Young Sheldon is coming to an end this season but the franchise will live on at CBS. The network is closing in on a straight-to-series order to a multi-camera spinoff of Young Sheldon from the series’ executive producers Steve Holland, Steven Molaro and Chuck Lorre and studio Warner Bros Television, sources tell Deadline. The new series will center on the characters of Georgie Cooper and his fiancée Mandy McAllister, played on the show by Montana Jordan and Emily Osment, respectively.
I hear deals with Jordan and Osment are still being worked out but the duo are expected to reprise their roles in the spinoff, which is poised to get a 13-episode order for the 2024-25 season. Reps for CBS and Wbtv declined comment.

So long Carly: Paramount+ has decided not to renew the revival for a fourth season.
“The series had a great three-season run and delivered on what fans really wanted to see with Carly and Freddie finally getting together,” said a Paramount+ spokesperson. “We want to thank the entire cast, the writers, directors and producers along with the whole crew for their dedication, creativity and talent.”
iCarly stars Miranda Cosgrove as Carly, Jerry Trainor as Spencer, Nathan Kress as Freddie, Laci Mosley as Harper and Jaidyn Triplett as Millicent. The revival launched in June 2021. It picked up nearly 10 years after the original Nickelodeon show ended, finding Carly, the original influencer, and her friends navigating work, love and family now as adults.
The original iCarly series, produced by Nickelodeon, ran from 2007-12. Starring Cosgrove, Trainor, Kress and Jennette McCurdy, it followed a group of best friends creating a webcast while grappling with everyday problems and adventures.

Not everyone goes by their given name. As it turns out, one of our favorite soap opera stars isn’t exactly who fans may have thought. Here is why The Bold and the Beautiful actor Matthew Atkinson doesn’t use his real first name.
Matthew Atkinson of ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ has gone by a different name since he was a kid
Most people have definitely thought of what they would change their name to if given the chance. Atkinson, who portrays Thomas Forrester on the soap opera, is no exception. Like his character on The Bold and the Beautiful, the actor wouldn’t be opposed to the name Thomas, which he describes as a “great name.”
However, this won’t likely happen anytime soon since the handsome actor has actually been called Matthew since he was a kid.

How Tisha Campbell and Yvette Nicole Brown Pushed Kym Whitley to Board Alyson Fouse’s ‘Act Your Age’
Up against a ticking clock, Kym Whitley had to make a quick decision of whether she would join Alyson Fouse’s latest sitcom “Act Your Age.” She was on the fence as the final cast member to round out the trio — that is, until she received a call from her soon-to-be castmates and longtime friends Yvette Nicole Brown and Tisha Campbell.
The “Young & Hungry” alum hilariously recounted the story during the Bounce TV show’s red carpet premiere on Monday night at The London Hotel in West Hollywood.
Around the time of a Jewish holiday weekend some time ago, Whitley said she received a call from her agents asking her to give them a definite answer on Fouse’s offer. There wasn’t much time to consider the request as the show was scheduled to begin production the following week.

Exclusive: We’ll be seeing more of Javier in Fantasy Island. John Gabriel Rodriquez, who recurred as the character in Season 1, has been promoted to series regular for the upcoming second season of Fox’s contemporary version of the classic drama series.
Starring Roselyn Sanchez and Kiara Barnes, Fantasy Island takes place at a luxury resort, where literally any fantasy requested by guests is fulfilled, although they rarely turn out as expected. Delving into the “what if” questions — both big and small — that keep us awake at night, each episode will tell emotional, provocative stories about people who arrive with dreams and desires.
Rugged, handsome and charismatic, Javier (Rodriquez) is Fantasy Island’s head of transport – a pilot, mechanic and jack of all trades. While the island provides Javier refuge, as with everything else it offers, it may come at the price of a reckoning.

The Bold and the Beautiful star Kiara Barnes has been cast as a series regular and John Gabriel Rodriquez (If Loving You Is Wrong) as heavily recurring in Fantasy Island, Fox’s contemporary version of the classic drama series that has a straight-to-series order to air this summer. The project hails from writer-producers Liz Craft and Sarah Fain as well as Sony Pictures TV and its Gemstone Studios label, which co-produce with Fox Entertainment.
Actress-singer Barnes has been tapped for Fantasy Island as she is finishing her last year on CBS’ long-running daytime drama The Bold and the Beautiful, Deadline has learned. Barnes, who has played Zoe Buckingham since 2018, will be wrapping production on the soap soon.
The reboot is keeping the semi-anthological format of the original Fantasy Island with three main characters, two played by Barnes and Rodriquez, who live/work on the island and new guests arriving in every episode.

Television has reunited many a long-lost group of siblings over the years — shows like Charmed and Sister, Sister come to mind — but Fox’s Almost Family manages to make that familiar concept feel fresh. And also gross.
The new drama, which premiered Wednesday, stars Timothy Hutton (American Crime) as Leon Bechley, a distinguished fertility expert — sorry, “scientist” — whose reputation is destroyed when it’s revealed that he impregnated an undisclosed number of patients (hundreds?!) using his own sperm without their knowledge. No one is more disturbed by this revelation than Julia (American Dreams‘ Brittany Snow), Leon’s only on-record daughter,...

Fox has released the trailers for its new fall 2019 TV shows, and a few series that will premiere at midseason, too.
Now you can get your first look at the “unusual family” dramedy “Not Just Me,” starring Brittany Snow, the Greg Berlanti-produced serial-killer drama, “Prodigal Son,” and Kristen Wiig’s new animated series, “Bless the Harts,” all of which will debut at the start of Fox’s upcoming year.
There are also previews for these new shows, which will premiere in the colder months: the David Ayer-created cop drama, “Deputy,” the John Slattery-led tech-centric thriller, “neXt,” Kim Cattrall’s Southern Gothic dramedy, “Filthy Rich, and family sitcom “Outmatched,” starring Jason Biggs.

We already knew going into the 2019-20 season that there would be some big changes at Fox.
With the network becoming an independent network, it was evident there would be some big swings.
Empire, which has spent its first five seasons on Wednesdays is being moved to Tuesdays for its final (!) season.
It will be paired with The Resident, which is leaving its Monday at 8/7c slot.

9-1-1 will move to an hour earlier and will lead into new fall drama, Prodigal Son. The move is not surprising.
The Resident has proven to be a resilient performer, so the audience should follow it to the new night.
The Masked Singer will fill in for Empire on Wednesdays and will lead into Jason Katims' new drama, Not Just Me.
With WWE Smackdown taking Fridays, there's no word on when Last Man Standing...
