Eva Mendes is known for her insanely good looks and has often been considered one of the most beautiful women in Hollywood. The Hitch star is known for her roles in films such as Ghost Rider, We Own The Night, and The Place Beyond the Pines, the latter of which was where she met her future partner Ryan Gosling.
While it has been a while since she has starred in any film, Eva Mendes was the subject of a tabloid rumor back in 2007. The actress was reportedly rumored to be pregnant after being seen by paparazzi with a ‘bump’. However, the actress denied the claim back then and Evan promoted body positivity by speaking about how putting on a little bit of weight was not that big of a deal.

"Dune: Part Two" has officially become a commercial success, passing huge box office milestones and creeping towards the $600 million mark worldwide. Director Denis Villeneuve has thus proven wrong those who said Frank Herbert's celebrated "Dune" novel was "unfilmable," especially when you consider the critical response in conjunction with those box office numbers. "Dune: Part Two" might be a bleak blockbuster, but it's so far managed a 93% rating on Rotten Tomatoes and a similarly impressive 95% audience score.
It's safe to say, then, that Villeneuve's epic sci-fi sequel is not only a critical and commercial success but perhaps even a box office savior. Back in February, prior to the film's March debut, /Film's Ryan Scott noted that movie ticket sales were down 15% compared to the same point in 2023, and there's not a movie fan out there who isn't aware of the industry's post-pandemic struggles. Ryan Gosling has been killing it on the career front with his performance in last year’s Barbie garnering much praise, including an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor. He won hearts at the Oscars this year with his rendition of the Oscar-nominated song ‘I’m Just Ken’, with celebrities such as Emma Stone and Margot Robbie joining in on the fun.
However, one person who was not present was Gosling’s partner Eva Mendes. Though the actress was seen near Gosling’s dressing room, she was notably absent at the ceremony while the Barbie star was bringing down the roof with his performance. Now, an insider stated that the couple were headed for a breakup and that they had separate lives.

Adam McKay won’t move forward with “Average Height, Average Build,” a comedy about a serial killer that was set to star Robert Pattinson, Amy Adams and Robert Downey Jr. Netflix was supposed to produce the star-studded film, but the streamer won’t make the project without McKay’s involvement behind the camera, sources confirmed to Variety.
Instead, the writer and director will reportedly focus on a movie about climate change, a topic that seems about as ripe for laughs as murderers. However, McKay has found the humor in dark topics before — tackling the financial crash of 2008 in “The Big Short,” the Iraq War in “Vice,” and natural disasters with “Don’t Look Up.” It’s unclear how he’ll take on the mounting threat to the planet or if Netflix will be involved.

The comedy team known as Please Don't Destroy from recent seasons of "Saturday Night Live" have made quite a splash on the late night sketch comedy show. Acting as what is basically the newest equivalent of The Lonely Island, the trio comprised of Martin Herlihy, John Higgins, and Ben Marshall delivers hilarious pre-recorded sketches, and they're also part of the writing staff. Now, like many "SNL" cohorts before them, Please Don't Destroy is releasing their first movie, and the first trailer has arrived.
Originally intended for theaters, "Please Don't Destroy: The Treasure of Foggy Mountain" is coming to Peacock in November instead, probably because the title wouldn't fit on most marquees. But in all seriousness, don't let its streaming destination make you think this movie isn't worth your time. This is the kind of comedy that studios aren't making much anymore, and it likely feels like it's just too much...

Jake Johnson may be a big star, but that doesn't mean he's willing to share everything about his life publicly. If you take a look at his Instagram, you'll see the 45-year-old actor keeps his personal life out of the spotlight by not posting pictures of his family, including his wife, Erin Payne, and their twin daughters, Elizabeth and Olivia. He also rarely talks about his family in interviews and has only made a few public appearances with them.
Considering he's been with Payne for more than 20 years, it's remarkable that Johnson and his wife have managed to keep their relationship under the radar after all this time. If you're wondering what their secret is, it's that Johnson knows how to set boundaries and stick to them. For example, when Glamour asked Johnson how long he's been married, he responded by saying "a while." After being asked to give more details,...

With its list of new releases for July 2023, Prime Video is going to help you stay safe from the oppressive July sun.
Highlighting the Amazon Originals on the TV side this month are two heavy hitters. The first is The Horror of Dolores Roach on July 7. Then season 2 of Neil Gaiman adaptation Good Omens premieres on July 28. This season will follow angel Aziraphale (Michael Sheen) and demon Crowley (David Tenant) as they seek to keep the Archangel Gabriel (Jon Hamm) away from both heaven and hell.
There aren’t any Amazon Original movies of note this month and that’s alright as the influx of library titles is more than enough. July 1 sees the arrival of The 40-Year-Old Virgin, No Country for Old Men,...

Ray Stevenson, a versatile actor known for genre fare such as Punisher: War Zone, the Thor movies, HBO’s Rome and much, much more, has died. He was 58.
Born George Raymond Stevenson on May 25, 1964, in Lisburn, Northern Ireland, he harbored acting ambitions from an early age. He enrolled at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School, from where he eventually obtained his graduate degree.
From there, he kicked off a career in British and European TV, starting with 1993’s A Woman’s Guide To Adultery, in which he had a small role as a journalist. He racked up credits in a number of TV series well known to audiences, including Peak Practice, Holby City and The Bill.
But on the small screen, his true big break was HBO’s Rome, in which he played the cheery, violent Titus Pollo. It raised his profile, and he began to score bigger parts both on TV and the big screen.

The multiverse? So hot right now.
Theories surrounding alternate universes have existed in some form or another since the days of pre-Socratic Greek philosopher Anaximander in the sixth century Bce. Recently, however, popular culture has realized the full storytelling potential of infinite worlds in grand fashion. Adult Swim’s Rick and Morty arguably brought the age-old concept to the mainstream. Then Marvel Studios kicked off its own Multiverse Saga with phases 4 through 6 of the long-running franchise. Most recently, the multiverse-friendly Everything Everywhere All At Once won seven Academy Awards, including Best Picture.
While the multiverse is very much in right now, there is an important element that most, if not all, of these multiverse projects are missing. And that’s something that actress and filmmaker Zoe Lister-Jones is hoping to rectify with her new Roku Channel series Slip.

Adam McKay, the director of Don’t Look Up, Vice, The Big Short, The Other Guys, Talladega Nights, Step Brothers, and the Anchorman movies, is pitching his next film to studios and streamers – and, as you would expect from a director with a line-up of credits like that, it looks like this one is going to have multiple A-listers in its cast as well. Robert Pattinson is attached to star, and Robert Downey Jr. is among the actors who could end up in the supporting cast. The film is called Average Height, Average Build, and while McKay describes it as a “political dramedy”, the lead character happens to be a serial killer.
Update: Deadline adds that Amy Adams, Forest Whitaker, and Danielle Deadwyler are also up for roles.

Film fans have expressed their joy over the practice of changing the titles of English-language Hollywood films to other English phrases for international audiences.
The online discussion began when Juan Buis, a writer and designer, shared a collection of movie posters in their original forms alongside their versions when advertised in France.
The thread, posted on Wednesday (8 March), shows Hollywood film titles alongside their French cinema equivalents – often not in French, as expected, but using English to create an alternative moniker.
“The French love to translate movie titles from English to... English,” Buis began his post.

The 2009 comedy, starring Bradley Cooper, Zach Galifianakis and Ed Helms, is titled Very Bad Trip in France.

In light of Will Ferrell's other comedy films in the mid-2000s, "Elf" is a little surprising. Unlike movies like "Anchorman," "Talladega Nights," "Stepbrothers," or "The Other Guys," the 2003 Christmas film is surprisingly clean-cut and wholesome. It fits comfortably within its PG rating, never spoiling the truth about Santa to younger viewers, and avoiding most of the raunchy humor that so many of Ferrell's movies are full of. Back in 2002 as Ferrell was wrapping up his final season as a cast member at "Saturday Night Live," it would've been a little surprising to learn that Ferrell's next big project would basically be a kids' movie.

It’s almost impossible to imagine now, but the internet used to be a fun place where people could gather to enjoy themselves and unite over a singular piece of comedic content. That’s exactly what happened on April 12, 2007, when longtime collaborators Adam McKay and Will Ferrell (Anchorman, Step Brothers) and writer-producer Chris Henchy (Entourage, The Other Guys) uploaded a video called “The Landlord” to their experimental comedy website Funny Or Die. The 144-second clip, featuring Ferrell “arguing” with his trash-talking landlord — played famously by McKay’s 2-year-old daughter, Pearl — had 60,000 views within a few hours of posting.
“The Landlord” became a blueprint for Fod’s frills-free Mo: Upload a shortform video to the site and let viewers vote on whether to send it to the home page — thus, funny or die. (To date, “The Landlord” has amassed some 158 million views across all platforms.

Dwayne Johnson is one the last great movie stars. As a wrestler, he built a career on physical prowess and dynamic charisma, and those qualities translated neatly into a successful acting career. Whether he’s kicking butt, tickling funny bones or (frequently) both, Dwayne Johnson has the uncanny ability to make almost every movie better, just by showing up for work. And he works hard. Let’s take a look at the impressively prolific career of the beloved movie star and rank his films from best to worst.
(Note: The following films are ranked based on their quality and on their Dwayne Johnson-ness. Films in which he only has a minor role will mostly rank low, and films in which he has little more than a cameo will receive unranked honorable mentions — and even then only if they are noteworthy.)
Honorable Mention: “The Mummy Returns” (2001)

HBO has released a new trailer for the second season of its original series, "Avenue 5." The show was created by two-time Emmy Award-winner Armando Iannucci and stars Hugh Laurie ("House") and Josh Gad ("Beauty and the Beast"). If you haven't watched it yet, it's the story set about 40 years in the future aboard an interstellar spaceship. It's owned by clueless billionaire Herman Judd (Gad in a ponytail and some pretty wild outfits), who hired mainly attractive actors and models for his crew, so everyone would look good on the bridge and please the passengers. The ship itself is actually run by a second crew who weren't deemed pretty enough to be seen.
The titular space cruiser, Avenue 5, was supposed to be out on an eight-week cruise, but the death of an engineer and the temporary loss of artificial gravity changed their course. Instead of eight weeks, the ship would...

Review: Kevin Hart is anything if not consistent. Over the course of his big screen career, Hart has consistently played the same character time and again: the lovable straight man who invariably loses his cool and hilarious results follow. From Night School and Central Intelligence to Jumanji and Ride Along, Hart has never come close to matching the energy of his stand-up comedy shows for the entirety of a feature film. While he has tried his hand at more dramatic fare like Fatherhood, True Story, and The Upside or action roles like Die Hart and The Man From Toronto, Hart consistently returns to comedies. His latest partners him with Mark Wahlberg...

Not long after Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson's comic series "The Boys" debuted in 2006, people were trying to get the series adapted to the big screen. One of those people was Seth Rogen, who pushed for an adaptation for years before finally succeeding in getting it greenlit by Amazon in 2015. He now serves the show as an executive producer and makes questionable cameos roughly once a season.
Another one of those people was Adam McKay, a director who started off with lighthearted comedy films like "Anchorman" and "The Other Guys," before pivoting to more explicitly political projects like "The Big Short," "Vice," and most recently, "Don't Look Up." He spent a lot of time trying to pitch a film adaptation of "The Boys" in the early 2010s, but none of the studios wanted anything to do with it. "I took it to every studio, every production financing place in town,...
