Exclusive: Sarah Lind (A Wounded Fawn) is the newest addition to The Necklace, the indie horror flick from director Juan Pablo Arias Munoz that’s shooting in Atlanta. As previously announced, Jacob Moran, Madeleine McGraw, Violet McGraw and Felix Solis will also star.
Written by John Ducey, The Necklace watches as the Davis family navigates through tough times in 1960. As Laura returns to work as a nurse, her daughters, 11-year-old Ellen (Violet McGraw) and 16-year-old Judy (Madeleine McGraw), grapple with the changes in their family dynamics. The plot thickens when Frank attempts to win Laura back with a beautiful antique necklace, which turns out to be a conduit for the tormented soul of an evil boy from long ago, putting Laura and her daughters in grave danger.

“I don’t think you can judge that from Barbie not getting nominated,” said Rep. Adam Schiff (D-ca) tonight to Bill Maher when asked by the host if the snub of the blockbuster’s director Greta Gerwig and star Margot Robbie in the Oscars nominations means America is a patriarchy or not.
When Maher tried to link the Barbie discussion to Hillary Clinton’s failed 2016 campaign, Schiff put things in real perspective on Real Time. “I would vote for a corned beef sandwich over Donald Trump,” he quipped to applause don’t say that lightly, but at least a corned beef sandwich would have some intelligence and wouldn’t be a dictator on Day one.”
Just days after a full debate between the leading candidates for California’s open Senate seat, Rep. Schiff found himself in the slightly warm seat again tonight on HBO’s Real Time with Bill Maher.

For more than three decades, Alabama public interest attorney Bryan Stevenson has advocated on behalf of the poor, the incarcerated and the condemned, seeking to eradicate racial discrimination in the criminal justice system. Now HBO Documentary Films is telling his story.
Set to premiere June 26 on the premium cable channel, True Justice: Bryan Stevenson’s Fight for Equality follows the Equal Justice Initiative founder-director’s struggle to create greater fairness in the system and shows how racial injustice emerged, evolved and continues to threaten the country, challenging viewers to confront it.
Told primarily in his own words, True Justice shares Stevenson’s experience with a criminal justice system that, he asserts, “treats you better if you’re rich and guilty than if you’re poor and innocent.” The burden of facing this system is explored in candid interviews with associates, close family members and clients.

The director of Mercenary: Absolution talks to us about international appeal, tough guys, and all things Seagal...
I’m Den of Geek’s go to guy for Steven Seagal movies and, as such, was very excited when the opportunity to interview Keoni Waxman arose. He’s directed six movies that have starred Seagal and worked on the TV series True Justice with the big man.
Not only was I excited to speak to Waxman because I like his films, I thought he’d be an interesting interview subject. While I understand that interviews with big Hollywood stars are more popular, I felt like I would have a chance to speak to someone that many Den of Geek readers wouldn’t know much about, and that he’d be able to offer us an interesting perspective on a part of the film industry that we don’t have much access to.

See Channing Tatum go rogue this Saturday on Reelz
It's exciting to watch TV shows and movies where the police officers doggedly pursue every lead and put together a by-the-book, airtight case to bring the bad guys to justice. But, it's often far more thrilling to watch the exploits of cops who toss the book out the window and go rogue in pursuit of justice. Sometimes cops go rogue because they work in a corrupt department, but usually they're just guys who know that they can't get the job done by playing by the rules.
What we want to know is which movie has the best rogue cop. Turn on your police scanner, grab a donut and help us choose the movie cops who make going rogue look good. For more rogue-cop action, be sure to watch Son of No One starring Channing Tatum Saturday on Reelz at 8p Et/ 5p Pt.

It's never a bad time to start making plans for the zombie apocalypse. After all, it's not like the undead are going to give us notice before they start climbing out of the ground and trying to eat our brains. So we decided we'd organize our team and figure out which Reelz characters we're calling dibs on for when the undead begin to rise. With the group we've put together, those zombies don’t stand a chance.
Yossi Dina (Beverly Hills Pawn)
Undoubtedly, Yossi’s masterful negotiating skills will come in handy when we run across other teams trying to survive the apocalypse. But more importantly Yossi’s experience as and Army Captain and Intelligence Officer will be priceless. We’re pretty sure both his fighting and survival skills are all but limitless.
Weapon of choice: Charming personality that can disarm anyone.

About Nadine de Barros and her new venture international sales agent Fortitude International.
Veteran foreign sales agent Nadine de Barros, financier/producer Daniel Wagner (Kill The Trumpet Player, Young Ones) and producer Robert Ogden Barnum (All Is Lost, Lawless) have partnered to launch Fortitude International, a new sales and financing outfit based in Los Angeles. De Barros will be meeting with film buyers at the upcoming European Film Market at the Berlinale.
De Barros most recently served as Head of Sales at Aldamisa International, and was previously Vice President of Sales and Acquisitions at Voltage Pictures. She has handled sales on such films as Sin City 2, Chef and Machete Kills as well as The Hurt Locker, Don Jon and Killer Joe.
In addition to sales, Fortitude will also fully finance projects, and will be actively looking to produce strong, commercial and director driven material immediately. The company will finance and sell 10-15 movies a year and has at its disposal equity, bridge and senior debt capabilities.
Fortitude will also focus on sourcing and financing television series and miniseries.
De Barros has always had a foot in television and previously sold TNT’s Leverage, The Triangle on SyFy, True Justice on Reelz and most recently SAF3.
“I am thrilled to be working with Daniel and Rob as we build Fortitude into a full-service international sales and financing company. I’m also very excited about our forthcoming slate of projects, both film and television series and miniseries,” said de Barros.
“Through Fortitude International, we have created a company that will provide important services and support not just for our personal slate of films, but to our present and future producing partners as well. I'm excited to partner with such talented and dedicated individuals on this new venture,” said Wagner.
“As financiers, Nadine brings us the international market knowledge that is so imperative to us when evaluating projects. Fortitude will be a haven for filmmakers and artists to make creatively and commercially successful films,” said Barnum.
Wagner’s La-based production and finance company BiFrost Pictures launched last year at Cannes and has recently greenlit high profile projects including the Miles Davis biography Kill The Trumpet Player, which will star and be directed by Don Cheadle. Other projects include Jake Paltrow’s Sundance entry Young Ones with Michael Shannon and Nicholas Hoult, Paul Bettany’s directorial debut Shelter starring Jennifer Connelly and Anthony Mackie, the romantic comedy We’LL Never Have Paris from director and star Simon Helberg, and The World Made Straight which stars Noah Wiley, Haley Joel Osment and Minka Kelly.
Robert Ogden Barnum, also a producer on Kill the Trumpet Player and Shelter, is a co-founder of the financing firm e2b Capital with Cassian Elwes, and most recently executive produced All Is Lost starring Robert Redford and directed by Jc Chandor. Other recent projects include Lawless, starring Shia Labeouf and Tom Hardy and Chandor’s first film Margin Call, starring Kevin Spacey. Barnum has also served as an executive, overseeing operations and strategy of both Benaroya Pictures and Annapurna Pictures, both major independent film financiers.

Steven Seagal is a man of many talents, and everyone knows he's a martial artist, a movie star, and a producer. But in addition to those things he is also an experienced law enforcement officer, a musician, a director, and a writer. But really, what we love best about him is still the acting. Seagal is a tough, straightforward, no-nonsense guy who plays direct, serious, and pragmatic characters, but he still has the chops to make it through just about any type of scene. We've put together a collection of photographs displaying Seagal's emotional range, and it's nothing short of impressive. For even more Seagal action on Reelz be sure to watch Steven Seagal: Lawman Thursdays at 11pm Et/Pt and catch True Justice weekdays at 1pm Et/Pt.

The fourth in our End of the World movie series, Delete, premiered Monday, but there are more chances to watch this week. Once again the world is in jeopardy, and this time around it's a malicious artificial intelligence that's to blame. As is the case for many of our Reelz movie events, the cast is full of familiar faces. As is often the case for familiar faces, sometimes it leaves you with that nagging “what else have I seen them in?” feeling. So here it is: our guide to what else you’ve seen them in.

Tearing up the rulebook, Kane and his crack team of law enforcers storm the city streets to clean out the drug barons by any brutal means necessary.
Let’s clear something up from the outset – Deadly Crossing is actually the pilot movie for Steven Seagal’s new television series Southern Justice, aka True Justice (as it is billed on the title card of the movie) and was originally titled Russian Crossing. There's no doubt about it; actor Steven Seagal has more than a few things in common with his True Justice character Elijah Kane. They're both martial artists as well as expert marksmen, and they're both well versed in alternative medicine. In an episode of True Justice season two, Kane concocts an antibiotic tea to help Sarah ward off an infection. In this week's episode of the reality series Lawman, Seagal's knowledge of Chinese medicine similarly helps a wounded officer. After a lengthy chase, one of Seagal's fellow cops is suffering from a knee injury, and Seagal steps in and takes him to an acupuncturist. Though the officer is skeptical, he comes to believe in the powers of alternative medicine.

As a kid, I was a big fan of Steven Seagal. I absolutely loved all of his earlier movies, especially Above the Law, Hard To Kill and Out for Justice. So I’m only to happy to give a plug to a contest thats happening on Facebook, to tie in with Deadly Crossing that’s just being released on Redbox. You can win yourself a whole host of cool Seagal stuff! In exchange for posting their best Steven Seagal action pose, fans earn the chance to win an Aikidogi, Mma fight gloves, or a wooden bokken signed by Seagal. The comp is on Facebook and you can find it by clicking here...

In anticipation of the Steven Seagal movie “Deadly Crossing,” which hits Redbox the team has created a “Are You As Tough As Seagal” contest.

Steven Seagal does not hold back when it comes to on-screen martial-arts action, as has been demonstrated by his show True Justice and the wince-inducing beatdowns that it features every week. But it turns out that we weren't the only ones interested in documenting Seagal's epic bone-crunching moves, because the kids over at FilmDrunk put together a supercut that documents every time a low-life baddie's bone has been broken in a Seagal movie. The total number of broken bones is remarkable, and it definitely convinces us to stay on Steven's good side.

In the second season of Steven Seagal's True Justice, Elijah Kane's team has been busy hunting down The Ghost — the drug dealing, money laundering villain who was responsible for the deaths of three of the deputies who worked under Kane. But who is The Ghost? Is he really an enemy who stays hidden in the shadows or is it possible that The Ghost has been hiding in plain sight?
Truth be told, we have no idea who The Ghost is, but it's fun to speculate. Let us know what you think: is The Ghost as hidden in the criminal underworld as Kane believes him to be or is he (she?) someone we know?
