It's fair to say that after 20 years and over 50 film appearances, Mimi Rogers should be praised for her variety of roles and acting capabilities, not for a brief marriage to a Hollywood star. In the early 1980s she began to carve a niche for herself in Hollywood, appearing on television and in films. It was her role in Someone to Watch Over Me (1987) that got her noticed and was her springboard to stardom. Cemented by a marriage to Tom Cruise, an already established young actor, Mimi went on to appear in Hider in the House (1989), Desperate Hours (1990), and The Doors (1991). She appeared in a controversial movie analyzing religion in America, The Rapture (1991), which proved a hit and delighted audiences, creating many a debate over the film's subject material. She played a bored telephone exchange operator who swaps a sinful life of sex and swinging with other couples for a devout religious one, ending unexpectedly in disaster. Despite her successes, few meaty, interesting roles came her way in the '90s. Shooting Elizabeth (1992), opposite Jeff Goldblum, the family movie Monkey Trouble (1994), Far from Home: The Adventures of Yellow Dog (1995), and Full Body Massage (1995) were just a few of the films that she appeared in. Working consistently, she rejuvenated her career in the unexpected hit Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery (1997), playing Miss Kensington, an attractive female agent of 1960s London and the mother of Elizabeth Hurley's character. Next, Mimi was seen in the big-screen remake of the '60s sci-fi TV series Lost in Space (1998) and several guest appearances on the hugely popular television series The X-Files (1993), playing a scheming FBI agent. A role in the Canadian indie-horror Ginger Snaps (2000) did her career no harm. Soon, she was opposite Geena Davis in The Geena Davis Show (2000) from 2000-01 and playing an extremely rich Manhattan socialite in the direct-to-video Cruel Intentions 2 (2000).
More recently Mimi has appeared on cable television, including leading roles in Charms for the Easy Life (2002) (which she also executive produced) and Cave In (2003) (a true-life disaster drama in which she played the Chief Superintendent of a mine). In 2004, she gave a revealing performance in The Door in the Floor (2004), a critical success. The Loop (2006), a Chicago-based sitcom, will soon be airing in America, featuring Mimi as a flirtatious office worker. Also in 2006, Mimi will be appearing in an original horror film, Penny Dreadful (2006), playing a psychiatrist in peril. In 2003, she married her longtime boyfriend Chris Ciaffa, with whom she has a son and a daughter. A poker novice, Mimi also travels around competing in tournaments, some televised.- Actress

Gail Edwards was born and raised in Coral Gables, Florida. In 1975, after graduating from the University of Miami cum laude, Gail Edwards wrote, produced, and starred in the off-Broadway musical 'Becoming'. It won the Miami Herald Critics' Choice award three times before debuting in New York. While in New York, Edwards signed with the LeMond/Zetter Management Group. Soon afterward, she landed the role of Sandy opposite Peter Gallagher in an East Coast tour of the very long-running musical 'Grease'. After producing and starring in two additional productions, 'The Good One' and 'Vanities', both earning her the Drama-Logue Critics' Award, Edwards turned her focus toward television.
Upon moving to Los Angeles in 1976, Edwards signed with the Ro Diamond Agency (later with the Gersh Agency) and immediately began landing guest-star roles on such television series as Happy Days (1974), Lou Grant (1977), M*A*S*H (1972), and Taxi (1978). In 1979, Edwards auditioned for a Witt/Thomas production, in which she landed the role of Dot Higgins on ABC's It's a Living (1980). The series ran on ABC from 1980-82, and was revived in first-run syndication from 1985-89. Edwards, along with Barrie Youngfellow, Paul Kreppel, and the late Marian Mercer, were the only four members of the It's a Living cast who lasted during the network and syndicated runs. After that show was canceled in 1982, her management was informed by the producers of Happy Days (1974) that they were offering her the role of new character K.C. Cunningham, the niece of Howard and Marion Cunningham, who was moving in with the family.
Without informing Edwards of the offer, her management declined the opportunity, reportedly stating that they did not want Edwards "playing a new character on an old show". Crystal Bernard was then hired for the part. Edwards did not learn of the incident until many years later. In 1985, Edwards and Bernard wound up as co-stars on It's a Living (1980) when it resumed production for first-run syndication. She appeared in many movies-of-the-week during the 1980s, along with numerous other guest-star appearances in such series as Benson (1979), Buffalo Bill (1983), Doogie Howser, M.D. (1989), Knight Rider (1982), Night Court (1984), and the premiere episode of Amazing Stories (1985), directed by Steven Spielberg.
In 1990, Edwards was reunited with former Happy Days (1974) producers Thomas L. Miller and Robert L. Boyett, when she was cast as divorced mother "Hilary Kozak" on the short-lived CBS sitcom The Family Man (1990). Upon that series' cancellation in mid-1991, Edwards was asked by Miller and Boyett to join the cast of their hit ABC series Full House (1987), feeling Edwards was just right for the role of "Vicky Larson", a talk show host who strikes up a relationship with Danny Tanner. Edwards made her debut late that year, when the Larson character first appeared as a substitute host on the fictional morning show "Wake Up, San Francisco". Vicky and Danny soon embarked on a long-term relationship and were engaged by the seventh season. Edwards' co-star on 'The Family Man', Scott Weinger, was also transferred over to Full House as "Steve Hale", D.J.'s high school boyfriend. During her tenure on Full House, Edwards also had a recurring guest role on NBC's Blossom (1990) as "Sharon LeMeure", the fast-talking mother of "Six LeMeure" (best-friend of the series' titular character).
Edwards concluded her roles on Full House (1987) (with Vicky and Danny breaking up) and Blossom (1990) in 1994. She retired from show business and relocated to Sedona, Arizona. Twenty-three years later, she reprised her role as "Vicky Larson" on the reboot of "Full House" titled Fuller House (2016) for a 2017 episode reasoning that "Once an actress is always an actress". Three years later, she would reprise the role again for the series finale. In 2022, she shared warm memories of working with her leading man Bob Saget to the media, upon learning of his sudden death.- Actor

Actor-turned-director Robert Drivas showed dark, brooding power and strong potential on the 60s stage, film and TV but, in the long run, did not achieve the kind of success he deserved. Born on November 21, 1935, the Coral Gables, Florida native initially studied his craft at the Universities of Chicago and Miami. He also trained at the Greek Playhouse in Athens and the Coconut Grove Playhouse in Miami. Making a potent New York debut as Ramses in the play "The Firstborn" (1958) starring Anthony Quayle as Moses and producer Katharine Cornell in the role of Bithiah, Drivas continued to be impressive on stage with "One More River" (1960), "The Wall" (1960), "The Irregular Verb to Love" (1963), "And Things That Go Bump in the Night" (1965) and "Where Has Tommy Flowers Gone?" (1971). In 1963 he won a Theatre World Award for his performance in "Mrs. Dally Has a Lover" alongside another TWA winner Estelle Parsons.
The attention he received on the theater boards eventually led to TV. Drivas showed great intensity and lasting power in episodic guest parts on such 60s crime shows as N.Y.P.D. (1967) and The Defenders (1961), and was a popular and frequent guest on The F.B.I. (1965). He also appeared as a guest star in episodes of Route 66 (1960) and 12 O'Clock High (1964). His first film appearance was long in coming but drew noticeable attention with the featured role of Loudmouth Steve in the classic prison drama, Cool Hand Luke (1967). This auspicious debut led to a couple of "generation gap" movies in which he was bumped up to co-star billing. Sharing the screen with Rod Steiger and Claire Bloom in the controversial LSD-influenced The Illustrated Man (1969), Drivas was intoxicating in his role but the film itself was deemed too "far out" and was considered a failure. Drivas was also quite impressive as the ultra-cool but idealistic son of David Janssen in Where It's At (1969). Again, the film was dismissed and Drivas did not advance. He went on to make only four more movies, all independent and/or foreign-made features and all overlooked.
Drivas turned successfully to stage directing in the 1970s, which included a number of Broadway projects. He gained progressive respect with his directing of such plays as "Bad Habits," for which he won an Obie award, the uproarious farce "The Ritz," "Legend," "Cheaters," "It Had to Be You," which starred the writing husband-and-wife team of Joseph Bologna and Renée Taylor, a revival of the musical "Little Me," and, his last, "Peg" in 1983 a short-lived reenactment of the life of songstress Peggy Lee with lyrics and book by the star herself. A few years later Drivas tragically died of AIDS-related cancer at the age of 50.- Jeanne Martin was born on 27 March 1927 in Coral Gables, Florida, USA. She was an actress, known for I Love Lucy (1951), The Dean Martin Show (1965) and The Jack Benny Program (1950). She was married to Dean Martin. She died on 24 August 2016 in Beverly Hills, California, USA.
