Road House (2024)
Patrick I'm so sorry..
It starts off as a good simple bit of entertainment and a worthy re-boot then Connor Mcgreggor appears, oh dear just an awful actor Jake doesn't have the Swayze presence new abs or not. This is probably the worst movie I've seen since a Kevin Hart movie .
I'm now struggling with the word count to finish this!
The crocodile in it on the other hand is a class act, great screen presence and believable. CMc on the other hand is playing a giant caricature of himself and badly Vinnec Jones would have been a more believable casting as Dalton's nemesis or even Kevin Hart. The worry is we will now see more movies with with him in as a baddie the Rock and John Cena do not need to worry!
Up in the Air (2009)
It's in the detail..
The devil as they say is in the details and this film is a living testament to that. Not the greatest but a surprising uplifting gem of a movie George doing what he does best the little things a snigger a smile a glance Anna Kendrick is always great but without George she's lost on the screen. Highly recommended feel good film.
The End of the F***ing World (2017)
Incredible
Not sure I've seen a better show watched two seasons in two days - the characters and actors are outstanding really amusing too. It has an American noir feel to it but a great British style James and Alyssa stole my heart
Daybreak (2019)
A homage to Ferris
Wheeler, wheeler, anyon? Wheeler... I didn't know Bueller himself was in it but made sense once he was! I'm waiting gor Alan Ruck to pop up as a Ghoulie!
Fast Girls (2012)
Ok family film
I really enjoyed this especially as it was family friendly and good strong female characters - dialogue as bit amateurish but the cast do ok with it
The Hate U Give (2018)
Great film
I was aware of the book but not the story -
I honestly feel if you haven't seen this film you've missed out. Me and my 15 yr old daughter really enjoyed it, Lamar much better than I'd hoped for after the teen show I'd seen him in
Thought provoking and emotional had me gripped to the end
