In an open-world game, one element that consistently captures the player’s attention is the NPCs. Among these, it’s the ones that react to your actions or your choices are the one that stands out the most. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim was released 13 years ago and it was one of the first to incorporate the reactive NPCs.
Todd Howard, director of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, wanted to make the characters in the game respond to the player’s appearance, dialogues, and actions. By setting this trend, he created a benchmark that even the likes of Hidetaka Miyazaki’s Elden Ring may have taken note of.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion introduced the gaming world to NPCs with AI brains, highlighting NPCs are capable of majorly impacting gameplay. Although the game managed to put NPCs in a new light, it also birthed a new set of issues, mainly NPCs gaining a form of free will that hindered the player’s ability to complete quests.
The idea that NPCs can make their own choices sounds fantastic on paper but can also act as a double-edged sword. This was very evident in one of the quests of the game, where the NPCs got addicted to drugs and stopped players from completing the task on hand, which led to the toning down of NPCs from developers.

Top Gun: Maverick came more than three decades after the release of the first film starring Tom Cruise in the lead, and yet, it was as much of a resounding success as the original film from 1986. However, unlike a lot of stuff and people that were brought back from the first movie in this 2022 one, legendary filmmaker Tony Scott wasn’t one because of his devastating demise in 2012.

Since the younger Scott wasn’t there, Cruise reportedly decided to approach the older and equally legendary Scott brother, Ridley Scott, to helm the second movie in his Aviation film series. However, he was surprisingly not only met with a declined request by the iconic director, with the movie going to Joseph Kosinski instead, but was even met with his film being considered mediocre by Ridley!

WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill needed everything in their arsenals to walk out as champions during a spirited title bout with Candice LeRae and Indi Hartwell. LeRae and Hartwell isolated and hobbled Belair, ruthlessly targeting the injury The Est suffered at the hands of The Poison Pixie a few weeks ago. Unfortunately for LeRae and Hartwell, a Storm was coming. Belair tagged in Cargill, and her unbelievable strength and athleticism more than evened the odds.

Tom Cruise has made one thing crystal clear when it comes to stunts, he’s practically invincible, and there’s nothing he can’t pull off. Yet, now that he’s seemingly conquered everything there is to be conquered in the stunt world, fans are itching for him to return to some of his villainous roles.
Tom Cruise in Mission: Impossible (1996)
With a career spanning decades and a resume that includes nearly every stunt imaginable, Cruise’s return to portraying compelling antagonists seems like the most logical next step to his fans. It’s not just fans who are eager for this, even esteemed figures like Scott Derrickson, the director behind Doctor Strange, have recognized the brilliance of Cruise’s past performances in thrillers. Shadow of the Erdtree, Elden Ring‘s highly awaited Dlc, is finally arriving next month. It’s been an agonizing wait, but fellow Tarnished, rest easy as we’re almost at the finish line.
Looking at what Hidetaka Miyazaki, the FromSoftware president, has had to say about the upcoming Dlc, it sounds like the team has crafted something truly amazing that could rival the base game itself. And it wouldn’t be the first time that’s happened; there’s some amazing Dlc out there that deserve just as much acclaim as their base games got.
Shadow of the Erdtree and Four Other Amazing Video Game DLCs Shadow of the Erdtree could blown the base game out of the water.
From adding memorable bosses to giving players enough content to keep them busy for weeks, each of these DLCs have something unique and valuable that they contribute to their respective titles.

Given the state of the world around us today, it's not surprising that people are interested in post-apocalyptic settings. After all, you never know what skills or niche knowledge might save your life one day!
In all seriousness, though, post-apocalyptic scenarios can be a lot of fun. Packed with action, high stakes, and suspense, they keep viewers on the edge of their seats. Unfortunately, it's not easy to find a movie or TV series that does justice to the genre and doesn't rely on the same repetitive clichés.
If you're feeling the adrenaline rush and can't wait for Fallout to return with season 2, check out the movies below.
Waterworld (1995)
At the time of its release, Waterworld was the most expensive movie ever made, but neither the huge budget nor Kevin Costner's name could save it from negative reviews. Although Waterworld is not the most outstanding movie of the genre,...

With Unreal Engine 5 being the hottest thing out there, fans cannot wait to experience the realism and rich graphics of the engine. This has led many fans and modders to remake their favorite games on the latest game engine.

Bethesda’s Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim received critical acclaim when it was released back in 2011. The game saw the elimination of the usual character class system, which was a staple in previous The Elder Scrolls entries. The change was positively received by the community.
Elder Scrolls 5 Skyrim
While overall the game managed to win the hearts of fans, it also came with a lot of bugs, which were quite bothersome. Bugs are not completely alien to games. Almost every game has bugs. And so did the earlier installments of Elder Scrolls.
Todd Howard talks about the bugs in Elder Scrolls 4 Skyrim
Ahead of Elder Scrolls 4 Skyrim‘s release, the game’s game director and executive producer, Todd Howard, in an interview with Gamesutra revealed some insights on how they perceive bugs in their games. Referring to bugs as “weirdness” he was asked if it was ever possible to make a game that has no bugs.

FromSoftware’s legendary game creator, Hidetaka Miyazaki, is known for his iconic creations like Dark Souls, and Bloodborne. Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim is one of the most-played open-world western RPGs ever released. This title is only topped by the likes of The Witcher 3 and Baldur’s Gate 3, yet the charm of this title stays intact. It cannot be stressed enough how wide a shadow this game must cast on its Mmorpg cousin, Elder Scrolls Online.
Elder Scrolls Online was launched back in 2014 to a mixed reception from both gamers as well as critics. But most of them were still playing games like Skyrim and World of Warcraft back then; hence, it made sense for them to compare it to those games. Developers knew this would happen; hence, they had already taken measures to combat this issue.

Elder Scrolls Online is one of the most-played live service titles right now. This game took around seven years to make. Its developer, ZeniMax Online Studios, made sure that every Elder Scrolls fan out there felt at home when they entered the world of Elder Scrolls Online.
But as happens with every other game, a lot of things changed during the development of this one too. A number of features were kept; others were removed. It’s no secret the Bethesda community is full of enthusiastic fans who love the games so much, they spend countless hours making mods for them. From tiny things like horse armor to entirely fan-made quests and locations, the variety on offer is staggering.
In the past, modders have always created these mods for free, treating them as passion projects. But with a new program by Bethesda called Creations, there’s a big row about whether modders should be able to charge money for their work.
Some Bethesda Modders Think Paid Mods Can Inhibit Creativity
Modder Shekhinaga thinks monetizing mods won’t lead to anything good.

Hidetaka Miyazaki gave the players Elden Ring in 2022 with the help of George R. R. Martin, who contributed to worldbuilding. Millions of players have delved deeper into the Lands Between and are waiting to enter the Land of Shadow, as was seen in the Shadow of the Erdtree trailer. The world that fans see isn’t simply a result of imagination but also of a fascination with fantasy.
A video game auteur, Miyazaki is known for the difficulty he incorporates in his games alongside the narratives that are largely presented via environmental cues and flavor texts. He wants the players to unfold the story as it suits them rather than following a pre-planned path every time, they begin the game after finishing up.

Gatecreeper have announced their new album, Dark Superstition, and shared the first single “The Black Curtain” ahead of the LP’s May 17th release date.
The Arizona band has made its name with grinding death metal up to this point, but “The Black Curtain” points in a more accessible, melodic direction.
The low-end remains thick and goopy, but the lean chord progression and driving groove of the track isn’t far removed from Lamb of God or Alice in Chains’ more alt-metal moments. The guttural vocals of Chase H. Mason, however, remain steeped in the recognizable aesthetics of death metal.
“It’s about being trapped between living and dying,” Mason said of the track via a press release. “A soul trapped in purgatory begging to be brought back by a supernatural force.”
Regarding the rest of the album, Mason added: “Many of the songs incorporate supernatural ideas with my own experiences.

"Oblivion" feels like the rare big-budget Tom Cruise vehicle that doesn't get talked about very much, despite being helmed by the A-lister's "Top Gun: Maverick" director Joseph Kosinski. The film casts Cruise as Jack Harper, a humble maintenance techie who oversees operations on Earth in the wake of an alien attack that forced humanity to abandon the planet. All is not what it seems, though, as Jack keeps having visions of a mysterious woman from his past (Olga Kurylenko), only for her to abruptly crash-land on Earth out of the blue. Basically, if you were to chuck "The Twilight Zone," "2001: A Space Odyssey," the original 1977 "Star Wars," and a handful of other '60s and '70s sci-fi titles into a blender, you might come up with something like "Oblivion."
"Oblivion" aims for a blend of big sci-fi ideas, emotional storytelling, and spectacle similar to Kosinski's feature directing debut on "Tron: Legacy,...

For his next mission, Tom Cruise is set to team with two-time Best Director winner Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu on a new project that Warner Bros. will distribute.
The news, first reported by Deadline on Thursday, comes after Cruise signed a deal with the studio earlier this year to “develop original and franchise theatrical films” starring the actor.
At the moment, no actual details about the film’s plot or subject are known publicly, but Deadline reported Cruise and Inarritu hit it off after meeting with each other to discuss the project.
Cruise has worked with some of the greatest filmmakers of all time in his legendary career, including Steven Spielberg, Martin Scorsese, Francis Ford Coppola, Ridley Scott, Tony Scott, Oliver Stone, Barry Levinson, Sydney Pollack, Brian De Palma, Cameron Crowe, Michael Mann, Stanley Kubrick, and Paul Thomas Anderson. Before Mickey Mouse there was Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, a Walt Disney character first introduced in 1927. Oswald was eventually replaced by Mickey Mouse, and the rest is history.
With the Mickey and Oswald characters now in the public domain, a handful of different horror projects have already popped up this year. And another one has been announced today.
Oswald: Down the Rabbit Hole, an upcoming horror film “depicting a sinister take on an iconic cartoon classic that encompasses the pure horror genre,” has released its teaser trailer this morning. And it’s a surprisingly effective teaser, channeling the look and feel of a classic black & white cartoon… with a horror twist. You can watch the first teaser down below.
Filmmaker and producer Lilton Stewart III and Lucinda Bruce are working with talent to finalize the roster for the film and will begin filming this spring, we’ve been told.

Does Tom Cruise still feel the need for speed? Paramount is certainly hoping that he does, now that the studio is formally moving forward with a third installment in the "Top Gun" franchise. This news comes hot on the heels of this week's announcement that the mega-star has struck a shiny new deal to produce and star in films for Warner Bros., albeit a non-exclusive one that will allow him to continue collaborating with Paramount. Then again, for all we know, WB might own Paramount before the year is done, so this might not even be a concern. These are certainly some times we're living in, aren't they?
Anyway, despite the timing of it all, The Hollywood Reporter insists that "Top Gun 3" has been "quietly" in the works since as far back as last fall during the then-ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike. "Top Gun: Maverick" co-writer Ehren Kruger is currently...

English actress-comedian Emily Atack put her baby bump on full display as she stepped out for a walk with her boyfriend. The former actress announced last weekend that she was expecting her first child with her boyfriend Alistair Garner, reports ‘Mirror.co.uk’.
The pair have known one another since they were children but their relationship in recent years blossomed into a romantic relationship.
The pair have since stepped out for the first time, walking hand-in-hand through London as they battled the cold temperatures. Comedian Emily, 34, looked chic as she wore an ankle-length black dress paired with military-style boots. Keeping warm, the star wrapped up in a black coat with a grey scarf and oversized sunglasses, in images obtained by The Sun.

Kate Winslet is striking fear into the hearts of her not-so-loyal subjects in HBO‘s The Regime teaser trailer. From Will Tracy and Frank Rich, the complex minds behind Succession, comes a limited series about power, corruption, and subterfuge.
The Regime “tells the story of one year within the walls of the palace of a modern European regime as it begins to unravel.”
“Since I became your Chancellor, we have grown considerably as a country. It is time to show America and the world precisely what we are worth,” Winslet’s Chancellor says in The Regime teaser trailer while addressing a crowd, asserting her authority. The vibes in the room quickly become hostile, eliciting fear and confusion about who’s in charge of the population’s wellbeing.

Veteran producer Jon Landau has been reminiscing about the 2019 manga adaptation, Alita: Battle Angel – and reckons Disney could be persuaded to make a sequel.
Some films – apparently at random – seem destined to make a far bigger splash once they’ve been out of cinemas for a few years. Alita: Battle Angel, the 2019 sci-fi action flick directed by Robert Rodriguez from James Cameron and Laeta Kalogridis’ script, is certainly one of them.
Though at the time it made a reasonably healthy $405m at the box office, in the years since the adaptation of Yukito Kishiro’s manga has grown a sizeable cult following. As an original, action-heavy sci-fi flick, it’s an increasingly rare beast. Like Oblivion and Edge Of Tomorrow before it, the 2010s might not have been inundated with blockbuster zippy-shooty action – but the gift of hindsight shows there’s a fair few gems that fall into the “just...

Tom Cruise has made a career out of playing action heroes. Jessica Chastain, however, was very new to the role when she was cast in The Debt. Fortunately, she was able to find inspiration from Cruise to feel believable in a very unfamiliar role.

Chastain once starred alongside Sam Worthington in the 2010 thriller The Debt. The feature saw the actor portraying the younger version of Helen Mirren’s character in the film, who was a Mossad agent. Back then, Chastain considered the feature her first official introduction to the action genre.
“I think every role is so different that I’m playing, that every role is kind of the first to introduce me. Like this is my introduction to the action-thriller genre,” she once told Vulture.

The prospect of wandering around large, expansive game worlds used to fill me with excitement. Upon escaping the tutorial dungeon for the very first time in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, I distinctly remember being overwhelmed by the sheer scale of that virtual playground rolling out before me, and the endless adventures that it tacitly promised. My awestruck 10-year-old brain couldn’t quite fathom that I was free to go in literally any direction and that, no matter which compass point I chose to follow, I was guaranteed to stumble across some memorable characters, tantalising locations or intriguing questlines.
As a kid who wasn’t yet able to buy their own games — and so usually had to wait until either Christmas or my birthday to get ahold of new releases — the idea of something having that kind of mileage seemed too good to be true. After all, I could make...

This article contains spoilers for Starfield.
Though I have some complaints about Starfield‘s RPG and exploration mechanics, I have to say that the game’s side missions are some of the best I’ve seen in a Bethesda game since Oblivion. Granted, Starfield‘s massive galaxy is filled with slightly less inspiring “kill and fetch” assignments, but I was stunned by both the quality of the majority of Starfield‘s sidequests and how many of those quests exist far enough away from the game’s vaguely beaten path to ensure you may never experience them.
While you may want to blaze through Starfield’s… serviceable campaign in order to unlock its various New Game+ benefits, I can assure you that you will not see the best that this game has to offer until you take the time to discover and complete some of the more obscure quests that often...

L.A.-via-Chicago rap poet Fatimah Nayeema Warner took off with her 2015 mixtape Telefone and her 2018 album Room 25, with a rude-girl wit all her own. As she famously boasted, “My pussy wrote a thesis on colonialism.” It’s been a long wait, but Sundial is exactly what you were praying the new Noname album would be—eloquent, furious, funny, cerebral, bristling with rage and revenge. Warner’s got a voice you can’t mistake for anyone else. And yes, she definitely showed up in a mood to talk some shit.

Noname has finally released her second studio album, Sundial. Stream the record below.
Sundial is the proper follow-up to Noname’s 2018 debut LP, Room 25, which Consequence named as one of the top albums of the 2010s. Originally, the 31-year-old rapper was going to release a record entitled Factory Baby in 2019, but she scrapped that album, writing on social media at the time that she may quit music altogether.
Thankfully, she didn’t follow through on that threat, and we get to finally dive into the world of Sundial. Spanning 10 tracks and running just over 30 minutes, the new record is lined with powerful themes and lush with features, including appearances from billy woods, Common, Jay Electronica, Eryn Allen Kane, Jimetta Rose, The Voices of Creation, Ayoni, $ilkMoney, and Stout.

It’s always fun to see some of our horror heroes appear outside of their given role as it were. We’ve seen Stephen King appear in tons of his story’s adaptations, but he also showed up in things not associated with him like Sons of Anarchy. Sure, you get athletes that try acting, some that are even successful, but how about our beloved horror hosts? Many of them only stayed on the critique end of the movie spectrum but a couple have made the jump. Joe Bob Briggs appeared in a segment of the recent Scare Package as well as a deleted scene from Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 but never got the spotlight in his own feature length film.

Even though Tom Cruise has had some major box office successes as of late, Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One is one that is surprisingly not holding up to his other recent summer hits. And while he’s had a few not-well received to mediocrely-received releases like Oblivion or The Mummy, one movie that many believe to be an underrated gem of his is the 2014 sci-fi war film Edge of Tomorrow aka Live/Die/Repeat. The film comes from Bourne Identity director Doug Liman and co-starred Emily Blunt as Rita, as someone who would train Cruise’s character in the mech-suit.
The film debuted to less-than-stellar numbers, and anything involving adding to it for a franchise has not been moving forward. The film has achieved a kind of cult status, and there could be some groundwork for a follow-up if enough noise is made. According to The Hollywood Reporter,...

It's heartbreaking to think of all the movies that never made it to the screen. We keep hearing stories of projects collecting dust, incomplete due to unexpected tragedy, or a lack of funds, or a greedy studio executive cutting corners for tax purposes. But every now and then, a long-dead film is exhumed from the grave and is given new life to be enjoyed by a new generation of fans. Case in point: The Primevals, a fantasy adventure more than 50 years in the making that finally got to celebrate its world premiere at this year's Fantasia Film Festival.
The Primevals was first conceived in 1967 by stop motion animator David Allen, whose credits include the adult parody Flesh Gordon, Larry Cohen's Q – the Winged Serpent, and Alex Winter's Freaked. For more than a decade, an early draft of the script was shopped around to various studios, until 1978 when...

Match #1: Gunther def. Matt Riddle The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
With the rest of his Imperium teammates barred from ringside, Intercontinental Champion Gunther took on Matt Riddle in a non-title match. Gunther and Riddle traded submission attempts to start the match, with Gunther applying a sleeper hold followed by a triangle hold attempt by Riddle. Riddle’s early momentum was derailed by a huge chop from The Ring General, followed by a body slam onto the mat outside of the ring. As Gunther beat down Riddle, The Original Bro withstood the punishment, attempting to get the victory after a ripcord knee. Gunther did not need Ludwig Kaiser and Giovanni Vinci with him, defeating The Original Bro a huge Powerbomb.

Tom Cruise and Christopher McQuarrie on the set of Mission: Impossible Dead Reckoning – Part One from Paramount Pictures and Skydance.
On September 6, 2020, the first day of principal photography on Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One, Tom Cruise drove a motorbike off a mountain. Specifically, he drove a custom-made Honda Crf 250 off a purpose-built ramp on the side of Norway’s Helsetkopen mountain, a vertiginous rock face sat some 1,200 meters above sea level. Then he plunged 4,000 feet into the ravine below before opening his parachute barely 500 feet from the ground.
When he landed, director, Christopher Mc Quarrie, and the small crew of his Mission co-stars who had assembled to watch the seminal cinematic sequence from the safety of video village, breathed a collective sigh of relief. Then Cruise picked himself up and did it all again another seven times, just to make sure the footage was perfect.

Welcome to this review of WWE’s 2023 Money in the Bank pay per view, which kicked off with the titular match – at least the men’s version of the event… so let’s get into it!
Match #1: Men’s Money in the Bank – Damian Priest def. Logan Paul, Shinsuke Nakamura, Ricochet, Santos Escobar, Butch and LA Knight The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
The Judgment Day’s reign of terror just became even more dangerous as Damian Priest scaled the ladder to become Señor Money in the Bank, guaranteeing himself a future championship match whenever he chooses. The action was chaotic as every Superstar battled for themselves, but not before they teamed up to teach Logan Paul a quick lesson in respect. With ladders and tables strategically placed throughout the ring and ringside area, the carnage was taken to a whole new level when Ricochet hit a Spanish...
