Swiss Actress Sunnyi Melles was born in Luxembourg, Luxembourg on October 7, 1958 as Judith Szunnyi Melles to Hungarian actress Judith Melles (née Rohonczy, +2001) and Austrian conductor Carl (Károly) Melles (+2004). She was not born a princess but later (1993) married German prince Peter Prinz zu Sayn-Wittgenstein-Sayn. Désirée Nosbusch has been a successful and internationally acclaimed actress and television host for over 30 years. Born in Luxembourg, she started her career hosting a radio show for Radio Luxembourg at the age of 12. At the age of 14 she became the first youth television host in German television history for the network ZDF. In 1981 Désirée Nosbusch had her acting debut in 'Nach Mitternacht' a feature film adaptation of the fiction novel by Irmgard Keun. Hence she was accepted at the renowned Academy of Performing Arts HB-Studios by Uta Hagen and Herbert Berghof in New York. In 1986 the Taviani Brothers cast Désirée Nosbusch in Rome for the part of Mabel in their feature film 'Good morning Babylon', co-starring Greta Scacchi and Joaquim de Almeida, which opened at the Cannes Film Festival in 1987. She has since appeared in over 60 movies internationally. Since 2018 she is starring as Cathrin Blake in the ARD-Degeto series 'The Irish Crime Story' that is set in Galway, Ireland. 2019 Désirée Nosbusch was awarded the prestigious Grimme Award for 'Best actress' for her portrayal of Christelle LeBlanc in the highly acclaimed international miniseries 'Bad Banks' directed by Christian Schwochow. In 2003 Désirée Nosbusch changed course after successfully studying directing and film production at UCLA in Los Angeles. Her short film 'Ice Cream Sunday' starring Tippi Hedren, which she wrote and directed, received the Gold Award for Best short Direction at the World Festival Houston and the Gold Award for Best Short Drama at the Fargo Film Festival. In 2023 she wrapped her directorial feature film debut, an adaptation of the play Gift/Poison by Lot Vekemans, starring Tim Roth and Trine Dyrholm.- Actress

Marianne Bourg is a Luxembourgish-French actress. She started acting at a young age at Luxembourg's National Conservatory for Drama. After high school, she attended Cours Florent while studying literature in Paris. After graduating, Marianne traveled around Asia and settled down in Cambodia where she worked in a non-profit organization in Phnom Penh. She later returned to Europe and went on to study drama at the University of Cambridge and graduated from EDHEC Business School with a Master's in Finance and Economics. Realizing very soon that her passion for acting was calling too strongly for her to pursue a career in finance, she moved to the United States to start a full-time acting career.
After completing her MFA in Acting for Film in Los Angeles in 2013, Marianne made her feature film debut in the movie Gun Woman (2014). She has also appeared in multiple TV shows, such as NCIS (2003), Sangre Negra (2016), Awkward. (2011) and Angie Tribeca (2016). In early 2015, Marianne won the award for Best Actress at CMF for her role in the movie Snake Eyes (2015). The movie was later invited to be screened at the Cannes Film Festival. In 2016, Marianne was once again invited to attend the Cannes Film Festival for the movies Happy Tree (2016) and Plaything (2016). Marianne's most recent work includes award-winning features films, The Room (2019), with Quantum of Solace (2008) actress, Olga Kurylenko, and Spanish comedy, ¡He matado a mi marido! (2018).
Early on, Marianne also dipped her toes into producing and got hooked. In 2021, she became one of the founding members of Artak Pictures, a female collective and production company. Donato Rotunno, who graduated from the Louvain-la-Neuve Institute of Broadcasting Arts (IAD) in 1992, cofounded the production company Tarantula Luxembourg in 1995, and its sister company Tarantula Belgium in 1996.
Tarantula Distribution was set up in 2011. In 2013, he teamed up with other Luxembourg producers to oversee the Filmland Studios in Kehlen, Luxembourg. EAVE graduate, Member of the European Film Academy, he is also President of the ULPA (Luxembourg Union of Audiovisual Producers) since March 2023.
« A piece of sky », by Bénédicte Liénard, which was screened in competition at the 2002 Cannes Film Festival (Un Certain Regard) was his first feature film in his career. Since then, he has produced and co-produced over 50 feature films, which regularly feature at A Festivals, such as « Private Property » by Joachim Lafosse, « A Wedding » by Stéphane Streker, « Fire Will Come » by Oliver Laxe, « Two of us » by Filippo Meneghetti, « Blanquita » by Fernando Guzzoni or « Holly » by Fien Troch.
At the same time, Donato Rotunno is pursuing a career as a documentary and fiction film director. His career as a director began with his graduation short film, « Nebbiolo Rosso », which won the best short film award at the Festival International du Film Francophone de Namur. He directed documentaries on topics that challenge Luxembourg society, such as immigration, the role of politics in society, and brought hybrid works to life that blends the world of contemporary art.
His first feature film, « In a Dark Place », won the best artistic contribution award at the Lëtzebuerger Filmpräis in 2007. His second film, « Baby(a)lone », an adaptation of the novel "Amok" by Luxembourg writer Tullio Forgiarini, was selected for numerous international festivals and represented Luxembourg at the 88th Academy Awards in the 'Best Foreign Language Film' category. His third film, « Io sto bene », starring Marie Jung, Renato Carpentieri and Sara Serraiocco, enjoyed a worldwide success and represented Luxembourg at the 94th Academy Awards.- Actress
