finale hit CBS a few weeks ago, and though The Big Bang Theory’s prequel got a relatively happy ending, it still turned out somewhat bittersweet. Many long-standing fans of the original show definitely saw it coming, but George Sr.’s tragic death in the final season’s episode 13 still shattered some hearts.
After all, Young Sheldon made it pretty clear that George had suffered a fatal heart attack, though one of the show’s actresses recently took to the social media to reveal her own version of why the series let the character go.
As fans were quick to get to the internet expressing their feelings about Young Sheldon’s finale and especially George’s death, Annie Potts also decided to step in. In the show, the actress has been portraying Mary’s mother and Sheldon’s...

While Robert Downey Jr. is known for his portrayal of Iron Man in the MCU, he also portrayed Sherlock Holmes in Guy Ritchie’s adaptation of the popular novels by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. The actor reprised his role in the 2011 sequel Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows and was also set to appear in a threequel.
Amazon Prime Video announced recently that a series based on Andy Lane’s Young Sherlock Holmes novels would be in development with Guy Ritchie directing. This follows a trend of prequels and spinoffs of popular characters where the story follows a younger version such as Dexter, Young Sheldon, Ted, and more.

8 Comedy Shows To Watch If You Loved Young Sheldon (Photo Credit – IMDb)
Though several TV series have featured intelligent children, not many have attained the same caliber as Young Sheldon. Young Sheldon, which debuted in 2017 on CBS, was a prequel to the hugely successful sitcom Big Bang Theory, focusing on the early years of Sheldon Cooper. It gave fans an explanation for why Sheldon evolved into the character he would play on Tbbt while also battling to maintain his continuity.
Even if the finale of Young Sheldon may have made many people nostalgic, there are still a lot of family comedy shows that have the same happy-go-lucky atmosphere. Nothing could quite take the place of Young Sheldon, but viewers will love these wholesome and endearing programs, from Modern Family to Atypical, which will take place in viewers’ hearts that The Big Bang Theory spin-off is leaving.

Throughout the years of its television run that ended just a couple of weeks ago, The Big Bang Theory’s prequel Young Sheldon has repeatedly proved to be somewhat ignorant of the original show’s storyline. Fans have constantly pointed out some insignificant or even quite big inconsistencies that Young Sheldon demonstrated with seemingly no notice from its creators.
Now that the prequel’s story is over and all the major plot holes got a pretty decent explanation in the finale, one particular detail from Sheldon’s life still seems like a mystery to be resolved. Luckily, The Big Bang Theory fans already did it.
In the original show, not so many details about Sheldon Cooper’s previous life in Texas emerge, though fans still caught some little pieces of information that would later add to everything we saw in Young Sheldon. The Big Bang Theory once stated that Sheldon...

Though The Big Bang Theory’s long-standing fans definitely saw it coming, George’s death in Young Sheldon’s final season still hit everyone hard. Season 7 episode 13, titled Funeral, captures every member of George’s family gathering in a church to say the last goodbye to the Coopers’ patriarch.
The sequence features all the main characters and some guests, including one lady looking suspiciously resembling George, though it’s still not what the show’s fans might have thought. With everyone in the church mourning the deceased character, only one person seems to be missing, and this is what makes George’s storyline even more heartbreaking.

Even though The Big Bang Theory fans have already been proven wrong about the show's spinoff by the explosive success of Young Sheldon, there are still some people who are unsure if the show needs another spinoff. However, the main reason for doubt has nothing to do with the main characters.
Though everyone loves Montana Jordan as Georgie Cooper, and the idea of a spinoff focusing on his journey to build his tire empire has been cultivated by fans for years, people don't think the spinoff will be successful without the entire Cooper family in it. While it has been previously reported that only Mandy's parents will appear, that can easily be changed.

It’s no secret that Young Sheldon enjoys weaving clever references to The Big Bang Theory. However, one particular line delivered by Sheldon in the series finale has sparked wild theories among fans. Specifically, Sheldon mentions that they perhaps shouldn’t have let Penny babysit, leading some viewers to jump to conclusions regarding Leonard’s fate. Why Leonard Doesn’t Need to be Dead The most straightforward interpretation of the line doesn’t require Leonard’s death at all. There are countless reasons why Penny might have been referenced without Leonard being mentioned. For instance, Leonard could simply have been unavailable at the time, busy with...

Young Sheldon’s final season that ended its run earlier in May turned out to be a whole emotional rollercoaster for both characters and viewers. Though The Big Bang Theory’s long-standing fans have always seen it coming, the death of Sheldon’s father George in the 12th episode titled A New Home and a Traditional Texas Torture still surely shattered a couple of hearts.

Even the TV shows that ended years ago can still bring joy to many people. Those fans who watched the entire show episode after episode can find a lot of comfort in rewatching it and feeding off the sense of nostalgia that comes with it. This is definitely the case for fans of The Big Bang Theory.
Although the show was good overall, there were some episodes throughout its 12-season run that hit harder than others. And if you are looking for comfort, the best episodes to re-watch are the 10 listed below.
The Work Song Nanocluster (S2E18)
Any time Sheldon is under the influence of any substance, whether it's alcohol or simple caffeine, it's always a blast to watch. Poor Penny and her business, on the other hand, weren't expecting such a strong Sheldon presence, which makes their interactions that much funnier than usual. Still, they made a great team!

If there's one character whose future after young Sheldon is the most intriguing, it's the eldest Cooper son, Georgie. Though he's currently married to Mandy, raising their beautiful daughter, and ready to move on to the next chapter of their lives in a spinoff, the happiness won't last.
The show about Mandy and Georgie is called "First Marriage" for a reason: According to The Big Bang Theory, Georgie was married at least twice, and both times to different people, as both of his wives congratulated Sheldon on his Nobel Prize. So what happens to Mandy and Georgie? And who is his second wife?

Young Sheldon came to its definite end around two weeks ago, giving viewers a double finale featuring both versions of the titular character.
While Sheldon Cooper’s younger version was shown saying goodbye to his teen years and stepping into adult life, his more mature self, portrayed by The Big Bang Theory star Jim Parsons, also proved that he’d been in a much better position in life ever since the original show left all the characters back in 2019.
Though it surely was a great satisfaction for The Big Bang Theory’s fans to see adult Sheldon with such a big update, another major character from the original series doesn’t appear to be that happy.

Creating a spinoff of a spinoff has to be a testament to the success of the original series. Although Georgie and Mandy's First Marriage is by far the most distant show from The Big Bang Theory, it still coexists in the same universe, and fans expect the few connections and events mentioned in the show to be maintained.
Those unfamiliar with The Big Bang Theory may be confused by the show's title. While people expected the spinoff to revolve around Georgie and Mandy, the wording of the title makes it seem as if the couple will eventually break up.

Some actors are just born to play specific roles and seeing them portray a range of different characters not only looks startling but appalling. Seeing Jim Parsons playing a role other than Sheldon Cooper from The Big Bang Theory gives a similar feeling. It isn’t that he has been typecast or put into a box, but seeing how perfectly the actor essayed the role of the genius physicist, it is hard to imagine him as anyone other than Sheldon.

One of the best things about well-done sitcoms is the fact that you never get tired of rewatching them, even if the show is 12 seasons long. For example, we can’t imagine saying “enough” when it comes to The Big Bang Theory, because every time you binge the show you laugh like it’s your first time and cringe as well.
The Big Bang Theory is an ensemble cast show with many main characters. And while we care deeply for them, the huge number of side characters also hold a special place in our hearts.
Some of these characters we hate, but some of them we wish had stuck around a little longer. The case for the second point is Leonard's short-term girlfriend Stephanie.

As Young Sheldon fans expected, George Cooper died in the penultimate episode of the CBS comedy that wrapped for good on May 16.
What they didn’t expect was that Lance Barber, who’s played Sheldon’s lovable pop George, would appear twice at his character’s own funeral: first as a corpse in the coffin and second, as a grieving woman inside the chapel.
A spokesperson for the comedy confirmed what eagle eye fans had already noticed: that was, indeed, Barber rocking a silver wig, off-white glasses and a wine-colored dress in the otherwise somber scene. It was a blink-and-you’ll-miss it appearance; Barber appeared in the back of the chapel while Georgie (Montana Jordan) was delivering his eulogy.
The spokesperson for the show told Deadline that Barber “surprised everyone and showed up like that.”

The prequel that had a 7-season-long run recounting Sheldon’s earlier years in Texas before he moved to California reintroduced Jim Parsons as the beloved character’s adult version, proving that he’s already far from being the same Sheldon fans have always known.
While Young Sheldon’s ending made it quite clear that Sheldon’s TV story is officially over now, fans couldn’t help but notice some big changes in the character’s appearance. As it turns out now, Sheldon owes such an upgrade to The Big Bang Theory’s long-standing fans.
In Young Sheldon’s finale, the character’s adult version is somehow not what fans ever expected to see. Apart from the fact that Jim Parsons’ Sheldon now intentionally looks older (it’s quite...

Remember when HBO licensed those originals to Netflix last year?
Well, it’s finally time to see if the move paid off for Netflix, as the streamer just released another round of data that encapsulates all viewing on the platform from July to December 2023. That includes shows like Insecure, Band of Brothers, The Pacific and the rest of the HBO originals that landed on Netflix last July.
So, how did they do?
It looks like Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson was the star of the show, as Ballers tallied 33.5M views across all five seasons — by far the highest of the bunch. Season 1 came in No. 139 on the overall list with just under 11M views alone. Considering the list includes thousands of titles, that’s pretty good.

Insecure generated the second-highest total of 14.4M views.

Seeing Jim Parsons return as the adult version of the eccentric genius Sheldon Cooper has kind of opened fans up to the idea of whether there could be a follow-up to ‘ Big Bang Theory.’
Jim Parsons is here with the answers to the questions we’ve been asking.
Jim Parsons Would “Never Say Never” To A ‘Big Bang Theory’ Sequel, But He Wouldn’t Want Us To Hold Our Breaths For It Either
For 12 fantastic seasons, we watched Parsons portray one of our favorite characters on the comedy show, Sheldon Cooper – the genius who’s managed to outpace the rest of humanity in terms of mental capacity and yet holds such high regards to the fictional ‘Star Wars’ character Leonard Spock.
Since the ‘Big Bang Theory’ ended, Parsons has continued to keep the spirit of his beloved character alive by voicing him on the prequel series ‘Young Sheldon.’ To round up ‘Young Sheldon,...

The Big Bang Theory’s prequel Young Sheldon is now officially over after seven seasons of exploring Sheldon Cooper’s earlier years in Texas, and fans are probably still not over that sweet reunion that everyone was expecting to see in the finale. The show got Sheldon’s original actor Jim Parsons back to the screen, proving that he’s in a good place in life, finishing his own memoir that the character has been narrating all along.
With all the benefits that the decision to conclude the series in this way eventually brought, Parsons himself initially didn’t see that much of a potential for such an ending, but his change of mind actually righted all the wrongs the show has ever had.
Prior to the release of Young Sheldon’s final episode that aired on May 16, the actor revealed that he’d had second thoughts about reprising his role in the ending scene.

“God has blessed me with a beautiful babygirl. Emma Rae Jordan, Momma and Daddy love you. Forever and always,” he wrote alongside a photo of himself cradling the little one.
Jordan portrayed Sheldon Cooper’s older brother Georgie Cooper on The Big Bang Theory prequel series. In season 6, Georgie, 17, and his girlfriend Mandy welcomed a baby named Constance.

Just like people were skeptical about Young Sheldon back in 2017 when the show had just premiered, they are now skeptical about another spinoff to extend the same universe. Georgie and Mandy’s First Marriage has only gotten its official title, but people are ready to dismiss it months before it airs.
The reason for such an intense reaction may seem to be obvious, as people waved goodbye to Young Sheldon less than a week ago and still aren’t over it. However, there is more to fans disappointment than a bittersweet finale of their favorite sitcom.
What Is the New Young Sheldon Spinoff About?
The new spinoff will continue roughly in the timeline where Young Sheldon ends. Whether the showrunners decide to do a time jump to give the characters a moment to mourn the loss of George Cooper Sr. or pick up exactly where Young Sheldon left off is unknown,...

Originally created as a prequel to The Big Bang Theory, Young Sheldon has since moved from focusing on the character of Sheldon to capturing the lives of the members of the Cooper family and the people around them.
The show, which has grown to be far more meaningful than expected, has tackled many issues, including the importance of having a reliable support system in your family to face the trials of the outside world. Sheldon's young rival Paige was the perfect foil to underscore this message, but was dumped and never brought back.
What Happened to Paige in Young Sheldon?
Paige started out as a very strong character, a prodigy, just like Sheldon. However, unlike the title character, she is also in touch with her emotional side and knows how to attract people. Her personality multiplied by the strength of her mind painted a bright future for her, but as the show progressed,...

Last month surely wasn’t the best time for CBS, with the network receiving backlash after canceling several successful shows at once. The list of unfortunate series that were unfairly scrapped included one of the NCIS franchise’s spinoffs NCIS: Hawai’i, and fans were left bewildered by such a harsh decision as literally nobody, including the cast, had seen it coming.
The show lovers’ own investigations proved that the spinoff wasn’t that unprofitable for CBS as its ratings were pretty much decent, but now it seems like the network’s other show and its raving success may be the most solid reason for the cancellation.
At least TV Insider writer Matt Roush’s article suggests so. According to him, the hit status of Young Sheldon, a prequel for CBS’ famous sitcom The Big Bang Theory which recounts Sheldon Cooper’s earlier years in Texas, may have been the final...

The Big Bang Theory is without doubt one of the most iconic ensemble cast series ever created. All the main characters of the nerd-centric comedy are relatable and at the same time quirky as hell. All the storylines explored in the series are either strange and really cringey, or sweet and meaningful. And that’s what makes it brilliant.
The main characters of the series are Howard, Leonard, Sheldon, Raj, and Penny. Later some of the new characters were added to the permanent cast and characters like Amy, Bernadette and Stuart appeared a lot more on the screen.
The most interesting thing though is about Stuart. The actor Kevin Sussman first auditioned for the role of Howard, but ended up being a looner named Stuart whose gig was to be miserable. However, in the episode called The Hofstadter Isotope he successfully hit on Penny and ended up dating her for a moment.

An FBI arc that kicked off with this season’s premiere comes to an intense climax in Tuesday night’s finale — and in doing so, it puts Special Agent Tiffany Wallace (played by Katherine Renee Kane) in quite a moral predicament.
Season 6 opened with FBI agent Trevor Hobbs (Roshawn Franklin) being killed while working undercover with Tiffany, a death for which Agent Wallace felt some blame. That tragedy was revisited six weeks ago, when Tiffany grew convinced that the terrorist who killed Hobbs — Hakim Siran (returning guest star Antwayn Hopper) — was back in the States.

Young Sheldon, the spin-off prequel series centered around the childhood of The Big Bang Theory character Sheldon Cooper, has recently concluded with 7 successful seasons. It explored the iconic Tbbt character’s past and shed light on several events that were hinted at in the main show.

However, most of the fans were shocked to realize that Dr. Sturgis was not even mentioned in Tbbt’s finale even after playing a key role in shaping Sheldon Cooper’s celebrated career.
