- TriviaThe victim and perpetrator are modeled after the May 11, 2022 murder of professional cyclist Anna Moriah "Mo" Wilson in Austin, Texas, by Kaitlin Marie Armstrong, a yoga instructor and realtor. The motive for the fatal shooting was romantic jealousy. She was apprehended in Costa Rica by the U.S. Marshals forty-three days after fleeing. Armstrong's trial for first-degree murder began October 30, 2023. On November 16, she was found guilty. She received a 90-year prison sentence, with eligibility for parole after 30 years.
- GoofsThe team travels to Breezy Point to interview the sister of the perpetrator, at her place of business. Much later in the story, the team is called to Philadelphia, to examine the dump site, which in turn is actually across the street from said business.

Mavis' Father: Yeah. It's called confirmation bias. You see it on the news all the time. You people make up your mind about a case, and then you find every little thing you can to back it up. Keeps you from seeing the truth.

Convenient writing!
Not even going into the details of this juvenile episode ...even tho there is nothing to 'spoil' !
But the man turns his back to the fugitive, for no reason, as he makes the 911 call!! Really??
The cause of death is 'drowning' ... of course there is no blunt force trauma to the back of the head ... coz she has only smashed his head with a rock!!!!
Can the writing get more childish and convenient ?
And then there is the reporter who has used Remy earlier... and he decides to trust her again? Why? Its not like they have already hit a dead-end and he is desperate... and these are experts, people who won't take anything at face value.
Episodes like these need a script consultant!!
