Harpy (1971)
Fantastic.
I remember watching this movie on TV when I was a kid. It was the first time I had ever seen or heard of a Harpy Eagle and the bird was absolutely beautiful! Have to remember I was a kid back then so information had to be required from adults and the local library, as there was no such thing as computers and the internet back then.
Then after watching the movie I took the time to research this bird at the local library and from there my next art project became a drawing of this magnificent bird in which many people wanted it after woods. But I declined and kept it for many years later.
Anyway if you get the chance to see this wonderful movie don't pass it up! I only wish I could get the chance to see it again someday.
Lady in the Water (2006)
Awesome Movie Totally Loved It.
Just finished watching it and thought the movie was just so beautiful. The music, the depth and understanding of ones purpose was just lovely to see in this movie. It sure makes a lovely change to most of the garbage that seems to be coming out of Hollywood these days. So thank you very much Mr M. Night Shyamalan for a wonderful and heart warming movie.
Furthermore, it's not very often I will watch a movie twice. Yet I am pleased to say that Lady in the Water and Flyboys are just two movies I will be watching again.
I wouldn't worry about the uneducated and microscopic minded critics who claim this movie is terrible. They can't help not having any understanding of what this movie is about anymore than having a brain inside of their heads. These kinds of people generally tend to hate or put down the things that they don't understand or the things that they hate.
Pity for them though. As they have missed something beautiful in this movie.
The Plague (2006)
Loved It...
Thought it was a fantastic movie and it kept me on the edge of my seat all the way through it.
I highly recommend watching this if you like scary movies that have a meaning behind it and something for you to think about after its finished.
What that meaning is I will let you decide.
Either way I am sure you wont be disappointed with it and I was very impressed with it.
It's been a long time since I have watched something as good as this. But then again Clive Barker had something to do with it so it had to be good.
Jeremiah (2002)
I loved it.
I loved this show and I basically lived to watch it every week. It was on rather late which was very frustrating. But what else is new when all the decent shows are on when everyone is suppose to be in bed.
I thought this show was really thought out well and at the end of each episode it left you hanging wanting more. I found myself watching the clock towards each episode and saying to myself. Please don't end now please don't end now. But alas it would end right when you did'nt want it to and you had to wait till next week to see the next episode.
I remember there was a time there where channel 7 actually had something in its place for two weeks. I was quite upset about this and even called them up saying get rid of that rubbish you have on in place of Jeremiah.
I really enjoyed but hate the way each episode would end and it reminded me so much of the days in which I use to watch Dallas. As Dallas was another series that would always end each episode with suspense.
I only wish there was more seasons to this show and I was really disappointed and sad to see it end after season two.
I cannot recommend this series enough and I highly enjoyed watching it. Now all I have to do is find the series on DVD.
Running on Empty (1982)
Awesome street racing movie from Australia!
I remember watching this movie many years ago on VHS at a friends place. At first I thought it would be a boring car movie. But much to my surprise it ended up being one of the best movies I can remember watching for its time.
It has a good story line and best of all it has some awesome Aussie cars and street racing. I really loved Fox's car the most which was a worked Dodge Charger. The paint work which was done on this car was truly outstanding in my opinion :)!
There's also a black two door blown 57 Chev which comes into the movie later on.
I actually managed to get a copy of this movie on VHS last year at K-Mart over here in Australia. I did have plans of converting this movie to DVD myself as I believe it is a movie worth the conversion. But much to my surprise this weekend while I was browsing the DVD movie bin I came across it on DVD. So of course I grabbed it while I could as it was the only copy there.
Anyway if you really want to see some classic street racing with real muscle cars, including a great story line without a rice burner in sight. Then this movie is for you!!!!
Here is some additional info taken from the back of the DVD.
He'll Win At Any Cost Fox is a young man that lives in the fast lane. He believes he is the fastest man on the road - but street racing is illegal. If he doesn't accept his latest challenge he could loose his girl... if he does accept, he could lose his life. Living dangerously, living fast and winning at any cost is their obsession. They don't turn back, the don't give in.. and the don't ask for help.
