- TriviaThe beginning of the episode fills in the gap between seasons 2 and 3. Among the alternative events are the assassination of British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher at the 1984 Brighton Hotel Bombing (Thatcher actually survived the attack), the election of Democratic Senator Gary Hart as President of the United States instead of losing the 1984 primaries and the success of Mikhail Gorbachev's reform policies in the Soviet Union. Some others deal with pop culture, such as Meg Ryan and Dennis Quaid starring a movie based on the life of Gordo and Tracy (possibly the alternate version of The Right Stuff (1983), a film on the same subject of space exploration), the Beatles being reunited as a band (as they briefly considered it after being teased by the hosts of Saturday Night Live) and Kurt Cobain remaining alive.
- GoofsThe slightest friction in the bearings system would cause the 'non-rotating' part of Polaris Hotel, the hub and solar panels, to be pulled by the thruster-driven habitat ring. It would require counter thrusters to hold that section static relative to Earth.

Love this series !
But this episode was PAINFUL... Like there would NOT be a centrally located valve system to shut off propellant to a thruster?
Nobody with a clue about engineering would buy any of this. Normally I have no problem buying into what they do on this show. Guys! I realize you needed a "space disaster" to show the hostile turns on a dime nature of being in space but, would have been WAY better if that debris just depressurized a section of the station.
Going to stay with it as like so many recent scifi shows it has a lot to offer (not YOU Avenue Five! You still blow chunks)
