Bad acting - Done with this show

Warning: Spoilers
Going to stop watching this Part 2 because the cast is just grating on my nerves. Are we really supposed to care that Lucas and Margot have relationship troubles when they barely were a couple in part 1? And don't get me started on Issac. He is so completely devoid of any character. All he does is whine. And this whole love triangle between the three is so unbelievable. After the first 3 episodes of the show, I already lost interest. But having been a fan of Goosebumps in my younger years, thought I should give this show a try. But it's just become dreadful since then. The writing is so bad. The actors are worse.

I really tried to give this series a chance and continue on, but this was the last straw. An utter embarrassment to the property.

After the first five episodes, I really was mixed on just about everything with the show so many cons yet a couple shreds of ambitious elements kept my attention then when Slappy finally came around, even though he should've been included from the get-go, my interest peaked and I thought the show is getting on track. The last three episodes have been nothing short of dreadful, and the Biddle story has gone off the rails completely as well as the writing. I don't even think I can watch the finale. The show belongs on the CW and the writers should be ashamed of themselves for butchering a classic property.

Why ... ?

So this episode could have been a semi-decent start to a new season: exploring Nathan Bratt's history, with some fairly strong character motivations that lead to bad decisions. But it's a weird move to start this arc after a fairly conclusive episode 8.

Bratt's story is at least moderately interesting, and Justin Long has great screen presence. The evolving teen romance-drama, on the other hand, is just tedious. They're obviously going for the same vibe Stranger Things attempted in S3, though that was equally tedious. Yet Stranger Things had far more interesting characters than the rather flat five we have here.

Overall, this entire season could probably have been done in 6 strong episodes, rather than a needlessly protracted 10.

Warning: Spoilers
I thought the series was going in the right direction. For the last episode we have given the best possible closure to each arc. There wasn't much to do anymore. However, in this chapter you can see that they remembered that they had two other confirmed chapters and to fill it out they added this crude and silly justification. The script was terrible. The justification for why the teacher returns to Slappy doesn't make any sense. To get a better ending for his book, does he invoke the creature that violated him all season? What nonsense.

And Lucas being sad about Margot moving to Seattle is understandable. However, when they go on a weekend trip to Seattle, I won't tolerate leaving their city, it makes them very stupid. Just an implausible script conflict to create more material.

Horrible.

Onmy because the script allows us to address the plot of Horrorland.

This seemed interesting and intriguing at times, but it delved too far in the drama with the kids. I get that the teen core is a key part of the show and their journey amidst all this craziness is the main point, but we don't need all the angst and the breakups and the will they or won't they. Save that for Sam and Diane on Cheers.

But the ending upped the ante and let us know there is a new and even worse danger there. You just have to question how stupid Mr. Bratt could possibly be. Who would be that desperate just to write a successful book that they would unleash all of this evil on the world?
