The day before she is attacked, Will and Laura see a report on Bourdette's death on a TV at the hotel bar. Later, one of the cops mentions that Laura was raped last September. But when Will watches the DVD interview with Bourdette that was recorded moments before his death, Marsh says it's November 3rd.
When Laura is at the music rehearsal, she's not wearing her necklace. When she leaves the theatre and is attacked at the car, she wears the necklace.
Will's facial hair changes several times in between shots, going from almost shaven to a more fully one.
In the12th minute when Will enters Laura's hospital room, her head is facing slightly to her left. When Will asks other to give him a moment alone with her and he approaches closer, Laura's head is markedly turned further to her left..
In the 14th minutes when Will is in the hospital waiting room and is addressed by the in a grey suit sitting behind him, the neck of the man's jacket collar changes several time. When seen from Will's view there is a large crease behind the back of neck, but from the front , this area is flat.
When Will bought the bar from the vending machine, the first two numbers were 11. This should have made the same sound when pressed. Instead, it made two different sounds, and it appeared his fingers moved not to touch 1 twice.
In the 46th minute, a New Orleans public bus's front sign reads 'public service.' There is no route number or information, nor does the bus have an ID number. In the 47th minute, Will boards another bus whose sign reads 'downtown' and has no ID number.
In the 79th minute when Will crashes into the storage locker and retrieves items, he exits and sees a police car pull past the lane way. with him out of with to the officers. He then flees in vehicle in the opposite direction and only then do police back up and turn into the lane. If they thought he was acting suspicious, they would have backed up earlier. Otherwise they would not have known that he fled upon seeing them, as he was out of their direct line of sight.
In the 79th minute as police chase Will on the highway, a police officer would not be within 10 feet of another vehicle who is not involved in a chase, nor would the pursuers consider going between two vehicles in side to side lanes. They would take an outside lane, choosing one of least resistance.
In the 51st minute detectives are interviewing Will about the death of Alan Marsh. When Will denies culpability, a detective claims they have video footage from the ramp underneath the bridge from which Alan fell. When Will implies that such footage would prove his innocence, the same detective volunteers that the camera was without tape. An investigator would disclose this information.
When Simon enters the toilets in the sports stadium, a man with a striped top and distinguishable facial hair can be seen entering behind him. A few moments later upon leaving the stadium the same extra can be clearly seen opening the door for Simon, only this time wearing a security uniform.
During the chase sequence where Nicolas Cage is running away from the bad guys on the highway and also during the shopping mall fight, there are few shots where his stunt-double face and slightly altered hairline is visible.
Simon pronounces Earhart Blvd. as ear-heart. Anyone who has lived in New Orleans for any length of time pronounces it air-heart.
