Julien : New York! It's a bit of a dump. Are you sure we're not in New Jersey?
-
Julien : [after Melman has announced he has only 48 hours to live] If I, King Julien, that's my name, had only two days to live, I would do all the things I always wanted to do.
Melman : Like what?
Julien : I'd become a professional whistler. I'm pretty fantastic right now, but I would do it professionally.
[Tries to whistle, but all that comes out is a long raspberry]
Julien : Another thing I would do is invade a neighboring country, and force my own ideology on them, even if they didn't want it.
-
Julien : [as the plane dives] Raise your arms, Maurice! It's more fun when you raise your arms up like this, ah ha ha ha!
-
Julien : [Mort wants to go on the plane] Stop him! He's carrying scissors and hand cream!
-
Julien : [the animal herds are running towards the fiery volcano, planning on sacrificing Melman to the gods in hopes of creating water] Hurry up, before we come to our senses!
-
Julien : [referring to the fiery volcano] I'd jump in myself, if I weren't so good at whistling.
[proceeds to whistle terribly]
-
Julien : I don't know why the sacrifice didn't work. The science was so solid.
-
Julien : Please, go over there please
-
Julien : [thrown out of a plane, opens a parachute] I CAN FLY!
-
Julien : [explaining the concept of sacrifice] My sacrifice goes in the volcano. Then, the friendly Gods eat up my sacrifice... "Mmm, very nice, thank you for the sacrifice..." "Please have another sacrifice!" "No, I've had enough for today..." "Listen I'm gonna be very insulted unless you have another." "I don't WANT ANOTHER SACRIFICE OK?" "Look at you, you look skinny!" "No, I THINK I'VE HAD ENOUGH, IS THAT CLEAR?"
-
Julien : The gods eat the sacrifice, they are grateful, they give me some of their water, and then I give it to you.
Gloria : What?
Additional Dik Dik : Does it work?
Julien : No. I mean, yes. Well, Maurice?
Maurice : Yeah, it's fifty-fifty.
-
Julien : Look, Maurice! The perfect spot for my summer palace! Please fill in all these holes and relocate the riff-raff.
[sees Melman in the dying hole]
Julien : Who'd leave a perfectly good head lying around?
Maurice : What a waste.
Melman : Tell me about it. I'm in my prime here. I'm terminal, you know? I probably only have another two days left to live.
Maurice : That's a bummer, man.
