Echoes (2022)
Pitiful
I quit 24 minutes into the first episode.
It's bad. It's really bad.
It's like a 1990s Lifetime TV type show, but worse.
LA sister flies to find out about Virginia sister on a horse farm.
Please! Then, every minute they insult the audience with a bunch of Unnecessary Flashbacks.
Silly Voice-Overs.
Poor acting.
Terrible dialogue. The lead actress is choppy in her delivery and mannerisms.
Way too much manufactured drama right in the beginning.
Of course, we find out in the first 5 minutes that LA sister was a troublemaker that split town...
If you don't believe me... go ahead... give it a try.
Epidemiya (2019)
Bad
They stole "28 Days Later" music.
They used "Sunshine" and "Walking Dead" music.
(John Murphy - Adagio in D Minor)
They stole "Inception" music (Episode 4)
(Hans Zimmer)
The English dubbing is silly in many spots.
Too many old Russian dudes.
This could have been better, but it wasn't.
Fear the Walking Dead: Divine Providence (2022)
Antibiotics ??
Victor brags about having Antibiotics.
This is season 7.
Antibiotics last 2 years.
Who is manufacturing the Antibiotics?
This seems like a huge goof.
The Tinder Swindler (2022)
Stupid, Stupid, Stupid Women
1) If it's too good to be True... well, you know the rest.
2) How dumb can these women be? Well, we found out.
3) These women were impressed by photos of super cars, watches, etc.
These are clearly idiots. They got what they deserved.
4) To future potential "Marks" that are considering a guy like this...
Find a decent man with a normal job and verify his education, etc.
Save yourself from being featured in the next Documentary.
5) Verify, Verify, Verify !!
6) When a guy tells you that his "Enemies" are tracking his phones. That's a dead giveaway.
7) These women were Not victims. They willfully and purposely chased Glitter, Gold, Fortune and BS.
They try to rationalize it as... "I fell in Love"
Anybody with 10% of a brain would have known this guy was a Fraud, Loser and Criminal.
Cosmic Sin (2021)
Atrocious
This movie was despicable.
Given Bruce Willis was in the movie, it makes it the worst piece of garbage I have ever viewed.
I remembering watching a movie called "The Bad Batch" with Jason Momoa and thinking that was the bottom of the barrel.
Now, this is the absolute bottom of the barrel, given it had a big time star in the lineup.
Disparu à jamais (2021)
Hopefully, this will be Gone for Good from Netflix
Do NOT watch this garbage.
I quit after the 3rd episode. It's that bad.
I should have quit after the first 20 minutes, but I thought it might get better... it didn't.
1) The main character dates a lady for two years and doesn't bother to ask her about anything before they met.
Later he finds out she's a prostitute and a custodian of a child and a bunch of other bad stuff.
What kind of idiot does this?
2) The ENGLISH dubbing is horrible. Absolutely horrific.
Sometimes, the ENGLISH dubbing is comical and garners chuckles. This is NOT the case.
3) Way too many BS tropes - Nazis, Overbearing Father, Stupid Family Dysfunction, etc.
4) The acting is atrocious.
Bottom line... don't bother.
We the Coyotes (2018)
Very Stupid
1) The girl had to steal money from her parents to finance her "dream."
2) The morons leave cash in the glove compartment and it gets stolen.
3) After their cash is stolen, they swim in the ocean leaving their phones on the beach. Dumb, dumb. dumb. Didn't they learn anything from a few hours earlier.
4) These idiots are the reason the gene pool should be thinned out.
This movie was stupid.
If people are this idiotic, they deserve their misery.
The Bad Batch (2016)
Human Protein ?
If the movie had depicted reality, Jason Mamoa would have been skinny like Jim Carey. Under those conditions - there is No Way those dudes would be jacked - even if they were eating humans.
Remember on ESPN, when the commentators would say: Come On Man !
This movie was a Cluster Fvck.
Was eating the rabbit at the End the final exclamation point that Life is Brutal?
I don't even know what this movie was trying to say.
They could have substituted all the A List actors with D List actors and they would have achieved the same result.
This movie was reprehensible, repugnant, ridiculous, heinous, hideous, insidious, disgusting and despicable. (All better synonyms than "Bad.")
Bob Lazar: Area 51 & Flying Saucers (2018)
MIT and Cal Tech - Really ?
Lazar claims to have graduated from MIT and Cal Tech.
But, those schools say there are No records of him being there.
This is not hard... ask Lazar to give the Names of 4 or 5 of his classmates.
Then, interview those classmates and see if he was really on campus.
( I graduated with a Graduate Degree from a Top 5 Engineering School in the US. I can give you 50 names of my classmates. They can all vouch that I was there, because we studied together all the time. )
If the MIT and Cal Tech claims are Bogus, then I call BS on the rest of his stories.
Also, Wikipedia says he was busted for being involved with a Prostitution ring.
Are you kidding me?
Bottom line: If he lied about MIT and Cal Tech, then that really tells you everything you need to know.
Triple Frontier (2019)
This movie is "The Town" - just set in the Jungle
I felt like I was watching The Town, just set in the Jungle.
In The Town, Affleck buries the money for the girl.
In this movie, they throw it into a crevice for a Sequel and they give away what little they extracted to the family of Affleck.
However, in The Town, they didn't do silly things like get too Greedy.
This movie was just okay. Not great. Not terrible.
I just don't believe that ex-Army Rangers and Green Berets would be talking so much and making other idiotic mistakes.
The characters were developed some, but not quite enough.
Also, there was a little too much drama between them.
Again, in real life, they would have completed the mission and fought back in the US.
Also, loading the Helicopter with 250 million was stupid. They cut it too close and they knew it. They could have flown out with 100 million and been set for life.
Obviously, this was a Morality play. Greed. Greed. Greed.
Me Before You (2016)
$50,000 worth of Clothes ???
To me, a Huge Glaring Flaw in the movie concerned the Main Character's Wardrobe.
She specifically stated that she needed the money for the job.
Her father was Not a rich man.
Yet, in every scene, she wore a totally different outfit.
Her fashionable outfits and boots and even her $200 umbrella didn't fit.
Where did she get $50,000 for all those clothes and accessories?
I really don't like movies that have this big of a Disconnect.
It's really an insult to the viewer.
American Sniper (2014)
Thanks to other Users that Posted Reviews
I was thinking about renting this movie on Charter, but I came to IMDb first, to read the reviews by the Users. After reading the reviews, I decided NOT to rent the movie. I really didn't want to put any money into the pocket of Eastwood.
1) I like Bradley Cooper, so I was inclined to rent the movie.
2) Eastwood should ask Bush/Cheney why they don't pickup a rifle and head to Iraq. If Bush and Cheney are devout on their belief to spread democracy to the Middle East, then why won't they go fight for that belief.
3) In real life, I enjoy the Irony that Chris Kyle was killed by: a) a Gun b) another Military guy c) in Texas d) at a Gun Range
Serves him right.
4) Like many reviewers pointed out, this guy was not a hero. I suspected this movie would be a Fox News type Propaganda pitch and other reviewers made that clear. Thanks Mr. Reviewers. Thanks for saving my Money.
5) Back to Bush... This moron basically doesn't have any balls. He is a proxy murderer of over 4,000 American troops. When is Eastwood going to make a movie about that?
6) One last time... THANKS to the User community that takes the time to write thoughtful and intelligent reviews. I use IMDb as a Tool and you helped save me $5.99. Bravo and Kudos to the Reviewers.
Inception (2010)
Excellent Blending of Two Stories with the same Concept
Christopher Nolan did an excellent job of intertwining two stories together that contained the same concept - Inception. The first story is Leonardo's experience with Inception and the second story is about how a Team facilitates Inception in Robert Fischer, who is the Target.
During the movie, DiCaprio (Dom Cobb) knows full well, that Inception is possible. However, he hides this fact for most of the movie. The meat of the first story is how Leonardo deals with the consequences and ramifications of planting an idea in his wife's mind.
The second story discusses the strategy that the Team will use to plant an idea in the Target's mind and then the second story actually shows them doing it. In a nutshell, the goal of the Team is to plant a pinwheel into a safe which is owned by Robert Fischer's father. Since Robert Fischer treasured a specific photograph which contained the pinwheel, the Team uses this as a means of validating the moment of Inception which they worked so hard to facilitate.
The two stories run parallel with each other throughout the movie and then at the end of the movie both stories present major revelations. In the first story, Inception has already taken place. In the second story, Inception is revealed. In other words, the audience finally comes to understand how Inception influenced DiCaprio throughout the entire film and the the audience also gets to see exactly how the Team architects an elaborate plan to manifest Inception in Robert Fischer - the Target.
The Dream within a Dream within a Dream is a sophisticated metaphor. Don't get overly concerned with trying to track every little movement throughout the layers. And, don't spend too much time worrying about the logic or possible conundrums that this metaphor presents. Enjoy the action and special effects, however, concentrate on the main thrust of the movie which is the notion of how Inception can radically affect and change a person's psyche.
Also, as the movie concludes, contemplate DiCaprio's involvement in the second story. In other words, you will come to appreciate how Nolan used DiCaprio's character to guide the Team with his specific knowledge, while at the same time, coming to grips with his own demons as a result of having already implemented a variation of the ongoing Team strategy in the first story.
