While many know what an incredible prankster George Clooney is, he is also an incredibly generous man. Known for his many generous feats, including giving 14 of his closest friends a million each from the paycheck of his hit film Gravity, Clooney is one of the nicest actors in the world.

In a recent interview, Oscar-winning star Viola Davis shared another instance of the Ocean Eleven star’s generosity. Talking to People, the actress shared how Clooney let her and her husband use his then-newly purchased Italian villa for their honeymoon and nearly made them cry with his kindness.

"DC's Legends of Tomorrow" is one of the best superhero shows ever made. Even nearly a decade after its premiere on CW, there's still nothing quite like it on TV and certainly nothing that's as willing to break every rule if it means having a cool idea the way this superhero show was. After all, we once made a list running down the 10 most outlandish things to happen on "Legends of Tomorrow" without even mentioning the time the show's heroes met the actual voice actor behind the monster that was chasing them.
That said, arguably the best and wildest moment of the entire show -- one that signified "Legends of Tomorrow" could get away with certain things that no other series could -- came at the end of season 3. I'm referring, of course, to "The Good, The Bad and The Cuddly," an episode that culminated with an ancient demon being...

During its existence, the DC Extended Universe (Dceu) gave rise to some historic blunders. My personal favorite was when Dwayne Johnson simply refused to accept that his "Black Adam" movie wasn't very good, but the ill-fated shared universe has a plethora of greatest hits when it comes to cinematic slip-ups, from the box office disappointment that was "Shazam! Fury of the Gods" to the box office bomb of super-heroic proportions that was "The Flash."
Look, it's extremely difficult to build a shared cinematic universe. Aside from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the only action franchise that's really achieved anything of note in the last few years is the "John Wick" saga, and even that can't hope to match the historic highs of the MCU. So you can't really fault DC and Warner Bros. for failing to establish an enduring cinematic multiverse — though that hasn't stopped David Ayer from trying.

Zack Snyder’s Justice League was released in 2021, giving fans another look into the director’s unique vision for the Dceu. While fans thought there was a solid chance for an entire Justice League saga directed by Zack Snyder, nothing of the sort happened. Zack Snyder left, James Gunn and Peter Safran became in-charge, and the superhero universe was rebooted.

Despite all the facts, fans are still holding onto a thin thread of hope that Zack Snyder will return and finish what he started. However, as things stand right now, coming to the Dcu is not the filmmaker’s priority. Although, there is one way he might reconsider his decision and this might even allow Ben Affleck and others to return to their respective superhero roles.

Fly Me to the Moon trailer: Scarlett Johansson and Channing Tatum prepare for the first moon landing
An Apple Original Film, the comedy-drama Fly Me to the Moon is set to receive a theatrical release (in partnership with Sony Pictures Entertainment) on July 12th before it starts streaming on Apple TV+. With its big screen debut just three months away, a trailer for Fly Me to the Moon has made its way online, and you can check it out in the embed above.
Directed by Greg Berlanti from a screenplay by Rose Gilroy (with Bill Kirstein and Keenan Flynn receiving story credit), the film is described as sharp and stylish and is set against the high-stakes backdrop of NASA’s historic moon landing. Brought in to fix NASA’s public image, sparks fly in all directions as marketing wunderkind Kelly Jones wreaks havoc on launch director Cole Davis’s already difficult task. Sony and Apple have released the first trailer for “Fly Me to the Moon,” a romantic comedy starring Scarlett Johansson and Channing Tatum, which is set to premiere on July 12. The film is set against the 1960s space race and features Johansson as a marketing exec hired by NASA to film a fake moon landing in case the real mission fails. Apple won the project in a $100 million deal following a bidding war in 2022, and the project was formerly known as “Project Artemis.”
Chris Evans was first set to play Tatum’s role, while Oscar nominee Johansson — who also produces — has been attached to the film since its inception. Jason Bateman was originally set as the film’s director but left the project due to creative differences. His exit altered the shooting schedule and meant Evans could not complete the project and Netflix’s “Pain Hustlers” at the same time.

Scarlett Johansson and Channing Tatum find themselves in each other’s orbit in the first trailer for Fly Me to the Moon.
Apple Original Films’ romantic-comedy feature from director Greg Berlanti hits theaters July 14, with Sony handling distribution. Jim Rash, Ray Romano and Woody Harrelson round out the cast for the film that takes place against the backdrop of the Apollo 11 moon launch in 1968.
Berlanti helmed the movie from a script by Rose Gilroy, with Bill Kirstein and Keenan Flynn credited for the story. Producers are Johansson, Jonathan Lia, Keenan Flynn and Sarah Schechter, while Robert J. Dohrmann serves as executive producer.
The Hollywood Reporter reported in 2022 that the film — previously entitled Project Artemis and boasting a $100 million-plus budget — landed Berlanti as director after Jason Bateman left due to creative differences. We all know that The Penguin and Mr. Freeze appeared together at this year’s Oscars ceremony and that they faced their former nemesis, Batman, who challenged them to come at him. A confrontation was avoided, and this funny performance became one of the night’s best moments. However, it seems that some of those involved want more! Danny DeVito, who played Oswald Cobblepot, a.k.a. The Penguin, in Tim Burton’s 1992 Batman Returns, recently said that he would like to go back to his role and tackle Batman once again, but this time alongside Mr. Freeze, who was played by Arnold Schwarzenegger, DeVito’s Oscars co-presenter.
Schwarzenegger appeared as Mr. Freeze in Joel Schumacher’s Batman & Robin, where he fought against Batman alongside Poison Ivy and Bane. The irony of this situation is that while DeVito really did fight Michael Keaton’s Batman in Burton’s movie,...

We live in a golden era of sci-fi on TV, where "Star Trek" and "Star Wars" come in multiple flavors, "Stranger Things" is an event every season, and the CW recently wrapped up an entire universe of DC Comics superheroes on the small screen. Fortunately for all sci-fi fans, this is a time where the people who make such shows grew up loving them, and critics who review them were raised on the concepts and get it. This is all a relatively new phenomenon.
As recently as the '90s, TV critics weren't necessarily big on high-concept sci-fi, and the people making these shows didn't always know what they were doing either. Even if they did, producers over their heads weren't necessarily making the best decisions either. Superheroes on TV were entirely different three decades ago, and the weekly format was just discovering the notion of season-long arcs. There were growing pains to be sure,...

From sitcoms to superhero movies, the concept of multiverse is now every director’s favorite, it seems. From the world of animation to Hollywood, multiverses are really popular nowadays. However, Dcau filmmakers are not pretty happy about this special concept turning into an everyday theme.

After a very poor launch the new Rocksteady title, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, confirmed that it will keep releasing content. The first season is already live, with The Joker as a new playable character. The new season introduces additional elements to the game, such as the ability to explore Elseworlds, which are parallel universes within DC Comics.
According to some rumors and insiders, in season four of the game, Batman will be a playable character who comes from a medieval Elseworld. And Kevin Conroy apparently recorded dialog for the storyline before passing away in 2022.
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League will bring back Batman in future seasons The Dark Knight will be returning to the Rocksteady title.
As with all live-service games that have a poor launch, the key to survival is having a good player base to receive the content.

Has Dr. Ben Song (Raymond Lee) made his final leap? It would appear so, as Deadline has reported that NBC has canceled Quantum Leap after two seasons. The series had been on the bubble, so the news isn’t a complete surprise, but it’s sure to be disappointing for fans.
The follow-up to the original series takes place nearly 30 years since Dr. Sam Beckett stepped into the Quantum Leap accelerator and vanished. Now, a new team, led by physicist Ben Song (Lee), has been assembled to restart the project. Everything changes, however, when Ben makes an unauthorized leap into the past, leaving the team behind to solve the mystery of why he did it. The second season finale aired on February 20th. While it wasn’t written to be a series finale, Quantum Leap showrunners Martin Gero and Dean Georgaris hoped it could provide some closure while also setting the stage for new stories.

Establishing a shared cinematic universe is hard. Take Warner Bros. and DC's attempt at matching the success of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, for instance. Though it had some commercial successes, the DC Extended Universe ultimately disintegrated over the course of several recent box office bombs that included superheroic flop "The Flash." Then, there was Universal, with its ill-fated Dark Universe, which would have seen updated takes on classic Universal monsters inhabiting a shared timeline that would ultimately lead to some sort of monster team-up. Unfortunately, the whole thing failed almost instantly with the disappointment that was 2017's "The Mummy."
Now, with the almighty MCU even struggling to maintain its dominance amid the deluge of "content" being pumped out in its name, it seems harder than ever to construct and maintain a successful shared cinematic universe. But that won't stop horror director Rhys Frake-Waterfield, who is now threatening an entire interconnected...

Michael Keaton’s portrayal of Batman in the 1989 film and its 1992 sequel remains legendary, but what many don’t realize is that his casting initially sparked major controversy. Batman has always been one of the most beloved characters for comic readers, and making a movie about such a character was a difficult task, to say the least. And when Keaton was cast, people couldn’t envision Gotham City’s protector being entrusted to a comedic actor.
When Tim Burton chose Keaton, many were skeptical and lashed out. However, this decision not only became significant in Batman history but also played a crucial role in Mark Hamill voicing the Joker in Batman: The Animated Series!

Say what you will about superhero fatigue in recent months, but there's no denying that James Gunn is assembling quite a list of talent for his new DC Universe. Even though he's right in the middle of filming for "Superman", that hasn't stopped him and co-ceo Peter Safran from looking to the future for another superhero movie coming down the pipeline. After news broke earlier this year that "House of the Dragon" star Millie Alcock would be suiting up as Superman's superpowered cousin, the upcoming "Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow" film now has its director. That's maybe not the order of hiring we'd usually expect to see, but welcome to franchise filmmaking, folks!

Michael Keaton admits it was a "ballsy move" by Tim Burton to cast him as Batman. The 72-year-old actor first played the Caped Crusader in Burton's 1989 superhero film 'Batman' and acknowledged that the filmmaker had taken a risk by selecting him for the part after it was met with an angry backlash by fans.In a career retrospective interview for GQ magazine, Michael recalled: "When they said, 'We're thinking of doing Batman', I said, 'Wait, you're thinking of making a movie about Batman?'"The fact that Tim said, 'That guy, I want that guy'... The fact that people cared one way or another so much is still baffling. But this was a ballsy move on his part."We also had a nice working relationship from 'Beetlejuice', so he felt that he and I could get along and would work well together."Keaton went on...

From 2002 to 2007, director Sam Raimi helmed three Spider-Man movies for Sony. The films starred Tobey Maguire as the title hero, and they were all massive hits, pushing open the door for a superhero renaissance that dominated the 2010s. The series ended when "Spider-Man 3," despite making nearly $900 million at the worldwide box office, wasn't as big a hit as the studio wanted. The budget for that film was also wildly high, costing as much as $350 million to make, and fans weren't as excited by the sloppy storytelling and strange Venom storyline.
Rather than push ahead with "Spider-Man 4," Sony elected to wait five years and reboot the continuity with "The Amazing Spider-Man" in 2012. That continuity was short-lived, ending in 2014 with the release of "The Amazing Spider-Man 2." Fan goodwill was at an all-time low. From there, a tertiary Spider-Man appeared in the now-flourishing Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Michael Keaton participated in a career retrospective interview for GQ magazine and admitted that his casting as Batman in Tim Burton’s 1989 superhero movie was “ballsy” considering he was more known for his comedic roles in films like “Mr. Mom” at that point in his career. Keaton’s casting was met with backlash among comic book fans at the time. The actor had already worked with Burton on 1998’s comedy “Beetlejuice.”
“When they said ‘We’re thinking of doing Batman,’ I said, ‘Wait, you’re thinking of making a movie about Batman?’,” Keaton said. “The fact that Tim said ‘That guy, I want that guy’ … The fact that people cared one way or another so much is still baffling. Three and a half decades post his initial portrayal, Michael Keaton unveils the narrative behind Tim Burton’s controversial decision to cast him as Batman ( Photo Credit – IMDb )
In a recent chat with GQ, Michael Keaton looked back on landing the role of Bruce Wayne in Tim Burton’s Batman flick, recognizing the initial uproar over his casting. Back in the late ’80s, fans weren’t sold on Keaton’s ability to pull off the iconic superhero, worried that his comedic background wouldn’t mesh with the dark character. Yet, Keaton has since earned acclaim as one of the top actors to don the Batman cape, proving Burton’s unconventional choice right. Keaton gave props to Burton for his gutsy call and shared some thoughts on his time filming the inaugural Batman film.

It’s been over two years since the final episode of ‘Legends of Tomorrow’ aired. The show ended suddenly after seven seasons, catching even the creator off guard, which is why it ended on a big cliffhanger.

Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman made her debut in the Dcu in 2016’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and made a great impression on audiences. They loved Gadot’s charm and ease with which she portrayed the character. Her solo film in 2017 further proved that she was not a fluke and was born to play the character.

Ezra Miller has quietly been recast as the voice of D.A. Sinclair in Prime Video’s animated series “Invincible.” Miller voiced the character in one episode in the show’s first season.
The character, a deranged scientist who kills humans and turns them into robots, was defeated in the first season but resurrected in a nightmare sequence in “Invincible” Season 2, but Miller did not return for the role. The character is instead voiced by Eric Bauza (“X-Men ’97”) in the sequence.
Prime Video and Miller’s representatives did not immediately respond to TheWrap’s request for comment.
The news follows a tumultuous two years for Miller, who was charged with a felony count of burglary into an occupied dwelling and a minor charge of petit larceny after a video showed them unlawfully entering Isaac Winokur’s home in May of last year.

Ezra Miller’s role in Prime Video’s Invincible has seemingly been recast in the wake of the actor’s controversies leading up to the release of The Flash.
In season one of the animated series, Miller, who uses they/them pronouns, voiced District Attorney Sinclair, a genius who attended Upstate University and believes that human weaknesses can be solved by engineering. After being defeated by the Invincible team, he returns in this week’s episode of season two, “I’m Not Going Anywhere.”
This time around, however, it appears the mad scientist is no longer voiced by Miller but instead by Eric Bauza. The actor has more than 350 voice credits, including X-Men ’97, Krapopolis, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Rick & Morty.
The Hollywood Reporter has reached out to Miller’s rep and Prime Video for comment.

For a short bit there, it seemed like Ezra Miller’s career was going to be torpedoed thanks to numerous controversies. Yet, Miller managed to stay on board The Flash. Ok, so that was yet another flop for DC but it showed there was still (some) support for Miller within the industry in one way or another. But now, it might truly be over, as Invincible, has quietly removed Miller from the series. The actor had been previously cast as D.A. Sinclair. So where does that leave the troubled star?
While Ezra Miller voiced the mad scientist with a penchant for turning people into obedient cyborgian zombie soldiers called “Reanimen” in the first season, Eric Bauza has now taken over the role. After The Flash actor Ezra Miller faced a string of controversies, it seems that Amazon’s Invincible opted to play it safe and replace the actor with voice acting legend Eric Bauza. And it appears, Prime Video executed this change rather subtly, as Miller had previously voiced the character, Mad Scientist Da Sinclair who first appeared in the episode called You Look Kinda Dead in Season 1. However, when Sinclair reappeared in the latest episode of the series, the character was voiced by Bauza. But who is Eric Bauza?

The 1950s saw a boom of science fiction stories focused on the concept of psionics. Authors took nascent studies of the brain and its potential to wild places, exploring what could happen if humanity was able to use 100% of our brain capacity and gained superpowers. Everyone from Frank Herbert to Isaac Asimov, James Blish, and many more tapped into this concept.
When it came time for George Lucas to pivot away from doing a "Flash Gordon" movie and instead come up with his own fictional universe with enough worldbuilding to sustain a prequel trilogy, he developed his own version of psionics and combined it with elements of several world religions. The result was the Jedi and the concept of The Force, which are integral to the "Star Wars" universe and the success of its films. These movies gave audiences a unique yet also familiar imagery of samurai wizard monks. The Jedi were instantly memorable,...

By 2023, superhero fatigue had reached its peak. Two out of three Marvel Studios releases had failed to impress, with ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania’ barely breaking even and ‘The Marvels’ becoming the lowest-grossing MCU movie to date.
