Fool's Paradise (2023)
I've never wanted a movie to end, mid movie.
I'm a fan of Charlie Day and when I seen he had written and directed a film I was all in. All in until I saw the film. It's started okay at best and just got worse and worse as it progressed. I've never left a movie theater angry at a film before. I laughed about three times in a movie where Charlie Day is the main guy. It felt more like Charlie Kelly from sunny wrote and directed as opposed to Charlie Day himself. Not even as a deep message or parody can this pass for a good film. My opinion is that somewhere in this mess there was a good idea but a good idea doesn't equal good execution. Maybe next time big guy.
I Love My Dad (2022)
We have to be honest here....
People these days are zone focused on superhero films. That all fine and well but when your aren't on that wave and you want something different and new this film gives you that. It's funny, sad, maddening and heartfelt. James Morosini I applaud you for putting yourself out there.
Mulan (2020)
No thanks
Mulan the animation should've remained untouched. If you want to see a Mulan without the best parts of Disney in it that is live action and good, look for Mulan: rise of an empire.
Klaus (2019)
Reinvigorating Santa
As I get older Christmas gets less and less exciting for me as an adult. This movie has warmed my heart to the point that i want to believe with all my heart. This story is fresh, original and to me one of the best Christmas movies I've seen in my lifetime.
The Big Short (2015)
The movie no one cares for, the film everyone needs to see.
The movie puts in perspective the criminality that takes place within the one percent. Puts it into terms the lay person could understand so they can understand the corruption taking place. The whole time you are telling yourself ( what is this ) ( no way ) a hard pill to swallow as a working class. The acting is exactly what you expect from the actors in it. The film overall was a B+. From the director behalf I felt there were some cuts that didn't make sense to me and made me feel like something was left out. Although this is a movie that everyone should see it sad to know that it won't get its message across to the audience that needs it.
