Let's admit it; saying goodbye is hard.
But it's even worse when you don't get an ending that offers closure for characters you've come to know.
Sadly, we said goodbye to plenty of shows in 2022, and many didn't get the chance to have a proper series finale.
But there is good news, and the TV Fanatic staff has rounded up the shows that ended with a conclusive series finale.
Check out our thoughts below.
Animal Kingdom (TNT)
Whether you loved it or loathed it, Animal Kingdom went out the same way the Cody boys lived their lives: on its own terms.
The final season delivered some incredible performances from the cast as the season revealed the original sin that changed everything.
While it's still debated whether or not it was the perfect ending for this series, the finality of it and the intent to wrap up the journey in an authentic way is abundantly clear.

It was little surprise that developments worked out poorly for the fugitive witches.
The big question remaining at the end of Motherland: Fort Salem Season 3 Episode 3 was whether they were better or worse off than before.
The problem has been that the Bellweather Trio, especially the two Tarim, weren't prepared for life on the run.
Raelle at least was aware of the Dodger culture in The Cession. But since Mycelium Mom Willa was treating her condition, Raelle was unavailable to offer her perspective.
Scylla was forced to take the lead because Nicte's first instinct always was to attack, which is not a great strategy when you're outgunned in foreign territory. Nor when you have a missing, young team member.
There was no choice but to split up, with Scylla and Nicte distracting the marshals so the others could search for Khalida.
They could have stayed together, but Scylla didn't have...

The witches of Motherland: Fort Salem have seen better days.
Freeform’s supernatural drama returned for its final season on Tuesday with its motley crew of magical fugitives still on the run from Vice President Silver, Alban Hearst and a host of other nefarious characters. When we reunited with the runaways, they were posing as midwest paper distributors, some more convincingly than others. Raelle and Scylla, for example, were content to lay low and daydream of a simple life somewhere, while Tally and Nicte insisted on partaking in rooftop training sessions, which ultimately exposed the group and forced everyone to relocate.
