- Full spoiler version: His upper skull is teleported away from the rest of his body by holding his head partway in the Stargate and shutting off the portal. No bleeding, but the top of his head looks like a medical cross-section with some extra red. A parasite was in his brain, causing violent insanity. He asked beforehand to be killed if he became insane.
