Exclusive: Jennifer Love Hewitt (9-1-1) is starring in, directing and executive producing Lifetime’s The Holiday Junkie (wt). The film, inspired by Hewitt’s personal relationship with the holiday and the loss of her mother, is positioned as a tentpole of the network’s 2024 It’s a Wonderful Lifetime movie slate.
This marks Hewitt’s return to Lifetime. She headlined and produced the hit 2010 original movie The Client List. Its success spawned a TV series, also starring and executive produced by Hewitt, which ran for two seasons.
The Holiday Junkie (wt) will be a family affair, with Hewitt’s husband, Brian Hallisay, co-starring and their children will also appearing in the film.
It follows the decorating and planning service company run by Andie (Hewitt) and her mother Mimi. After Mimi passes away, Andie is forced to face her first Christmas without her mother and carry The Holiday Junkie torch on her own.

Hollywood icon Betty White is 96 years old but she didn't let her age slow her down when she recently enjoyed a girls night out with her The Lost Valentine co-star Jennifer Love Hewitt. Jennifer shared the hilarious story about her and Betty's crazy evening during a new episode of the Late Late Show With James Corden — and she revealed that the night involved drinks, food, and good company! "She loves pizza and vodka so one night we were filming, and we went out and I was like, 'Oh my gosh, I’m going on a date with Betty White.' It’s the most nervous date I’ve ever been on in my life," Jennifer, 39, joked, adding that the two stars ended up going to a nearby restaurant for food but left having one drink too many. Dick Van Dyke, with whom Moore had co-starred in The Dick Van Dyke Show in the early '60s, presented her with the Screen Actors Guild Life Achievement Award. (Photo by John Shearer/WireImage.) The 75-year-old Moore, who has suffered from a series of health ailments including diabetes and brain surgery to remove a benign tumor last year, looked quite frail while accepting her trophy. She was greeted by the longest standing ovation of the evening. Her acceptance speech was about how there were too many Mary Moores already registered with SAG back in the 1950s. As a result, she decided to use her father's middle name, Tyler, as part of her own show business moniker. Moore — whose television heyday was in...

Last night was the 18th annual Screen Actors Guild Awards, and as usual there were ups and downs for everyone involved, but it was mostly unsurprising and very similar to last years winners.
Modern Family and Boardwalk Empire did very well for themselves, while veterans Alec Baldwin and Betty White also took home the gold. Overall, it was an uneventful but successful evening for everyone involved, and there were no major upsets, tacking on Jessica Lange from American Horror Story as this years most unique winner. Also, Mary Tyler Moore received a lifetime achievement award from Dick Van Dyke which was a pretty incredible thing for TV fans everywhere. Anyway, here is a list of the TV winners from the 18th annal SAG awards.

Whilst we were sleeping last night, the 18th annual Screen Actors Guild Awards were held out in L.A., one of a handful of awards ceremonies that have proven useful in the past in the predictions ahead of the Academy Awards, coming this year on 26th February.
Tate Taylor’s The Help had four nominations, and took home three of the top prizes (and since two of its nominations were in the same category, I’d say the film did a pretty good job).
Viola Davis and Octavia Spencer both won in their respective Leading and Support Female Actor categories, and very interestingly, the film beat the likes of The Artist, The Descendants, Bridesmaids, and Midnight in Paris in the Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture category, the top prize of the night.
This could potentially throw the Oscars open, at least a little, with both The Artist...

"The Help" just received more help from the Screen Actors Guild, propelling the Oscar-nominated flick on top of the heap. Viola Davis took home the Best Actress trophy while Octavia Spencer won the Best Supporting Actress award. "The Help" also received the Best Acting Ensemble award at the 18th Annual SAG Awards.
It's a fitting recognition for a film that has a stronger cast rather than a powerful script or direction. When I first saw the film, my complaint was the by-the-numbers script, but I praised the acting ensemble for they rose above and beyond the screenplay.
Meanwhile, Jean Dujardin of "The Artist" surprised everyone by winning the Best Actor award. I honestly thought that George Clooney from "The Descendants" would win the trophy, but alas. This just made the Best Actor Oscar category totally unpredictable!
And I love that Christopher Plummer won the Best Supporting Actor award for "Beginners.

Photo: Screen Actors Guild Tonight the Screen Actors Guild handed out the 2012 Screen Actors Guild Awards and it was a night that offered very few surprises though there was that one moment that caught me off guard. To begin, The Help took home all three awards it was expected to win with Viola Davis winning Best Actress, Octavia Spencer winning Best Supporting Actress and the cast winning for Best Ensemble. Looking at these results I think you'd be pretty foolish to bet against Davis or Spencer at the Oscars in February, though I don't think this means anything for the film's Best Picture chances. However, one film's Oscar chances got yet another leg up tonight. George Clooney was the clear front-runner in the Best Actor category for The Descendants, but he did not take home the award as Jean Dujardin won for The Artist, giving the film its second bump...

Talk about deja vu. Sunday’s 18th annual Screen Actors Guild Awards was virtually a rerun of last year, with the ensembles from Boardwalk Empire and Modern Family once again picking up top honors.
Three of the four individual acting winners — Alec Baldwin, Betty White and Steve Buscemi — were also repeats. Only Jessica Lange broke up the monotony by taking home the best actress trophy for American Horror Story.

When it comes to the red carpet arrivals, you can watch the SAG Awards 2012 live-streaming online on TNT on Sunday, January 29, beginning at 3 p.m. Pt/6 p.m. Et. The Associated Press will have its own live coverage here. (You must RSVP by providing your email address.) And at the bottom of this article we've embedded a SAG Awards' live-stream feed of the red carpet arrivals. Now, much like with the Golden Globes, watching the actual SAG Awards ceremony online will take some trial and error. For now, possible sites where you may be able to watch the SAG Awards online are TV.com (they have a SAG Awards feed page), UStream.com, livestream.com, rentadrone.tv, and Justin.tv. Those websites will quite possibly offer user-generated streams showing the ceremony. Just bear in mind that many of those feeds may be both of dubious legality and poor quality. Make...

The SAG Awards, as we have noted, often have a curious way of letting us know what the Oscars are going to deliver. So when the Screen Actors Guild doled out its golden statuettes on Sunday night (January 29), we couldn't help but feel there were more than a few hints at how the Academy Awards might shake out in a few weeks.
What are we to make of the upset SAG win for "The Help" in outstanding cast in a movie, for instance? Where does this leave "The Artist," which had been looking increasingly, inevitably like the big champ come Oscar night, yet only won outstanding male performance (Jean Dujardin) at the SAGs?

Jennifer Love Hewitt has officially found a new starring vehicle for her next major TV gig after "Ghost Whisperer" was canceled last year. Lifetime picks up "The Client List", a new hourlong series starring and executive produced by the 32-year-old beauty.
The show is based on the network's 2010 original movie of the same title which also has Hewitt as lead star and executive producer. It features the "I Know What You Did Last Summer" actress as a financially-strapped Texas housewife who runs a lively day spa after she is abandoned by her husband.
The series will follow her as she balances two different lives: one as a single mom in a conservative town struggling to provide for her family, and the other as an ambitious businesswoman working with a rowdy, sexy and unpredictable group of women.

Betty White cannot believe her recent run of luck, winning a fifth primetime Emmy last year for hosting "SNL" and being a strong contender this year for her supporting roles on the sitcom "Hot in Cleveland" and the telefilm The Lost Valentine." Chatting by phone with senior editors Rob Licuria and Chris Beachum she admitted, "I'm going to be 90 next January, and I'm blessed with good health for which I'm deeply grateful. To have all this good stuff happen, and I'm still having the same kind of fun I've had for the last 63 years in the business. You've got to taste that and appreciate it." White earned the first of her 16 Emmy bids back in 1951 for the laffer "Life with Elizabeth." She lost to Gertrude Berg who was reprising her radio role as Molly Golberg on "The Goldbergs." White went on to win back-to-back Comedy Supporting Actress for "The Mary Tyler Moore Show" (1975, 1976). White wa.

If it’s not the hottest female role for next fall, it’s certainly among the top 5: NBC and Warner Bros. are currently on the lookout for an actress who’s popular, tough, gorgeous and sympathetic enough to play the classic comic book character in the network’s much-anticipated reboot. Easy, peasey: One on every corner of Hollywood, right?
Not exactly.
ABC didn’t make it any easier by locking up three 20-something beauties for its redo of Charlie’s Angels – another project that demands leads that are both likable and strong enough to carry such an important franchise.

On Sunday, it will be one year since Betty White stormed into pop culture with a memorable Super Bowl ad at last year's Super Bowl, which led to a Saturday Night Live hosting gig, a hit sitcom, awards and more. A year later, the Betty White express is not slowing down. Last night, at age 89, she won her first comedy actress SAG Award for TV Land's Hot in Cleveland and delivered CBS' best TV movie ratings in years. The Lost Valentine (2.3/6 in 18-49, 14.5 million viewers) marked a big rebound for The Hallmark Hall of Fame franchise, which has been languishing in the ratings, drawing the largest audience since Jan. 2007 (Valley of Light) and highest 18-49 and 25-54 ratings since Dec. 2008. (Front of the Class). Appropriately, Betty White faced NFL competition, the 2011 Nfc-afc Pro Bowl on Fox (7:30-10:30 Pm), which won the night with a 7.7/12 rating in 18-49 and 13.4 million viewers,...

Sometimes you just need a little Hallmark Hall of Fame brand romance on a Sunday night. On Jan. 30, CBS premieres "The Lost Valentine," in which Jennifer Love Hewitt plays a reporter assigned to profile a World War II widow, played by Betty White - who, by the way, took home a Screen Actors Guild award for best comedic TV actress on the same night.
The film centers on the Valentine's Day theme -- every year on Feb. 14, White's character Caroline returns to the train station where she bid goodbye to the love of her life 65 years earlier. Caroline was pregnant with his child when he left - a child he never met, at his plane went missing over the Pacific.
As Hewitt's character, Susan, tries to discover what really happened to the naval pilot, she finds herself in a love story of her own, with Caroline's grandson Lucas (Sean Faris...

hollywoodnews.com: As I was leaving the Hallmark Of Fame reception at 20th Century Fox’ commissary, a studio guard wished me a good night to which I replied, “I can die now, I’ve met Betty White.”
You have to understand that I grew up knowing about Betty White, though my earliest recollection of her was as a TV personality, not the wonderful actress she is as well. The Betty White I knew and adored alongside most of America was a ubiquitous panelist on game shows, did TV commercials and occasionally filled in as host of The Tonight Show and other talk venues.
It wasn’t until they were casting The Mary Tyler Moore Show in the early seventies that her career took off like a rocket as she approached fifty. They wanted a cooking show hostess who could evoke a warm, sunny personality on TV, but...

Jennifer Love Hewitt has recalled her first meeting with The Lost Valentine co-star Betty White. The actress told Tuesday's The Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson that she became a fan of White the instant they met on the upcoming Hallmark Hall of Fame movie. "She's amazing - I love her. The first day when we were in the trailer she didn't say anything to me for the first few minutes. She sort of walked in, sat on a chair and - looking dead straight ahead - said, 'So, what's it like to not be the pretty one in the trailer anymore?'" recounted Love Hewitt. "I loved it!" The 31-year-old also spoke about the movie, based on the novel by James Michael Pratt, (more)...

Serial dater Jennifer Love Hewitt has played a few rom-com heroines, and we fear that it may be bleeding into her real life.
How else to explain her confession that she has three -- really, three -- wedding rings already picked out for whenever her guy proposes?
Hewitt, who stars in the CBS movie "The Lost Valentine" on Sunday (Jan. 30), is a guest on Tuesday's "Ellen DeGeneres Show," where she reveals that she's zeroed in on a trio of engagement ring designs from Tiffany -- and that she's doing it because, you know, she doesn't want her future fiance to get too stressed. Because, sure, telling a guy before you get engaged that you have rings picked out already will totally set him at ease.
Here's their exchange on the subject:
Ellen: Is this correct, you have a ring picked out for when you get married?
Jennifer: Well, I actually...

Betty White says that in one way, at least, once is enough.

Jennifer Love Hewitt knows, especially given her name, that she'll always be linked to romance.
Last year, the former "Ghost Whisperer" star became an author with the relationship memoir "The Day I Shot Cupid," and she made headlines again for having a new beau ... actor-director Alex Beh. Hewitt's next television project reaffirms her ties to love: She stars with Betty White in the "Hallmark Hall of Fame" drama "The Lost Valentine" Sunday, Jan. 30, on CBS.
"I definitely tend to gravitate toward things that have romance in them," Hewitt confirms to Zap2it. "I had a lot of fun writing the book, and I really would like to write another one at some point, though I'm not sure when I'll be able to do that. I learned some things from people who read the book, and I learned some things about myself on the book tour. I feel I have some things to say about that.

New York — What Betty White did in 2010 doesn't usually happen: an 88-year-old actress with more than six decades in Hollywood suddenly became the object of adulation of the Facebook-connected masses, which campaigned for her to host "Saturday Night Live," boosting the show's ratings and helping her set ratings records for her own show.
After a year remarkable for a star of any age, White has been voted the Entertainer of the Year by members of The Associated Press.
"It's ridiculous," White says of the honor, in an interview from her home in Los Angeles. "They haven't caught on to me, and I hope they never do."
But more than acclaim, her unlikely, age-defying success resonated deeply with people who saw in her a spirited, hilarious aberration, a woman not dimmed by age but enhanced by it: The genuine article in a pop culture awash in imitators.
