- Alternate reality versions of Kawalsky and Carter are caught at Area 51 after coming through the quantum mirror.
- The quantum mirror Daniel found in There But for the Grace of God (1998) brings to Area 51 a Kawalsky and Dr. Carter from another reality, this time one where Sam never joined the military but became Jack's wife and the Goa'uld just overran earth. Dr. Carter begins suffering from temporal entropic cascade failure, a paradoxical effect of having two versions of the same person in the same reality, and realises that she must return to her own reality or both Sams will eventually perish. SG-1 embark to the alternate reality to intercede and prevent the Goa'uld from conquering Earth before our General Hammond has the mirror disabled. The alternative Teal'c remained Apophis's loyal first prime, so the 'real' one can assume his identity to infiltrate the invading force, but they are discovered and captured, but this only serves as the ideal diversion while the Sams also contact the alternate Asgard.—KGF Vissers
- Alternate reality versions of Carter and Kawalsky appear in Area 51, from the mirror that Jackson encountered in There But for the Grace of God (1998), saying Goa'uld captured their Earth; the alternate Carter experiences temporal distortions, and SG-1 goes to free the alternate Earth from its Apophis.—Parfy3c
- In an alternate universe, Dr. Samantha Carter and Major Charles Kowalski escape their world when the Goa'uld successfully invade the Earth. They escape through the quantum mirror and arrive in the universe we know. They realize they cannot return, and face the fact they will likely never again see their own world. In the alternate universe, Samantha Carter is a civilian and was married to Col. Jack O'Neill, who was only recently killed. A problem arises, however, when the alternate Carter begins to phase out, likely the result of the fact that there are two Samantha Carters occupying the same time and space. The only choice is for the alternates to return to their own universe and fight the Goa'uld with the help of SGC... and that of close friends.—garykmcd
- In Area 51, a Kawalsky and Dr. Carter from another reality crosses the quantum mirror and are sent to the SGC. They are interrogated by General Hammond and the SG-1 team, and soon she is affected by the temporal entropic cascade failure since she is sharing the same reality with Major Samantha Carter. Sam, who is civilian and was married to Jack in the other reality, must return to her reality; otherwise, she will die with her twin due to the paradox. The SG-1 without Major Carter decides to help Kawalsky and Dr. Carter return, since Earth has been invaded by the Goa'uld, and to ask for help from the alternate Asgard to fight against the invaders. Will they succeed?—Claudio Carvalho, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
