Spoilers

The Parents Guide items below may give away important plot points.

Sex & Nudity

  • A young woman is shown undressing, no nudity. She's shown kissing a young man passionately. She takes his virginity and ends up pregnant.

Violence & Gore

  • There are people shot, a open stomach and a stabbing, there is nothing too gruesome in it up to episode 8 not sure about any further than that.
  • A little girl is killed by one of the robot aliens. Her body is shown with a gunshot wound to her forehead.
  • The initial invasion uses EMP technology to kill billions of humans in one go. When the surviving humans come out of hiding, they find hundreds of dead bodies everywhere. These gradually rot and degrade.
  • A man falls down some stairs and is unconscious at the bottom. Another man decides to leave him so he can find his wife and save themselves from the impending invasion.
  • A teenage boy stabs a man to death. He's shown stabbing him multiple times. The man's wounds are shown with lots of blood before he dies.
  • A woman is shown hanging herself with bedsheets. She's shown struggling for air as she dies. It's short but very unpleasant.
  • A woman is hit by truck and dies.
  • A pregnant woman is shown to have had her fetus/baby cut out of her stomach and her abdomen crudely stapled back together. Very disturbing and gruesome.
  • A man pushes a teenage girl off a roof. Her body is shown on the floor with blood pooling around her head.
  • A young man is shot by an older man when he mistakes him for stealing from his shop. The younger man stabs the older man in self defense.
  • An imprisoned woman is shown with cuts and bruises as she's tied up to a radiator. She's later beaten by a man. This is all heard (her screaming and the sounds of being hit) but nothing is explicitly shown other than the man's reflection in frosted glass.

Profanity

  • 3 f-words along with 4 'shit' words and probably more with each episodes.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • A woman is shown to be a former drug user. She stops using drugs after adopting a young boy who's parents died in the invasion.
  • A teenage boy is shown drinking alcohol from a can. A teenage girl drugs the drink before taking the boy's blood when he's unconscious.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The robot aliens are quite scary as they shoot people on sight and without judgement. There are multiple child deaths which can be quite unsettling.
  • A group of surviving humans are held in a hospital, including newborn babies. It's very intense when the robot aliens invade the hospital, causing the adults to escape and leave the babies behind. The aliens are revealed to have kidnapped the babies so they can use their stem cells.
