Intimate Details vs the Original Miniseries

Warning: Spoilers
I am genuinely appreciating this miniseries and all the details involved, no matter how little. The miniseries some time ago w/Meredith Baxter Bernie told it almost all from a different point of view: Betty was the villain, make no mistake. My own VERY affluent parents divorced around the same time, so this story completely resonates with me. Betty was not some psychotic entitled nutjob. ANYONE who went thru this was definitely a victim.

Yes, it is HIS money from HIS work. However, she seemed to be nothing but a good looking broodmare from relatively good stock that new how to make a generous bed on her honeymoon. RED FLAG. My father wasn't like this guy...my father was VERY happy with my Mom and she was VERY happy with my Dad, except my father's Mistress was the bottle. He turned into a very bad man while drinking...it was the reason for their divorce. (And FYI: After the divorce, all they BOTH ever did was call us kids to see what they were doing, who they were doing it with, and pined for each other till both their very ends.) Dingalings.

You can see that while it Dan who got killed, Betty was the victim. He genuinely set her up, and she dealt with it very poorly. I nearly didn't watch this, but I love Amanda and I love Christian so...

I'm very very grateful to see all the small details, how she gave ALL of herself ALL her good years, her tireless womb: All for this man who...this was really very upsetting at the time, because my Dad did the same thing, without it being about another woman. He didn't want to quit being high or drunk. And he was a VERY Functioning alcoholic with zero hangover capacity, well into his 50s. Both are victims in their own ways. Same for these two.

The clothing and settings in this series has been done very well. Cigarettes were already becoming taboo, ESPECIALLY with the elites: I know, I was there, except in NYC. I'm sure CA was enforcing rules about it sooner than the City.

The music is a blast, as well. Lyrics carefully chosen. I love that about any movie or miniseries/television show.
