Saying goodbye to a series you grew up on, literally, isn’t easy. For Mackenzie Aladjem, who has played Fiona Peyton since she was 8, it was more than just the Nurse Jackie series finale that brought out the emotions, it was watching her house get ripped down and saying goodbye to her TV mom (Edie Falco), her TV sister Grace (Ruby Jerins) and the rest of the cast. The series finale is June 28 at 9pmET on Showtime. “Before the last day, I actually watched them tear down my house and start taking apart the picture frames and everything,” Mackie … Continue reading →

Two years ago, Merritt Wever pulled off a big upset when she won Comedy Supporting Actress for her role as Zoey Barkow, friend and colleague to Edie Falco's character on "Nurse Jackie," over such favorites as Julie Bowen ("Modern Family") and Jane Krakowski ("30 Rock"). With the Showtime series ending this year, Wever has an episode that could easily win her trophy number two. -Break- Discuss 'Nurse Jackie' in our fun forums In "Serviam in Caritate," Zoey receives a phone call from Jackie's daughter Grace (Ruby Jerins) who is stuck at a rest stop in Pennsylvania. Panicking over her daughter's safety, Jackie sets out to get her daughter with Zoey who is stressed out about driving on the highway. She is barely going the speed limit when she learns that Jackie is secretly engaged to the hospital's former pharmacist, Eddie (Paul Schulze). Upon arriving at the res...

Nurse Jackie recap Season 7, Episode 8 “Managed Care” (original airdate May 31, 2015) We start with a little mommy/daughter one-on-one time with Grace (Ruby Jerins) and Jackie (Edie Falco) shopping. Grace can’t pick between two outfits. Jackie suggests she gets them both. Grace knows all too well, and reminds she doesn’t have money for that. Plus, she usually only buys her things when she feels guilty. Neither is the situation this time, so Jackie springs it on her. “I’m getting married to Eddie.” Grace ain’t digging that idea. When Jackie tries to defend Eddie as a good man, Grace digs … Continue reading →

Showtime’s “Nurse Jackie” was headed for a fiery ending — literally — at the conclusion of its seventh and final season, Executive Producer Clyde Phillips told reporters Monday at the Television Critics Association Winter Press Tour in Pasadena.
“We were going to burn the hospital down,” Phillips revealed, after teasing that he and the writing staff completely changed their minds before the season began shooting.
“Nurse Jackie” is set in a New York City medical center.

"Nurse Jackie" finished off a wildly uneven Season 5 with an inevitable ending: Jackie fell off the wagon and started using again, at the exact time her friends and family were celebrating her year of sobriety.
We knew this was coming ever since last season, when Jackie (Edie Falco) bolted out of rehab before finishing the program. There's also the fact that this show is designed to track the trials and tribulations of an addict -- something that's a lot harder to do with a sober lead. What's disappointing is that Season 5 never did much to raise the stakes for that moment.
Maybe Jackie's perfunctory relapse will help straighten out the show, which struggled to find its way after the unprecedented highs of Season 4. A big shift behind-the-scenes -- creators and former showrunners Liz Brixius and Linda Wallem departed their roles and "Dexter" producer Clyde Phillips stepped in -- led to...

Showtime’s resident Rn played by Edie Falco won’t be seeking unemployment benefits anytime soon. This just in, Nurse Jackie has been renewed for a season 6. The cast of the critically acclaimed series can break out the bubbly to celebrate.
If you are counting down, we are about nine days away from Nurse Jackie‘s season 5 finale, which happens on June 16th and has the title “Soul”. Doesn’t that sound alluring? Soak it up, because season 6 won’t launch until 2014.
Did you know the Showtime series was a co-production between the network and Lionsgate? It is. We like out Showtime characters nice and flawed and Edie Falco’s Emmy-winning character Jackie Peyton is definitely that. Clyde Phillips took over as showrunner following Season 4, and he will stick around for season 6, as will his fellow executive producers Caryn Mandabach, Richie Jackson and Tom Straw.

A trio of outstanding performances highlighted this episode of Nurse Jackie.
I gave up expecting any storyline development on this show awhile ago, mostly watching it these days for the humor of Zoey and Coop. But their one-liners weren't the reason "Fuck The Lemurs" was probably my favorite installment of the season.
Instead, all credit goes to Edie Falco, Eve Best and Ruby Jerins.
The Emmy-winning former Sopranos star has been fantastic in this role since the series premiere, of course, but she displayed an especially vulnerable side this week. It's grown pretty easy to dislike Jackie over the past few episodes, as she lies to friends, continues to pop pills and displays few redeeming qualities all around.
But it took a crisis at home and at the hospital for her to finally break.
Falco reminded us that she's playing a legitimately troubled woman when she struggled to deal with Grace's anxiety,...

Is Remember Me your favorite of Robert Pattinson's movies to-date?
Well, according to a recent People's Choice poll, it is for 36% of voters, just above The Twilight Saga: Eclipse (33%). Twilight got 23% of the vote, while The Twilight Saga: New Moon only came in with 5% (In all fairness to New Moon, it had the fewest scenes involving Pattinson of the three Twilight films).
Remember Me was released in March of this year, and it featured Pattinson as the main character, "Tyler Hawkins." Others appearing in the film included Lost star Emilie de Ravin, Pierce Brosnan, Chris Cooper, and Nurse Jackie star Ruby Jerins.

Somewhere in between Twilight: New Moon and Twilight: Eclipse, Robert Pattinson managed to find time to make another movie for E1 Entertainment called Remember Me. The cast is pretty strong and includes Pierce Brosnan, Emilie de Ravin, Ruby Jerins and the awesome Chris Cooper with Allen Coulter directing.
Synopsis: Remember Me features a talented and critically acclaimed cast including Robert Pattinson in his first major role outside The Twilight Saga, alongside Australian actress Emilie de Ravin, best known for her role in award-winning ABC series Lost. Taking on parental responsibilities are Golden Globe nominee Pierce Brosnan (currently starring in The Ghost), Academy Award® winner Chris Cooper (Adaption) and Academy Award® nominee Lena Olin (Chocolat). The film also stars Tate Ellington (The Shape of Things) and introduces Ruby Jerins in a delightful debut performance.
It’s hard to review a film like this when I am most definitely not the target audience for it.

Robert Pattinson of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse (2010) took a break from filming the Twilight (2008) franchise to film Remember Me (2010) in New York City. The dark film follows the hardships a young man goes through while trying to find his place in the world. Tyler Hawkins (Robert Pattinson) is floundering through life, his relationship with his father Charles (Pierce Brosnan) is dysfunctional, and his only saving grace is his younger sister Caroline (Ruby Jerins). Remember Me (2010) follows Tyler as he grieves over the loss of his brother and meets a young co-ed named Ally Craig (Emilie de Ravin) who is dealing with her own grief. As they begin to fall in love, a wonderful romance story flourishes as the characters find redemption in each other. Set in New York City, the film is true to life including the small somewhat mis-matched apartment where Tyler lives. So, will Tyler be able to...

Don’t forget that Robert Pattinson’s movie Remember Me comes out on DVD and Blu-ray today (June 22).
Rebel Without a Cause meets Ordinary People in postmillennial Manhattan, resulting in Hollywoodland director Allen Coulter’s Remember Me. Twilight’s tousle-haired Robert Pattinson plays Tyler, a chain-smoking New York University student with a substantial chip on his shoulder. Drifting through life devoid of ambition, he lost his older brother to suicide, his parents are divorced, and his father, Charles (Pierce Brosnan), spends more time in the boardroom than with his kids (Lena Olin plays Tyler’s mother). Tyler takes refuge in his friendships with wisecracking roommate Aidan (Tate Ellington) and artistic younger sister Caroline (Ruby Jerins). One night, he and Aidan enter a scuffle outside a club, and Sergeant Craig (Chris Cooper) takes him in for mouthing off, even though he was trying to break things up. When Aidan discovers that...

I know what you’re thinking. You’re looking at Remember Me and thinking “oh great, another chick flick starring that dude from Twilight” or “jeez, another sappy romance flick with that chick from Lost”. You may want to think again. Remember Me does star that chick from Lost (Emilie de Ravin) and that dude from Twilight (Robert Pattinson) but it is in no way a chick flick or sappy romance. Remember Me is a hard-hitting drama that deals with real issues and isn’t afraid to tackle tough topics. The question is, is the film one that you’ll soon forget or is Remember Me a film that will stay with you for a while?

Our Robert Pattinson-Remember Me review snippets have been quite popular, so here are a few more. We’ll be adding a handful more later this evening. The ones below are from British publications. Remember Me opened in the UK last weekend. In addition to Robert Pattinson, the romantic drama stars Emilie de Ravin (photo), Pierce Brosnan, Chris Cooper, Lena Olin, Ruby Jerins, and Tate Ellington. Allen Coulter directed from a screenplay by Will Fetters. "As a test for the Pattster’s James Dean credentials, it’s watchable but unpersuasive: for all his railing against stuffy Dad (Pierce Brosnan), we never quite twig what Tyler’s problem is." Tim Robey in The Telegraph. "As a study of the pains of adolescence, it’s not exactly Rebel Without A Cause, [...]...

The DVD release date for Robert Pattinson's Remember Me has been revealed to be June 22nd of this year!
The film was released to U.S. theaters on March 12th, 2010, and it has brought in a little over $17.6 million domestically (around $23 million worldwide).
Remember Me is not Robert Pattinson's first lead role (not by a long-shot), as he has portrayed the main character in films like How To Be, Little Ashes, and The Haunted Airman before. It is, however, the first non-Twilight film he's done since becoming a globally household name.
Pattinson is currently filming Bel Ami, his second such film, in Europe.

Johnny Depp, Mia Wasikowska, Anne Hathaway in Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland (top); Jennifer Aniston, Gerard Butler in Andy Tennant’s The Bounty Hunter (middle); Robert Pattinson, Ruby Jerins in Allen Coulter’s Remember Me (bottom) Alice in Wonderland earned $2.76 million at the domestic box office on Monday, according to Box Office Mojo. Tim Burton’s 3D fantasy adventure starring Mia Wasikowska, Johnny Depp, and Helena Bonham Carter remains the #1 movie on the chart, though the gap separating it from the #2 movie doesn’t seem all that wide now. The Jennifer Aniston-Gerard Butler romantic comedy The Bounty Hunter took in $1.44m, securing the #2 spot now that kids are back in school. Robert Pattinson discusses the making of Allen Coulter’s Remember Me in three podcasts available for free at iTunes. These have been out for some time, but those who have recently watched Remember Me might want to check it out. The podcasts are divided into three parts. In the first one, Pattinson talks with the filmmakers about his on-set chemistry with Emilie de Ravin, who plays his on-screen girlfriend, and Ruby Jerins, who plays his sister. In part 2, Pattinson and the filmmakers discuss Pattinson’s character, Tyler Hawkins. Tyler is a rebellious young New Yorker at odds with his wealthy father (Pierce Brosnan) following the suicide of his brother. In part 3, Pattinson and the filmmakers discuss the genesis of the screenplay, [...]...

Jackie’s in way over her head in season two!
Hey, BFFs! We hope you’re all caught up on Nurse Jackie, because it’s coming back at 10 p.m. tonight on Showtime — and trust us, you won’t want to miss it. If you remember, last May’s season finale left Jackie (Edie Falco) laying on the hospital floor in a drug-induced state, and while tonight’s premiere doesn’t pick up exactly where the finale left off, it does set up plenty of new troubles for our favorite pill-popping nurse.
For one thing, now that Jackie’s secret boyfriend Eddie (Paul Schulze) knows she has a husband, Jackie is really on edge. Trust us — you’ll be feeling her anxiety right through the TV screen when she first sees Eddie in tonight’s premiere. And as daughter Grace’s (Ruby Jerins) own anxiety issues become...

Part three arrives and it comes with 20 more films to keep an eye on this year as potential Oscar candidates. If you missed parts one and two, the links for both of those can be found on the bottom of page two of this post.
With today's list of films it brings the total previewed thus far to 60 early Oscar contending films and already one reader has sent in a potential new candidate I am looking into further to see if the list again will grow from it's current total of 73 films to 74 and what may amount to a fifth film for Helen Mirren. With no films this year for Meryl Streep, it looks like Mirren is stacking the deck.
I will again remind you, this is merely a guide to potential nominees, not a guarantee, not a lock, but simply films that could potentially go on to be remembered at the year-end Oscar race.

Robert Pattinson in Remember Me
Photo: Summit Entertainment Note: This interview contains story details that will spoil the ending of Remember Me. If you have not seen it yet, not only do I urge you to head to the theater, but you also may want to skip reading this interview until you have.
Anyone that read my review of Remember Me already knows I enjoyed it, and was one of the select few. In fact, I have strong opinions of the film, not from the perspective of how great the acting is or whether director Allen Coulter turned in a tour de force bit of filmmaking navigation, but merely at the idea behind the film and its intentions. However, it's intentions, it seems, have been largely lost on the critical community.
Remember Me has been painted as a romance story by the majority, but is it? I saw it as something entirely different.

Forget what you think you know about this movie. And forget what you think you know about Robert Pattinson. This film is far more than a love story. Plus, Pattinson’s acting abilities are better than the one particular role he’s known for playing.
Go into this movie with an open mind, and what you’ll find is an engaging film that is simultaneously heartbreaking and heartwarming. The story and actors swirl together like a perfect cup of coffee with just the right amount of cream and sugar. The subtle sweetness cuts the underlying bitterness. And, in fact, that’s exactly the word I would use to describe Remember Me – bittersweet…read more [Killer Film]
Disaffected twentysomething Tyler (Robert Pattinson) is still coping with the aftershocks of his older brother’s suicide several years earlier. His parents (Pierce Brosnan and Lena Olin) are separated and his younger sister (Ruby Jerins) is an outcast at school.

Remember Me was released in the Us this weekend. Since it’s not released in the UK until April 2nd, I’ll keep it as spoiler free as possible. The general gap in release dates is actually discussed in another post that you can find here. Now, on to the review.
Remember Me tells the story of Tyler (Robert Pattinson) and Ally (Emilie de Ravine) as two twenty something college students, both rocked by individual family tragedies and both fighting their own personal demons.
Toward the beginning of the film, Tyler ends up getting arrested and the arresting officer happens to be Ally’s father, Sgt. Neil Craig (Chris Cooper). Encouraged by his best friend, Tyler initiates a relationship with Ally as a way of “getting back” at her father.
Tyler, of course, has issues of his own. He’s floating through life, not really focused on anything. The only...

Title: Remember Me Directed By: Allen Coulter Starring: Robert Pattinson, Emilie de Ravin, Pierce Brosnan, Chris Cooper, Lena Olin, Ruby Jerins, Tate Ellington We can’t expect every movie to be good, but there’s nothing worse than walking out of a theater downright angry. Overall, Remember Me is rather boring, but manages to squeeze in a few powerful moments making it worthwhile. But when a real life tragedy is used as a last ditch effort to evoke emotion, Remember Me transforms into something you’ll be eager to forget. Edward Cullen, er - Robert Pattinson leads as Tyler, an Nyu student who’s undecided - about everything. He adores his young sister, Caroline (Ruby Jerins), but struggles [...]...

Robert Pattinson's 'Remember Me' is hit & miss. Summit Entertainment has released their new drama "Remember Me" and top film critics in the industry gave the movie mixed reviews.
Robert Pattinson headlines the picture and just about everybody should know by now that he's also the star of Summit Entertainment's popular vampire series "Twilight" in which he plays a vampire named Edward Cullen.
In addition, the film also stars Emilie de Ravin, Chris Cooper, Lena Olin, Tate Ellington, Ruby Jerins and Pierce Brosnan.
Wesley Morris over at The Boston Globe was pretty hard on the movie giving it a sour grade of a D-. He said, "the movie crassly repurposes tragedy to excuse its cliches." Meanwhile, Roger Ebert over at the Chicago-Sun Tribune gave the film a B grade. Go figure.

Remember Me is a film that's shot through with the pain of death, from a brutal opening segment that could be dropped wholesale into a 1970's era Charles Bronson flick, to its characters who dwell on losses from which they'll never recover. "We leave fingerprints on everyone we touch," says hunky-broody Tyler Hawkins (Twilight's Robert Pattinson), underscoring an overarching theme that death reverberates through the lives of those who are left behind.
Positioned as a Nicholas Sparks-style tearjerker and starring two current pop-culture faces -- sparkly vamp Pattinson's love interest is Emilie de Ravin of TV's Lost -- it comes as a surprise to find that Remember Me is literate, sensitive, often quite funny, and altogether engaging, despite its formulaic underpinnings. Pattinson is very good as the Rebel with Little Real Cause, burning with daddy issues thanks to his older brother's suicide and a father (Pierce Brosnan) who's distanced...

By Susan Granger - Astute minds are guiding Robert Pattinson.s career. Segueing from his vampire role in the "Twilight" franchise, he.s transitioned into tortured, misunderstood young man mode.
In the summer of 2001, moody, rebellious Tyler Hawkins (Pattinson) is still haunted by the fact that his idolized older brother committed suicide on his 22nd birthday, a tragedy that split his wealthy Park Avenue family. While Tyler has reached an understanding with his now re-married mother, Diane Hirsch (Lena Olin), and adores his 11 year-old sister Caroline (Ruby Jerins), he.s still at odds with his frosty, Wall Street lawyer father, Charles Hawkins (Pierce Brosnan). In fact, 21 year-old Tyler.s only friend seems to be his loud, obnoxious, thoroughly irritating roommate, Aiden (Tate Ellington).

Remember Me
Directed by: Allen Coulter
Cast: Robert Pattinson, Emilie de Ravin, Pierce Brosnan, Chris Cooper
Running Time: 1 hr 53 mins
Rating: PG-13
Release Date: March 12, 2010
Plot: Years after the death of his older brother, Tyler Hawkins (Pattinson) has lost all motivation to actively participate in his own life. One night, Tyler is arrested for a bar fight by Sgt. Neil Craig (Cooper) and in order to get back at the cop, Tyler decides to romance Craig’s daughter, Ally (Ravin). That summation is as close as I can come to encapsulating this movie, which is surprisingly complex.
Who’S It For? Of course all those RPatz freaks out there will flock to see the movie just to reaffirm what they already knew: he can actually act outside of Twilight. But Remember Me is so artistic in its graceful melancholy, that the film should also appeal to “serious” film connoisseurs.
Expectations: Looowwwwww.

Chicago – The hottest actor of the moment, smoldering Robert Pattinson, gets the opportunity to ditch the “Twilight” fangs and sink his teeth into a drama about New York City and the splintering factions of family in “Remember Me.”
Rating: 2.5/5.0
Pattinson portrays Tyler, an aimless New York City college student who is estranged from his wealthy yet distant father (Pierce Brosnan). He maintains a relationship with his 11-year old sister Caroline (Ruby Jerins), mother (Lena Olin) and dead brother Michael. The journals that he keeps are letters to that brother, who committed suicide in 1995. The family gathers every year on the anniversary of that tragedy, and the story is centered around the sixth one in 2001.
Tyler’s raging anger toward the overall situation manifests itself in inappropriate ways. After intervening in a street fight, he is arrested by the attending cop Sgt. Craig (Chris Cooper), who is about to become connected...

Robert Pattinson’s face has been so associated with the schmaltzy popular teen vampire hysteria known as Twilight, that many have wondered if the young actor could possibly do anything else than look so forlorn. Could he possibly act? Would Pattinson be able to do anything more than be in a perpetual state of need of a bucket of Prozac and look like, Omg, so pained and stuff? The answer may lie in Allen Coulter’s over-the-top drama Remember Me (Hollywoodland). Or it might just be more of the same.
Pattinson plays Tyler Hawkins, a 21-year-old kinda’, sorta’ student at Nyu who is awkwardness personified. Fidgety, always uneasy and a lover of the written word, this glum introvert spends his time working in a campus bookstore and arranging novels based on authors deaths and infidelities along with drinking with his party-animal buddy and roommate Aidan (Tate Ellington).

Tyler Hawkins (Robert Pattinson) is a screw up to his father (Pierce Brosnan) . He is in college but only to audit classes, he drinks too much, and he has a huge chip on his shoulder. It’s not as if he doesn’t care about anything though. He is incredibly protective of his younger sister, who gets picked on at school for being a bit odd. The two have a very strong bong, especially after the suicide of their eldest brother.
Tyler stands up for what is right, no matter the cost. One night, while out drinking with his best friend, he jumps into a fight to defend a stranger. When the police arrest the innocent man, Tyler speaks up and not only does he get arrested, he gets assaulted by the cop (Chris Cooper). To get back at the cop without getting into more legal trouble, Tyler’s best...
