- When the movie aired on Freeform, a large portion of the spaceship carnival game was cut.
- TV airings feature a heavily zoomed-in version of the Universal logo, likely to crop out the NBC Universal byline.
- There are a few changes that occurred in the Italian dub of the film. These include:
- In the Illumination Entertainment logo, the minion says "Hey, Ciao!" instead of greeting in Minionese.
- The film shows the opening title in Italian instead of translating it through subtitles.
- The song "My Life" was given Italian lyrics and sung by Italian singer Giorgia Todrani.
- The European French dub of the film shows the opening title in French instead of translating it through subtitles.
- The 3D version has the Universal logo zoomed in and once "UNIVERSAL" is rotated from behind, the entire globe zooms out, and instead of slowing to a stop, it stops hard in its far-back position. This would also apply to films such as 8 Mile (2002), American Wedding (2003), Seabiscuit (2003), Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World (2003) and The Bourne Supremacy (2004)
