The first 2 episodes are as cliché as cliché can be. But the the tongue in cheek acting of Mrs Basset, Hinds and Britton makes endearing and funny. It's a TV serie not a philosophical essay chill and enjoy

Horrible portrayal of the therapist

Warning: Spoilers
Why do shows often portray the therapist as a young attractive female who will sleep with any cute client? This goes against everything we stand for! She would get her license revoked. You could have shown him getting help for his trauma which is what therapists really do...
Season 1 is a fever dream

Okay so, I don't like this episode because of the storyline with Buck's therapist. So that clouds my opinion quite a bit. Putting that storyline aside, it's not the worst episode, it's still season 1 they're still trying to find their footing. The end of the episode with May breaks my heart, Athena's reaction, Angela Bassett is next level

Tried a second episode, "just in case" but actually worse than the awful Pilot. I really should have stopped at the "looking for a long term relationship" (after death one) when the cook said it's "more like a one-night stand"
