- TriviaThe reason Michael Shanks has a smaller role in this episode is because his appendix ruptured the day before filming. The writers decided that his character would be recovering from the same operation.
- GoofsSG-1 confirm with Thor that his ship will completely burn up entering Earth's atmosphere. This is only the case for this episode's plot convenience as Thor's ship has previously entered a planet's atmosphere where the ship clearly appears coming through cloud level making it well within the atmosphere. It would be illogical to say those planets have a different atmosphere from Earth, and that the ship should not be able to enter or burn up in any planet's atmosphere no matter which way it's looked at.
Yet it is made clear that the ship will only burn up because it is entering uncontrolled, which is also true of real-life space shuttles. They have to enter at a certain angle and speed to withstand the friction.
- Crazy creditsThe opening credits for this episode are identical to that of the original pilot episode-- a full slow pass over a symbolic statue of Ra, which had been taken from the original movie, rather than the montage of clips illustrating the actors and their roles-- despite this being the final episode in the third season.

Nice Vacations
The SG-1 is on vacation: Daniel has just operated appendicitis; Teal'c is visiting his son in another planet; Sam is entertaining with researches; and Jack is seeking company to go fishing in Minnesota. While inviting Sam, he is unexpectedly beamed aboard the Bilskimir, the Asgard Thor's spacecraft. He sees mechanical bugs and learns that Thor is dying. He explains to Jack that the creatures are the dangerous Replicators that ingest metals alloys to replicate. Further, Thor has destroyed the transport so that nobody can leave the Bilskimir that is heading to Earth. Jack contacts the SGC and requests explosives to blow up the Bilskimir and gives direct orders forbidding Sam and Teal'c to join him. However, his friends arrive in the spaceship since General Hammond overruled his orders. How might they survive without means of transportation?
"Nemesis" is among the best episodes of "Stargate SG-1". The story has a perfect combination of sci-fi, action and comedy with Jack completely inspired with excellent lines. The show would be well- resolved but the last scene forces the story to be continued. My vote is nine.
